The high pressure fuel pump failed while traveling causing the truck engine to shutdown placing us at risk of a collision when we took the vehicle to ford dealership in Morrilton, AR we were advised that the CP4 pump or high pressure fuel pump failed containing the entire fuel system with metal shavings. The cost to repair this failure is over $13,000 causing us to take out a loan.

This is a major safety issue especially if you have children in the car, at the time I had my [XXX] in the vehicle, unable to drive it. Recently, temperatures have dropped significantly in November here in Massachusetts, and I had to drive with my toddler with no heat, in freezing temperatures and cover my child with a blanket. I was told by the dealership service staff that I needed to clean my car so the heat can work, after vacuuming my car I dropped it off again December and showed them for the 5th time that the car is blowing cold air, while the heating temperature is max and “hot”. In November, on a random day I arrived home and the car engine did not want to turn off after pressing the “off” button, we had to park the car far away from our home in fear that it will catch fire or start “having a mind of its own”, the vehicle decided to shut off on its own after an hour, I also shared this with the dealership. There is no reason that tires that are a few years old wth only 9500 miles on them should have this uniform dry rot type cracking on all 4 tires. I took the truck to Discount tire and the technician confirmed that the tires were not safe to operate so now I have to buy all 4 tires and I am replacing the spare as well. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives, or others? The police have inspected the vehicle following the incidents. Were there any warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? No, there were no warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms prior to the failure. To provide more context: The first incident occurred during cold, snowy weather, which I initially suspected might be a contributing factor. However, the second incident took place during moderate weather conditions, eliminating extreme temperatures as a possible cause. Both times, the vehicle was stationary while I was inside my workplace, and surveillance footage confirmed that no individuals or external factors were near the vehicle. After researching this issue, I found that other Acura RDX owners, particularly models from 2019-2024, have experienced similar occurrences of rear window glass shattering without cause. Performed diagnostics and found P0300, P0304 and P0204 all relating to cylinder 4 misfire and injector issues on cylinder 4. Truck has just over 47,000 miles and may be related to the lifter issues that plague this engine design.

Modern white LED Headlights too bright, even on Equinox (constantly flashed with low beams on). My son (20), wife (56), and I (52) are dazzled by new LED headlights. It's actually a huge problem, headlights are too dazzling. I know we're not the only ones dazzled.

Dash Warning: Check Engine Light, "Engine Power is Reduced!" and Traction Control. Code Reader Results: P2138 (APP) Accelerator Pedal Position Sensors - Not Plausible. Replaced with NEW OEM Part(s) - APP, Electrical Throttle Body and M15 Fuse - which did NOT fix issues and now due to safety concerns (further damage to vehicle and personal preservation) will be towing to dealership for diagnosis.

Company don’t put warranty on battery if it is replaced under car warranty. My car is only 33 months old and i have to change battery twice, It might happen again. Severe oil consumption approximately every 2,000 miles the oil light comes on and I have to take it in. Had it serviced at 10,000 miles was told nothing was wrong. The oil light came on again after about 2000 miles from service. Have taken it for oil top off about 7 times approximately every 2,000 miles or so since purchased.

At 3 separate times while driving my car just suddenly brakes and one of the times was doing between 40 and 50 with no other car around and suddenly with no warning car starts beeping and comes to an abrupt halt jacking the seatbelt tight and coming to a complete stop then proceeding along as if nothing happened.
