I was driving with FSD on [XXX] and had to intervene to take control when a bumper showed up on the road. When FSD was driving in standard mode, it was driving at 72 miles/ hr and was too close to the prior car. When the prior car quickly dodged the bumper my car was already too close to the bumper and needed to make a quick turn. The car almost rolled over. Dashcam video: [XXX] INFORMATION REDA

I have had multiple situations where the auto idle has engaged and the vehicle has died. Most of the time the car restarts by holding down the ignition button, but twice it's required a jump. My 2018 Cadillac XT5 has a serious water intrusion issue—water is leaking into the interior cabin through the sunroof or roof seams. This appears to be the result of a known manufacturer defect covered in GM’s Technical Service Bulletin TSB 19-NA-167. The leak has caused significant water accumulation on the floor, raising concerns about mold, electrical failure, and corrosion. I brought the
... vehicle to a Cadillac dealership, and they confirmed the issue. The total repair estimate is around $7,900. Cadillac offered partial goodwill coverage, but I am still being required to pay $3,400 plus tax out of pocket. I have authorized the repairs but am seeking reimbursement for the portion Cadillac is not covering, as this is not normal wear and tear—it is a clear defect in manufacturing that poses safety and health risks. GM should be fully covering this issue for affected vehicles.Read more

The backup camera constantly fails and malfunctions. When I put the car into reverse gear, the screen that's supposed to show the backup camera footage just displays "Camera is temporarily unavailable" on a black screen (see pictures I uploaded). It is not a one-time occurrence and happens repeatedly, especially when just starting the car. I looked online and many polestar 2 users have the same is

It is likely an infotainment system issue with the processor being too slow which seriously needs to be fixed. Yes, the car is available for inspection upon request. It clearly puts my safety and others at risk since I don't have backup camera visibility when backing up. This is especially dangerous when I try to back out in parking lots with pedestrians walking because I cannot see them without the backup camera. On [XXX] while driving approximately 1.5 hours away from home, a warning message appeared on my dashboard stating: “Hybrid System Warning. Stop and Do Not Drive.” I immediately pulled over and contacted my insurance company, who arranged for the vehicle to be towed to the nearest authorized Hyundai dealership (Thomas Hyundai in Cumberland). The warning clearly indicated that it was not safe to
... continue driving. Later, I found out that the issue reported (recall 198) have presented cases ending with fire of the engine. It is critical to mention that in January 2025, I attended the official manufacturer recall for this vehicle, which was supposed to ensure safety and reliability. Despite this, the vehicle failed and left me stranded in an unsafe area. Since then, I have been without my vehicle for over three weeks. I contacted Hyundai customer care and opened a case. I was repeatedly told a case manager would call me within three business days, but I never received any follow-up until I insisted. I was eventually assigned a case manager named Snowy, and also remained in contact with the dealership. On several occasions, both Snowy and the dealership assured me that the vehicle would be ready by Thursday, July 10 and that It was not until then that I could start to request a reimbursement for my rental expenses. I repeatedly asked for confirmation because I am renting a car at my own expense in order to go to work and manage my life. However, on Thursday, July 10, I called again and was told the vehicle would instead be ready by Tuesday, July 15. Then, on Friday, July 11, I received an email stating that the engine had just arrived, and that the dealership was only now able to begin repairs. After that, and only once the car is finished, Hyundai will “review” the case and determine whether I qualify for reimbursement. This is unacceptable. I have been without a vehicle for over three weeks, forced to rent a car entirely at my own expense. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA),Read more

I purchased it and within two months the cars breaks were slow to respond, or would lock up and the parking break did not work. Car stalls going up hill and at stoplights. I took it for diagnostics twice an
... d both places stated that the symptoms are mirroring the earlier recall problems. One said the spark plugs are ruined from some other issue. When I called the manufacturer they stated that it had previously been repaired on recall. I contacted the dealership where I purchased it and they told me the car was sold "as Is". The problems only got worse. The battery would go dead all of the time. I replaced it and still had the same problem. Windows wouldn't go up and down properly, sun roof would not open and close. Every time I used the blinker to turn right, the windshield wipers would turn on. Now they will not turn off at all. It also turned out that the tires had dry rot. When i went in for an oil change i was told that oil was back flowing into a part of the car that it shouldn't. Now I have to pay $300+ plus towing to have the dealership do a diagnostic so that I can ask the manufacturer to cover the cost of repairing it (again) because the first repairs done when the previous owner had it, did not work. The car is a death trap. At this point the car has been sitting until I can afford repairs because Ive been scared to death to drive it. Too many near misses, once with a semi, when the car shut down while doing almost 70mph. It should be illegal to sell this car to anyone new or used. I have an appointment at the Dodge/Chrysler dealership for repairs, but since it was supposedly "fixed" previously, i have very little faith that it can or will be properly repaired.Read more

Subject: Request for Review: 2017 Ford Flex Rear Suspension Toe Link Failure Outside Recall VIN Range To: NHTSA I am writing to formally request a review and consideration of my vehicle's eligibility for RECALL 20V072000 (Ford Recall 20S04), which addresses rear suspension toe link fractures on 2013-2018 Ford Flex models. My vehicle is a 2017 Ford Flex, and it recently experienced a failure
... of the right rear toe link, consistent with the failure mode described in the recall. However, after contacting my local Ford Dealership (Rowe Ford, Westbrook, ME) and the Ford Motor Company, I was informed that my VIN is not included in the recall coverage. I had the right rear toe link repaired and paid for it. I am concerned that the same issue could occur in my left rear toe link, so I am working to have that part preemptively replaced at my own expense. I believe that the exclusion of my vehicle by VIN may be inappropriate for the following reasons: 1. Model year and component match: My Flex falls well within the model years (2013-2018) covered by the recall, and the failed part is the exact component under scrutiny. 2. Failure occurred during normal driving conditions and almost caused an accident. 3. Ford's recall criteria appear overly narrow, possibly omitting vehicles that still contain defective parts, like my vehicle. I respectfully request that NHTSA review this matter and determine whether the VIN range for this recall should be expanded to include additional vehicles like mine that have experienced identical part failures with potential life threatening safety concerns. I have uploaded invoices from my local dealership repair facility. One invoice is for the work to replace the failed right rear toe link and the other is for preemptive replacement of the left rear toe link that I chose to commission on my own.Read more

I believe there should be a recall for the KNOWN chafing issues for the engine wire harness. I think they had to disconnect the battery or something to get the key out. I've been on several different forum pages trying to find the issue and I have seen it happen on relatively new vehicles as well. Lucky for them they are under warranty but dealers still giving them a hard time on this issue. I believe this poses a safety issue and there should be a recall on this. Besides that, no one should have a perfectly good vehicle and have to pay 4000-7000 dollars to replace a wire harness because of a manufacturer design defect which seems will eventually cause this issue though it had happened on newer models as well. the bulletin #specific to my vehicle is PIT5626D but there are other bulletins for other engines/modelsRead more
