The vehicle has an engine flaw, which caused the vehicle engine to stop running while I was driving down a busy highway to take my children to their activities. There was no indication of engine trouble, no dashboard lights, no warnings at all. All the preventive maintenance was

Now I am finding out from the dealership and the manufacturer that the engine does have a known Oil Consumption issue causing the combustion chamber to need cleaning before and beyond a preventive maintenance schedule. But there still needs to be a warning light or something to inform the driver about the potential engine cut off. It is unsafe to drive, and unfair for the owner to pay for this manufacturer flaw.Read more

I am a single owner of a ‘87 Nissan Hardbody D21 pickup. Speedometer needle is made of plastic and curls from the heat.I live in Tucson AZ. The needle curls inward toward the faceplate of the speedometer. Other incidences relayed to me from other Nissan pickup owners are where the needle curls away or up from the original position. The problem is widespread here in the Southwest, even if unrepor
... ted. The safety issue is the driver does not know the actual speed when operating the vehicle. Especially when the needle has curled inward against the faceplate of the speedometer. Actual miles don’t end up being accrued either. The issue occurred originally about 15 yrs ago. In pursuing a repair at that point repair facilities specializing in this kind of repair, said that the entire speedometer assembly would need to be replaced. Approx 2010 that estimate received (Auto Tech 3719 S Palo Verde Rd Tucson AZ 520-314-3914) was nearly $700. I only wanted to replace the needle since that was the only part that failed. The Nissan dealership, (Thoroughbred Nissan 5163 E 22nd St 520-618-6500) where I purchased the vehicle new in Dec ‘87 was going to charge closer to $1200. I still own this vehicle, am now retired, on a fixed income. While I would like the peace of mind of having this issue resolved my repair budget is severely limited. I still own the vehicle so it would available for inspection upon request.Read more

Jaguar Land Rover North America (JLR) continues to neglect its federal recall obligations for the 2019 I-PACE under recalls H441, H514, and H536, exposing owners to serious fire risks. Despite multiple recall efforts, thermal overload incidents persist, proving JLR’s interim remedies—software updates and charging restrictions—are ineffective. JLR admits in its notices that affected vehicles
... remain unsafe, yet fails to resolve the defect or provide fair compensation. The only remedy is a manufacturer buyback, but JLR systematically undervalues offers, basing them on depressed Kelley Blue Book (KBB) values from Oct 2024 instead of pre-defect values minus reasonable depreciation. This forces owners into financial losses while JLR’s delays further erode resale value. JLR has refused to provide clear documentation on its buyback calculations, delayed responses to affected owners, and employed coercive tactics, telling consumers to accept flawed offers or risk future depreciation. In March 2023, nine months after purchasing our I-PACE, we experienced the first of three "Traction Battery Faults," narrowly avoiding fire. Since then, our vehicle has been restricted to an 80% charge, reducing range by 26% while still requiring outdoor parking due to fire risk. JLR’s failure to act promptly violates federal safety standards and leaves affected vehicles as potential hazards in public spaces. I urge NHTSA to investigate and enforce timely recall remedies, fair valuation processes, and immediate buyback completion. Owners should not be receiving emails like this. "It appears that we cannot agree on the repurchase of your MY2019 Jaguar I-PACE impacted by recall H514/H536. Please note that this final recall remedy will remain open on your vehicle. In the future, should you decide to accept the H536 final recall remedy (repurchase) for your MY2019 Jaguar I-PACE, the amount offered at that time may not be the same as today, due to depreciation, age, and mileage."Read more

Vehicle Component: Exterior Mirrors Make: Tesla Model: Model Y Model Year(s): 2022, 2023, 2024 (and ongoing) Problem Description: Since the 2022 model year, the Tesla Model Y has exhibited a recurring issue with excessive vibration in the driver side exterior mirror at highway speeds. The vibration becomes noticeable around 50 mph and increases in severity with speed, making it difficult to clear

The vibration affects driver visibility and could pose a significant safety risk, particularly during lane changes or merging maneuvers. Numerous Model Y owners have reported similar complaints in forums and online communities, suggesting this may be a widespread issue. Tesla service centers have been unable to provide a consistent or effective fix for the problem. Safety Concern: The impaired visibility caused by the vibrating mirror compromises driver awareness and increases the likelihood of collisions. So, of course the light comes back on the next day. I don’t believe it needs a new transmission. No signs that it does. So I called the dealership and they wouldn’t answer , all departments went to voice mail. So, I called Honda corporate, and they wouldn’t answer next day thw dealership calls me asking me when I can bring the car back up there. So I brought it up there and got into a loaner this time for three weeks now. Was told last week our car is good to go and I can come pick it up and once I got there the check engine light and emission light was still on so they lied to us The corporate office won’t approve a good will transmission because of documentations that they should already have but don’t. And Duval Honda told us to bring the loaner back or they are gonna report it as an unauthorized use of the vehicle which we prolly put me in jail so I asked the gm at Duval Honda if he can at least extend it till the in of the week so we can figure something out since we have jobs and kids and no way of any transportation that he is gonna put us on the streets far as walking and he could careless and told us to get a rental car and if we don’t turn the car in then he will report it. ENGLISH TRANSLATION: Hello everyone. Three months ago, I bought a 2012 Mercedes-Benz C250 in Argentina. About a month after I had the car, I hit the road. (Here in Argentina, it's very common for roads to be single-lane, two-way, so overtaking requires very precise maneuvering.) Vehicle: 2024 Tesla Model 3 Date of Incident: [Insert Date] Location: Intersection of [XXX] Operating Mode: Tesla Autopilot (Engaged) On the above date, while driving with Tesla Autopilot engaged, the vehicle initiated an unexpected and improper right turn at the intersection of [XXX] This maneuver was not indicated in the planned navigation route, nor was it consistent with the legal road mark
... ings or signage in the area. The vehicle turned into a clearly marked “Do Not Enter” and “Wrong Way” zone, without any driver input or confirmation. I attempted to intervene, but the turn happened abruptly and could not be safely overridden in time. This resulted in a collision, vehicle damage, and physical trauma to both occupants — including nausea and vomiting in my wife immediately after impact. Dashcam footage from the right repeater camera confirms the presence of multiple “Do Not Enter” signs visible at the point of the turn. We have requested the Tesla Event Data Recorder (EDR) logs to confirm that Autopilot was active and that steering input came from the system, not the driver. I am reporting this as a serious safety concern related to Tesla’s Autopilot system and its decision-making at intersections. If this had occurred in a busier traffic environment, the result could have been far worse. This type of navigational or perception failure should be investigated immediately. Both occupants are seeking medical treatment and continuing to deal with the emotional and physical aftereffects of this incident. Made a turn at 15 mph and the car shut off by itself randomly. This is the fourth time it’s happened since owning the vehicle.
