The transmission shutters and malfunctions at various times during driving. This puts not only the driver and passengers at risk but other vehicles and drivers on the road because it’s an abrupt malfunction. At one point it failed In the middle of traffic and we couldn’t move. I have had the issue diagnosed by a transmission shop. They diagnosed it as a failing transmission, which is common. T
... hey told us with these nine speed transmissions, and Chevy traverse. They also advised that it the cost is $10-$15,000 to repair. And they say they have a lot of experience with these failing. Which is why we believe it should qualify for a recall. My vehicle is available for inspection at any time. I was told over the phone by a Chevy dealership that that was the likely caused by just hearing the symptoms over the phone because they’ve had experience with so many failures like this. During the failure in traffic my check engine light showed up and there was an error shown but it disappeared when I restarted the vehicle and failed to take Note of what it was.Read more

When making a left or right turn in this vehicle, there is a distinct knocking or clicking sound coming from under the drivers foot area. This appears to be an issue with multiple 2024 Grand Highlander owners.

The left head light has failed. As a result, these are the functionality issues I am experiencing: 1. Loss of power to power mirrors. This causes issues because the mirrors do not retract, and have to be manually adjusted before each drive session. They have folded in while driving, causing hazardous driving conditions without use of the mirrors. 2. Windshield wiper fluid dispenser has lost functi

Windshield wipers will only work on one setting, being the fastest setting 4. Dash panel not displaying information such as temperature, trip information, and proper odometer readings. Low fuel notifications not showing properly. I almost ran out of fuel because I was unaware or actual fuel levels 5. Lift gate not opening from key fob 6. Neither headlight will operate in "bright" mode, despite only one head light being compromised. This is a major issues that has affected many Venza drivers. There are a multitude of reports on Reddit and other forums that discuss these issues. What's worse, is that Toyota has tied critical electrical components and functionality to a single headlight, which happens to be very costly to remedy (Over $1000k). There were no warnings present, just issues identified after the headlight failure, and these are only the ones I have discovered thus far. This needs to be recalledRead more

The component that failed is the roof rail clips that hold the roof rack to the vehicle (Toyota Service Bulletin T-SB-0040-24). The clips under the rail fail and cause water to leak into the headliner and down the A-pillars on both sides of the vehicle. It presents itself by causing water staining where the headliner meets the A-pillar cover. This issue presented itself in January of 2023, a few m
... onths after we bought the vehicle. Toyota Bountiful (Utah) tried to tell us that it is the sunroof drain lines that are clogged and required a $100 service to clear them which is an annual service. After some push back they found the problem with the roof rack clips. However, they only replaced the passenger side and neglected to repair both sides. April of 2025 the driverside failed and Toyota Bountiful once again confirmed that the driverside clips failed. This creates a danger to the front occupants of the vehicle by allowing a possible mold issue within the cabin. Secondly, it allows water into the front curtain airbags of the vehicle.Read more

The vehicle’s air suspension system failed multiple times, followed by failures in the rod and/or crankshaft engine components. Currently, the vehicle is also experiencing engine warning lights and reduced propulsion issues. The vehicle is currently at the dealership and is available for inspection upon request. The loss of propulsion and engine failures create a serious safety hazard on the roa
... d, as the vehicle can unexpectedly lose speed or stop functioning, increasing the risk of rear-end collisions or being stranded in dangerous traffic situations. The dealership has explicitly stated that the vehicle is not safe to drive due to the risk of potential accidents. Yes, the dealership has confirmed the air suspension failure and the engine component damage. However, they have not yet been able to identify the exact cause of the current reduced propulsion issue despite multiple service attempts. The vehicle has been inspected multiple times by the dealership’s service department. Prior to the failures, engine warning lights and other dashboard warning signals appeared. These warning indicators first appeared after the air suspension failure and before the reduced propulsion issue emerged. These issues closely match the conditions described in the recent GMC recall; however, our specific vehicle model was not included in the recall. We believe this might be a systemic issue and request that NHTSA investigate whether the recall scope should be expanded.Read more

This incident changed our lives. I have chronic back pain and PTSD. My friend hasn’t worked since. Tesla has not taken accountability. I was told internal footage exists and others have seen it, but I’ve never been given access. No third party (manufacturer, police, or insurer) has inspected the vehicle—only Tesla. I tried to buy the wreck at auction to preserve evidence but; my bid for a totaled tesla was $10k, it was declined. There were no warning lights or alerts before the crash. Autopilot failed. If the car had veered into traffic or pedestrians, people might’ve died. Instead of support, I was found at fault by AAA (despite no citation), received six points, and my premium rose to $2,200/month. Tesla must be held accountable. Consumers deserve transparency. Autopilot gave no warning and couldn’t avoid a tree in broad daylight. I urge the NHTSA to investigate this crash, request the vehicle’s data/video, and provide resources for victims of vehicle tech failures. I can supply witness contacts and medical documentation. Transmission is failing, fluid was black and burnt at 35k miles (dealer did not provide a large enough sample to allow for testing the fluid because I didn't specify the amount I needed), and vehicle is not throwing a CEL or MIL so therefore Toyota says that there is no defect. Fluid change did improve the functioning, but it did not correct the problem. Transmission failures are a known problem o
... n numerous Toyota vehicles using an A series transmission. My vehicle has done this and progressively worsened since it had roughly 500 miles on it. Dealership originally refused to document my complaints in their system and Toyota Customer Care's assistance has been minimal at best. My vehicle suffers from numerous of the same complaints that are listed under the 2024 model Tacoma. Before servicing the transmission fluid the vehicle would occasionally have an extremely hard shift around 55mph that would result in the truck spinning tires on the interstate which shouldn't even be possible. I actually managed to capture a short video of the dash as it was doing this once and even sent it to Toyota but they said if they can't replicate it then it doesn't count. I think there needs to be an investigation into Toyota's transmission issues as well as someone should investigate their programming for MIL/CEL activation parameters as their vehicles are alerting the driver's to a problem until there is a complete and total failure which could leave the driver in an unnecessary and dangerous situation that could possibly be avoided if the driver was informed when the "Fail-safe" features activate instead of when they're unable to compensate. I am unable to load the video through this computer; however, I can upload the video from my phone upon request.Read more

I am experiencing excessive oil consumption in my Volkswagen Tiguan. I took my vehicle to one authorized dealership which diagnosed the issue as "pushed up" valve seals and recommended replacement. Furthermore, I am aware of a publicly known class action lawsuit regarding excessive oil consumption in the 2022 Volkswagen Tiguan, suggesting this may be a broader issue. My attempts to resolve this with Volkswagen of America have been unsuccessful, with representatives refusing to escalate my concerns and hanging up on me. The potential for misdiagnosis and inadequate repair of the excessive oil consumption issue could lead to severe engine damage, including stalling or seizure while driving, thus increasing the risk of an accident and jeopardizing the safety of myself and others. I am the original owner of a 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 (VIN: [XXX] ) and began experiencing serious mechanical and electrical issues while the vehicle was still under warranty around 40,000 miles. These included engine RPM fluctuations at idle, vibrations under acceleration above 65 MPH, and intermittent misfiring — all symptoms that are now believed to be early indicators of defective lifters or val
... ve train components. I also experienced repeated electrical failures including a rear turn signal malfunction due to melting/corroded taillight sockets, a thumping rear-end noise, differential knocking, and body panel issues (hood lifting at highway speeds). These were reported multiple times to authorized GMC dealers (Mike Haggerty GMC and Rizza GMC), but I was told there was no issue or no repairs were made. GM refused to assist when I escalated the issue in 2017 via a detailed email, despite all problems occurring within the warranty period. I’m now dealing with a persistent ticking sound from the engine and loss of power, which matches widespread reports of lifter failure in GM’s 5.3L/6.2L V8 engines. These failures pose both a mechanical and safety risk due to stalling, misfiring, and potential electrical fires (in my case, from a failed taillight socket). A class action lawsuit ([XXX], et al. v. General Motors LLC) has been filed regarding these known defects, yet GM has not issued a recall. I’m filing this complaint to add my case to the record and urge NHTSA to investigate these issues.
