I purchased a 2014 Audi A6 2.0T Quattro premium plus on November 15, 2024 with 99,141 miles. I got the 14 day dealership extended warranty, which covered powertrain systems. ... hanged the oil so it should be good now. I drove it another 3 days 136 miles this time, and the oil light came on once again. Brought it back a 2nd time to the dealership’s mechanic. After about a week, we heard back and they told us he still couldn’t find anything wrong, but agreed that for some reason, the engine is consuming oil more than it should be. At this point we go to an actual Audi dealership where they tell us that the pistons and turbo were the problem so they would have to rip apart the engine and seal everything back up. At the time we purchased the vehicle on top of the 14 day dealership warranty we also purchased an extended warranty by a company called integrity warranty LLC. Our warranty company decided that they were not going to cover the cost of the parts and labor in order to fix my Audi, because they said it was a pre-existing issue prior to us purchasing the vehicle which we had not heard of before, or even seen on the Carfax report. On February 25 I was driving at night 25 mph and I came to a red light stopped my car and began smelling a very strange smell. Saw a lot of smoke coming from the exhaust in the back, the dashboard lights began flickering, the steering wheel start to shake, and then the car just shut down. Now I am without a vehicle, the dealership will not help us, the warranty company will not help us, and I now have to purchase a new car while still making payments on the Audi that doesn’t work.Read more

When doing research on the issue, it came to my attention that this is a known issue pertaining to my vehicle, and that Hyundai is aware. Again, particularly in the south, this IS a safety hazard. Hyundai confirms that a couple different issues with the car can cause a “premature failure” of the compressor. I’ve replaced it once before and it’s incredibly expensive, and I don’t think it should already be failing again, and it sounds like Hyundai agrees with me. The logical thing to do here is to issue a recall on the part, which would allow myself and others with this issue to get it fixed at no cost. I can’t afford a major repair like this, as I just recently replaced the catalytic converter and o2 sensors as well. On January 10, 2025, I was driving my 2024 Toyota Corolla Cross and entered a parking lot to park. I started a three-point turn to park head-in and was slowly turning the steering wheel to the right. I was about to switch from the accelerator to the brake when the car suddenly accelerated rapidly. It felt like the front of the car lifted, and I lost control, colliding with a parked car to the left
... of the space. The distance between the two cars was about 5 feet, and the sudden acceleration lasted only 1-2 seconds. My car has a proximity warning and automatic emergency braking system, (Pre-Collision System) but neither activated, and the airbags did not deploy. My husband, in the passenger seat, heard a loud engine noise when the car surge forward unexpectedly. After the crash, I parked the car, checked for any objects near the pedals but found nothing. The other car had rear bumper damage, and mine had significant front-right damage, including a severely worn tire. I reported the incident to the police, exchanged information with the other driver, and called a tow truck. I later suspected a malfunction in the throttle or safety systems, such as the proximity warning or braking systems, which failed to activate. No prior warning lights or issues were present. The failure of these systems increased the risk to both myself and others in the parking lot. The cause of the malfunction has not been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or service center. The vehicle’s onboard diagnostic (OBD) system could be checked for errors, as a potential cause of the sudden acceleration but was told that it is difficult to diagnose such issues and was told that it was slim to find anything even if I did a diagnostic check. Description of problem/issue: Dear Reader: I recently purchased a new (certified preowned) vehicle and ever since then I have been experiencing some concerns with its handling on the road. This letter seeks to communicate this matter to the proper establishment for some possible recourse. On level roads while the steering wheel is centered straight up (near/over 40mph), the car tends to autom
... atically glide to the left of the lane or coast quickly to the right and won’t stay centered in the lane very long without driver input to steer the car back to the center of the lane. Then when re-centering the car it roams in the other direction, and so forth (an oscillating effect). The issue is that the car diverts from the center of the lane and to maintain the center of the lane the driver has to constantly work at pulling the vehicle back to center. This is not the type of driving performance that I would expect on a new or certified new vehicle. It is both a nuisance and a hazard having to constantly steer the vehicle to center up in the lane. The car’s auto Lane Assist and Departure Assist and auto Steering Assist features are turned off during this time. And even when all these Driver Assist Features are turned back on the drifting/pulling pattern is quite pronounced or seems to be compensating in my opinion. A Google search of the term “2023 Toyota corolla pulls to both sides” produces some great results as to the possible cause and effect. I have never driven a vehicle that diverts so quickly from its own lane so shortly after the driver’s hand is removed from the steering wheel. Nevertheless, the issues that I pointed out remains very alarming and nerve-racking for me! For safety reasons I’m still not pleased with how the car handles on the road. The cv joint axles are failing. No axles on a new car or truck should EVER fail under 100k miles. Ford maverick axles are failing at under 50k miles. And mine failed at 22k miles. And Ford will only replace 1 at a time. Not only is this a manufacturer defect that can cause accidents or injury but Ford needs to yet again be held accountable. No one pays good money for a factory faulty vehicle.

This has now happened 8+ times. While traveling on the highway towing either a boat or trailer, my engine shuts down. This has happened at 75 mph. The error code :Auto StartStop Shift to P, then Restart Engine" displays on the instrument panel. Power steering does not work, steering becomes quite difficult. ... a highway, I lost all power 3-5 times in one trip. Each time I coasted to the safety strip, put the truck in park, and restarted. Several times the vehicle would not restart immediately. I pulled off the highway and did some research and disables the Auto Start/Stop feature, which seemed to alleviate the issue. Unfortunately I cannot permanently disable the feature. I did stop at a Ford dealership and showed them a picture of the error code. The dealership did not have a fix, and stated it was not a known issue. The last instance was in November, I have not towed since then. Today another mechanic flashed the PM module that controls Auto Start/Stop for another issue, an emissions recall, but did not know if that update would also clear up the towing issue.
