Last week I was driving 70MPH on the highway when suddenly I got the red wrench icon with the message "Service Hybrid Electrical System" on the dashboard. After about 7 seconds I then got a "Put foot on brake and press start" message on the screen - while still going 70MPH on the highway. At that point the car died. The car came back to life, but I didn't have the full hybrid system - I only had gas - the car was not using any electrical power as the battery level remained constant and did not drop as I drove. I continued for another 20 minutes where I stopped for lunch. When I returned to the car it started up normally and continued to run normally after that. This is the 3rd of 4th time the red wrench icon with the Service Hybrid system warning coming up, but on the previous times the message went away after about 5 seconds and the car drove normally. This is the only time that it caused the car to completely die on my while on the highway. I found out a few weeks ago while trying to trade my truck in to Jim Browne Chevrolet dealer that my particular truck the 2021 Chevrolet Silverado High Country with the 6.2 engine had known issue with the engine locking up and was afraid to take my truck in on trade due to his service manger going through this same experience. So I paid top dollar for a high end Chevrolet truck to be stuck with not being able to trade it and now not being able to drive it. I called the dealer and was told that my trucks vin number was not part of the recall for this issue but there are trucks that are the same year, model, and engine type that are covered under this recall. On April 12, 2025, my 2018 Hyundai Tuson which only has 99,000 miles started stalling out at random speeds. The vehicle stalled going up a hill and would not accelerate it would also not go past 55-60 miles per hour on the highway. There were no check engine lights or codes on the dashboard. I could be hit by another vehicle while trying to accelerate or merge on the highway. I reported the oil consumption last November and I contacted Hyundai customer care who issued a case number in May 2025 for the stalling issue, they instructed me to take it to the Hyundai dealership to be diagnosed. There is a recall out, but they said my vehicle is not included in it. I took the vehicle to the dealership, and they confirmed the vehicle was stalling and would not accelerate and were able to reproduce the issue. They informed me the vehicle needed a new transmission, and the vehicle only has 99,000 miles. Hyundai and the dealership declined to add the vehicle to the recall campaign for stalling vehicles. I had to cover the cost of $3,000 for a new transmission. I picked the vehicle up on June 6,2025 with the new transmission installed and it is still stalling and won't accelerate past 45 miles per hour.Read more

After research it seems like this is a common issue in 2017-2019 Nissan Titan 5.0L diesel trucks which will cause the crankshaft to break if not fixed. When filling up the gas nozzle shut of and fuel will spill out. I have to listen for the fuel in the neck b4 it gets to top. It takes forever to fill.

On several occasions, between 15-25, one seatbelt (2nd row behind driver) unlatches randomly. We know it’s not because of the user. It will latch (and we know it’s latched because it clicks and there’s no seatbelt warning), but while driving it will unlatch for no apparent reason. A child sits in this position.

Automatic Idle Stop function causes car to stall in the middle of roadways. Idle is initiated when car comes to a complete stop at intersections, traffic lights, etc. Instead of rolling back on, engine stalls and brake seizes up, causing us to block traffic in the middle of roadways, intersections, traffic lights, etc. Car does not restart when power button is pushed. Only solution that has worked
... is to completely turn car off, open driver door and pretend to be ending trip by getting out, closing the door, walking away so car locks, waiting 30 seconds, then reapproaching the car and starting over from the beginning. This obviously causes major issues in the middle of roadways. On one occasion, no solutions worked, the brake pedal completely seized, and the battery had to be jumpstarted, despite the fact that it was a fairly new and undamaged battery. Driving down the highway in the pouring rain. Pulled over because the engine felt like it was about to stall. Whole engine cut off and check engine light came on with “engine stopped - power steering low”. Would act like it wanted to start again but shut back off every time. After about 30 minutes it started back up without any check engine lights or messages. This is the 3rd time its happene
