1st safety problem is while accelerating, there is a rough shift in gears despite being an automatic transmission. While attempting to gradually and safely accelerate, vehicle causes an abrupt deceleration where rpms drop and vehicle occupants are thrown forward during the process. Vehicle was brought to Ford Dealership for repair. They noted a known issue with transmission and completed a softwar
... e restart/update. Vehicle gear shift improved slightly for short period of time but eventually resumed and is noticeably worse in colder months. This problem has been noticed while turning, resulting in near misses with oncoming traffic and is concerning when entering/merging with traffic at highway speeds. There were no dashboard warning light indicators at any point. Battery was in good condition. 2nd concern: Engine fire ups up on start but stalls while idling when shifting out of park as well as in stopped traffic. "Auto startstop, shift to P, then restart engine" notification presents on gauge display. This requires multiple attempts to get vehicle restarted with following notification instructions and shutting off/restarting engine. Disengaging auto startstop on startup is inconclusive about remedying the situation. Battery was tested as good but replaced anyway due to age to rule out battery related concerns. Contacted Ford dealership service department and they replied, "they have never heard of it happening." They denied knowledge of any TSB, CSP or recalls/complaints about the issue. However, it appears this issue is well documented on multiple Ford models and various production years. Other than instrument/gauge display of "Auto startstop, shift to P, then restart engine" occurring after the fact, there is no warning light indicators. Safety is at risk due to stoppage of traffic and loss of power/ability to accelerate or maneuver vehicle in traffic situations to include clearing intersections with oncoming traffic while turning at low speeds/idling.Read more

-Transmission valve body Failure, Wheel lock up, ABS Event, Loud Bang and a Flashing "D" on Driver Information Center (DIC) when Lightly or Moderately Accelerating Forcing an 8-7 or 8-6 Downshift -When all four tires lock up at a high rate of speed, this puts the driver, the passengers, and all others on the road at risk for injury or death. -Yes, the problem has been found in a document by my loc
... al dealer that this issue was added to my exact vehicle's service manual on 11/27/24. The document describes in detail the exact scenario I have been involved in multiple times. It is deemed as #21-NA-275. It locks up the tires randomly to the vehicle in mid acceleration at any speed including 80 miles per hour in one instance for me. -Yes, the dealership inspected it and found the issue to correlate with the newly added section to the service manual, 13333166. This document ID is 5925530 and the added information to the dealership is #21-NA-275. The GMC manufacturer has been contacted as of 3PM MST 3/14/25. Insurance doesn't deal with mechanical problems. The police will only be involved when there is death or injury. -No. The only warning that happens is simultaneously as the vehicle locks up the tires causing the driver (me) to inevitably try to save myself and others, swerving and trying to focus on not hurting myself or others but I did notice the "D" flash on one of these occasions. This is the most dangerous issue with a vehicle I have ever even considered. At any time, for any reason, all four tires can lock up at any rate of speed and cause multiple casualties. The way to fix this is to spend $3,000 which I am sure many people like myself do not have. This means there are thousands of these exact make and models of vehicles on the road right now. Please do not take this lightly as I have almost crashed multiple times with people in my vehicle due to no fault of my own.Read more

I am experiencing significant and persistent vibrations at highway speeds (60–75 mph) in my 2024 Kia EV9. Despite multiple dealership visits and repair attempts, the issue remains unresolved. ThirdVisit (Feb 25): The dealership identified three wheels with lateral runout and replaced them. They also performed road force balancing, reportedly bringing all values below 16. 4.Test Drive (Feb 25): After picking up my vehicle, I drove on the interstate and found the vibrations had worsened, now starting at 60 mph instead of 70 mph. •A third-party wheel shop inspected the wheels and found the fourth wheel (not replaced by Kia) was defective and out of round. 5.Dealership’s Response: Despite these findings, Kia dealer dismissed my concerns and referred me to another dealership for a second opinion. They also stated that third-party evaluations are not accepted, creating an endless loop where I cannot get the issue properly addressed. Safety Concerns: •Vibrations impact vehicle stability and driver comfort, especially on long trips. •Extended driving with excessive vibrations may lead to fatigue, reduced control, and premature mechanical wear. •The fact that multiple components (wheels, tires) have required replacement raises concerns about a potential manufacturing defect affecting Kia EV9 models. Request for Investigation: The dealership has failed to resolve this issue despite multiple repair attempts, and their refusal to acknowledge third-party findings leaves me with no clear resolution path. I request that NHTSA investigate potential defects in the wheels, tires, or drivetrain system of the Kia EV9.Read more

I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction and concern regarding my recently purchased 2025 Mazda CX-90. I purchased the vehicle on February 15, 2025, and it currently has approximately 1,100 miles on it. Since acquiring the vehicle, I have experienced a persistent and extremely loud squeaking noise from the brakes, which occurs spontaneously. At times, the squeaking is so loud that pedes
... trians turn to look when I drive by. In an effort to address this issue, I took the vehicle to Royal Palm Beach Mazda for inspection. The service department informed me that this is a known issue with this model and that Mazda has not yet identified a solution. They stated that there was nothing they could do at this time to fix the problem. Additionally, while I was at the dealership, I encountered another Mazda CX-90 owner who was experiencing the same issue. Concerned about the safety of my vehicle, I reached out to Mazda Headquarters, but I was again told that there is not much that can be done. This response is deeply troubling. I purchased a brand-new vehicle expecting a reliable and safe driving experience. Now, I am left questioning whether my brakes are safe and whether this issue will worsen over time. I am particularly concerned about whether the brakes will function properly when I need to stop in an emergency. Given that this appears to be a widespread issue affecting multiple vehicles, Mazda should take responsibility by either issuing a recall or offering to repurchase the vehicle. Driving a brand-new car with a potential brake defect is unacceptable and possibly dangerous. I look forward to your prompt response and a satisfactory resolution to this matter. Incident date: Nov 1, 2023
The windshield cowl on this vehicle is poorly designed, allowing water intrusion from multiple points. This is not a minor leak but a severe design flaw that creates immediate and dangerous safety hazards while driving, particularly at highway speeds. The most critical issue is water pouring directly onto the serpentine belt and pulley system. While driving at highway speeds in heavy rain, I lost
... power steering after water intrusion caused the belt to slip. This sudden loss of steering assist made the vehicle extremely difficult to control, especially in traffic and during turns. Another major safety risk is water intrusion onto the engine fuse box. While driving at highway speeds, water poured into the fuse box, causing electrical shorting. This led to severe overheating that burned my windshield wiper wiring, making the wipers inoperable and drastically reducing visibility. Surrounding wires also melted, posing a significant fire hazard. The sudden electrical failure and loss of visibility created an extremely dangerous situation. Additionally, water pooling on the transmission can drain into the breather hole, allowing significant water intrusion into the transmission fluid. This can cause erratic shifting, transmission failure, or complete power loss. At highway speeds, this can lead to sudden deceleration or loss of acceleration, putting drivers and others at serious risk. This issue has been experienced by multiple owners and confirmed by independent service centers. It is not a DIY repair—the defective cowl design allows excessive water ingress. There are no warning lights or messages before failure, only sudden and dangerous symptoms once water intrudes. This is a major safety concern, particularly at highway speeds, where sudden power steering loss, electrical failure, or transmission issues can lead to catastrophic consequences. Immediate investigation and corrective action are necessary to prevent accidents, injuries, or fatalities.Read more

While driving the vehicle(speed does not matter as this has occurred while standing at a stop light) all safety warning lights illuminate on the dash and render all of my safety features inoperative. ... over, turn the vehicle off and open the drivers side door to shut off the RAC (Retained Accessory Control), let the vehicle sit for a minute or two, then restart the vehicle. All light will remain off and the car will function normally. This issue occurs at least 2-3 times per week and is extremely frustrating. I've taken the vehicle to the dealership several times for what they have determined to be a "software issue". Several trips have been for recalls, others have been for this issue and my Infotainment system going black. The Infotainment system going black is the second major issue with this vehicle. The dealership was able to get the system operating again with an additional software update, however it has not completely remedied the problem. The Infotainment system will still black out, but for only a quick second, then it comes back on. When it does this, I loose all settings including profiles and SiriusXM programmed stations. I've done a master reset on the Infotainment system and have had it back to the dealership, but it still has not been 100% resolved. They said this is a very common issue with thes
... e cars (2020 Blazer/Original Owner), and looking online there is a plethora of people with the exact same issue (low mileage, complete radiator replacement due to seal going bad on upper driver side). This is insane, you spend 40k on a car, maintain it well, and the parts fail this prematurely with no available recall? Now I am stuck with an $1,800 bill with no legal recourse? I mean the dealership said it is a widely known issue, and GM has admitted that the seal is bad, but there's no consumer protection from this big of a company? Only thing covered under powertrain warranty is the thermostat (wow thanks GM!) Thanks for any help you can provide.Read more

at only 55k miles my 2020 toyota rav4 has shown an “engine maintenance required” sign. not to be mistaken with general maintenance. apparently this is a widely common issue where brand new toyotas are having cooling bypass valve issue. however concerningly so, because there are no recalls for this problem yet seemingly every rav4 has this problem? how is there no recall, everyone is paying out

I Have only had this truck for 2 months. I was driving and making a turn and the electrical power steering stopped working and the steering wheel locked. I almost crashed and drove into a ditch with my whole family in the truck. Including a [XXX]. I had to slam on the breaks and barely able to keep the truck from crashing. Dashboard said " Power Steering unavailable Service Required". I turned off
... the truck and restarted it to see if it would fix the issue. It did not. I drove the rest of the way home going slow with the hazard lights on. Steering wheel needed to be muscled for it to make the smallest turn. I had to drive over curbs because it would have been impossible to make some of the turns needed to get home. I called Ram and reposted the incident. They did not care because my vin is not listed for the recall and that the recall is "VIN specific". I do not understand this. VIN specific means each truck would be custom made and all different. Why is my family's life being risked and not being taken seriously. Once home, I have not been back in the truck. I turned it on the next day and the alert is gone and the wheel moves again. A family of 5 is now at risk. I had to put the truck in reverse again and then back in drive a second time to get it to shift into drive. This incident almost caused a wreck, because the truck would not shift into drive and move.
