When the sun is overhead (this happens daily in South Florida) the reflection of the ambient light on the instrument panel cover makes it impossible to look at the information on the instrument panel. This essentially makes one drive while being blind. Not a safe concept. It is pathetic that no action has been taken against the company.

Lane Keeping assistance and Lane Departure warning include components that allow the vehicle to steer itself. I have expressed my concern numerous times to Toyota. as an aside, on a second Toyota I owned, the hydrogen Mirai, I had similar concerns. and the dealer said it was the alignment and showed me a report stating that it was out of alignment and that they fixed the alignment. it did not resolve the problem, and I sold them the vehicle back at substantial loss to myself. I feel that I take my life in my own hands every time I get behind the wheel of the Land Cruiser, and I do not believe I can justify that risk anymore. No not with this vehicle. Allegedly Yes the vehicle has been inspected by the Manufacturer. It has certainly been to the dealership five to seven times since I bought it in March of 2025. I purchased a brand-new 2025 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road. From the first day, the steering wheel was off-center and the vehicle vibrated while driving. At around 500 miles, I noticed severe instability and abnormal tire wear. A wheel alignment report showed: Thrust angle: +0.15° (spec: 0° ± 0.05°) Rear toe: Left 0.23°, Right -0.10° (difference: 0.33°, spec ≤ 0.15°) Front caster: Both
... sides out of specification (shown in red on report) Driving symptoms include: Cannot maintain straight-line driving; requires constant steering correction. Excessive body roll during lane changes or turns. Continuous vibration of the vehicle and steering wheel on smooth roads. Vehicle bounces and momentarily loses control on uneven surfaces. Steering wheel rotation does not match front wheel steering angle. When stationary, turning the steering to full lock causes the body to rise; releasing it causes it to drop. Attempts to repair at Toyota of Manhattan (June 2025 – August 2025) were unsuccessful. The dealership repeatedly refused to perform proper inspections, provide reports, or acknowledge the defect, despite multiple appointments and a case opened with Toyota corporate. The defect presents a serious safety risk: reduced vehicle stability, increased stopping distance, loss of steering control during maneuvers, excessive and uneven tire wear, and abnormal fuel consumption (13.5 MPG with no load). The problem exists from new and has not been corrected.Read more

I recently purchased a 2023 Mazda CX9 with factory installed tires, Falken Ziex CT50 A/S p255/50R20 104V M+S. I was driving on the freeway on Tuesday [XXX] going around 65-70MPH. My tire pressure light came on all of a sudden, I started to slow down and make my way over to the right lane and then shoulder to check it out and all of a sudden the tire tread completely ripped away from the rest of th
... e tire. Some of the sidewalls stayed intact, which ultimately protected my wheel from damage. But other than the tire pressure light coming on 30 seconds before the failure, there was no warning, no obvious defect or anything in the tire. Had it been one of my front tires it potentially could have been way worse of an outcome as I was driving on a bridge and next to a semi. The shop where I ended up replacing all 4 tires because I did not feel safe using this brand any longer said he has never seen the tread just rip right off of the sidewalls. I searched the tire make and model and there was an open recall on this specific brand and size tire, but my date stamp did not match. However, it was the same exact reason for the recall in the first place. So clearly this company has not changed their manufacturing methods and is putting people's lives in danger with these tires spontaneously detaching from the wheel. awd hybrid vehicle makes a noise at speeds under 20mph , that sounds like an electric motor or bearing - salesman said the noise is a mandated law by nhtsa ? or ? month later the maintenance tech Forman took it for a test drive and said the same thing . that the noise was created (by a speaker ?) so the vehicle can be heard at low speeds / below 20 mph . i asked where the speaker is , he said he
... didn't know ! i asked if he could show me it on a diagnostics screen , he again refused . the noise sounds exactly like an electric motor . mg1 , mg2 ? i can't hear the noise when backing out of a driveway or similar low speed situations ? i need to verify if this is true - is there an actual law that the vehicle has to make a noise ? and it was okayed to use a noise that sounds like the hybrid electric motor or bearing ? even if this is true the computer logic should be changed so that the sound pulses so that it is obviously a speaker and not a mechanical issue . ( like no grease ) and it should always work when it is most needed , backing up and slow driving / all the time under 20 mph . service department should plug in a diagnostic scanner and prove to me that a speaker is making the noise . * why is this a safety issue ? because if they are lying , eventually ( when it is out of warranty ) this vehicle will break down . are ALL 2025 Toyota hybrids making some kind of noise ? and if it is a noise created by a speaker - Prove It are all 2025 Camrys making this same noise ? maybe they all have the same mechanical problem ? why wait till there is a crash , fire , or an accident ? as in the next section - Additional Details . and again if it is a legitimate noise generated for safety . at the least change the computer logic so it pulses and doesn't sound like a bad motor generator bearing . And have the maintenance techs trained to know where the speaker actually is . i don't want to share my personal information with toyota . if they are lyingRead more

I purchased this NEW BMW motorcycle on 7/26/2025. On my ride home from the dealership the safety incident occurred on the freeway trying to pass a semi with a trailer. All factory original equipment and only me on the motorcycle. While passing the semi the motorcycle started shaking out of control and I had to slow down to 40 mph in a 70 mph zone trying regain stability of the motorcycle. The d
... ealership was now closed when this occurred. There were no freeways located by the dealership to test this scenario prior to purchase. I posted what occurred on a k1600 forum that night about the problem. I received hundreds of replies saying replace the windshield but it was a common problem even after replacement. Sunday 7/27/2025 I ordered a windshield. When the dealership reopened on 7/29/2025 I called to see what BMW suggests to correct the problem. The dealership told me BMW had no fixes. I said then I would like to return the motorcycle if BMW does not have a fix. They told me they would not return it, but that I should try and replace the windshield with a Klock Werks or 7 Juress windshield and that should fix the problem. I installed the windshield and with no crosswinds was able to pass a semi trailer on the freeway without incident. I felt more confident and continued to ride with hesitance. Then I rode with crosswinds and other traffic and tried to pass the tractor trailer going 60 mph and it did it again. I removed the footboard and tour pack/top pack. After removal it is no longer life threatening to pass a semi in cross winds. My problem is that being a new bike with all the equipment from the factory that the motorcycle should be safe to ride in any road condition. As an experienced rider of 30 years my fear is that in rain should this occur a rider could loose control and have a wreck. BMW needs to fix this problem for rider safety and the safety of others on the American road. I would really like the manufacturer BMW to return this motorcycle.Read more

Kia replaced a recalled part on my vehicle related to the engine — specifically tied to the known piston oil ring defect. Before this recall repair, my vehicle was running ok with a couple time the car had completely shut off while Driving. This was back in 2023 and 2024 and was told to just add oil by the service dept. Immediately after the recall service was performed like drove it off the lot
... and place was already closed, the engine light came on and will not shut off, I also noticed a strange engine noise and the car leaches and can not go past 55mph. I advised the Kia dealership, and they informed me that it has nothing to do with the recall fix they did even though i did not have these issues before bringing it in and e to look it and said they would charge me over $100 to diagnose and then it would all be out of my pocket. The recall letter explicitly stated that if these symptoms were present — including excessive oil consumption or engine stalling which i have both and have been told in the past and documented to just keep adding oil in between oil changes — Kia would replace the engine at no cost to the customer. I even called kia and explained this to them to no avail and no help. Despite this, Kia is now refusing to uphold that promise and is not replacing the engine, even though the vehicle now displays all the symptoms outlined in their own recall documentation. This is both a serious safety concern and a failure by Kia to comply with recall obligations. The vehicle is unsafe to drive and could potentially cause a serious accident due to unexpected engine shutdowns at speed. I am requesting an immediate investigation into Kia’s handling of this recall and their failure to fulfill the engine replacement they promised in writing as part of the recall terms.Read more

Note that the fuel module part number has changed 3 times in my case, but Part # 3554821 replaces 5 other listed part numbers. Is this the 6th iteration or of this part? I have had multiple issues with my 2022 Ford Bronco Sport in the past 3 years and there have been multiple recalls. The ac failed at the 2 year mark and the rear brakes also started to make an odd noise intermittently when I would have the vehicle in reverse. I reported it and asked Ted Britt Ford in Fairfax, VA to check it twice (this is the dealership I purchased the vehicle from - I had them
... check it on 7/3/24 and 9/28/24 and have service records confirming) and they said they could find nothing wrong and there was no recall for it and there was nothing they could do (keeping in mind my vehicle was under warranty at that time). Fast forward to today, I go in for an oil change and mention the rear brakes are making noise again and ask if they can check it for me. They told me there is now a remedy for the issue, acknowledging there wasn't in the past. I mentioned at the time that I had reported and asked about it twice and why should I now have to pay for that when clearly this is a defect that should have been addressed by Ford when I initially reported it (keeping in mind that my vehicle is now out of warranty). Then they tell me I need to replace the front brake pads and brake fluid for a cost of over 1k and rear rotors and brake pads for 1200, but admitted the rear brake pads are not that bad and can wait. I do not ride my brakes and have no history of that in any vehicle I've ever owned, so I did some research and learn that this is an issue with the 2022 Ford Bronco Sport which seems to have MANY issues. Ford is not acknowledging any of the issues that this specific year/make/model has. I clearly alerted them to an issue a year ago and they claimed to have no solution but now they magically do once it's out of warranty? Clearly having defective brakes is a safety issue, not to mention the fuel injector issue that is under recall - apparently Ford doesn't have the part for that either. Please issue a recall for the defective brake pads and rotors.Read more

I am the original owner of a brand new 2024 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro, and this issue began within the first 15,000 miles of regular dealer-maintained use. At approximately 14,800 miles, I noticed unusual and rapid outer shoulder wear on all four OEM Falken Wildpeak A/T3W 285/65R18 tires. A professional alignment inspection performed by Toyota Carlsbad dealership confirmed that the factory-set front
... toe angle was significantly out of Toyota’s specification (left front toe: +0.30°, right front: +0.10°, total front toe: +0.39°). This incorrect alignment was present from the factory and caused tire damage before any corrections were made. These settings match exactly what is described in Toyota Limited Service Campaign 24TD01, which applies to 2022–2023 Tundra models. However, my 2024 vehicle is not included, even though the defect and symptoms are identical. The alignment defect was confirmed and corrected by the dealership, but Toyota refused to replace the damaged tires, stating it is not a warrantable condition. However, this wear was directly caused by the misalignment on a new, factory-spec vehicle, maintained per Toyota guidelines. This condition presents a clear safety risk, as premature outer tire wear significantly reduces traction, affects handling, and increases stopping distance—especially in wet or emergency conditions. There were no warning lights or messages, making the condition undetectable until visible tire damage occurred. I filed a formal complaint with Toyota USA, but they declined further assistance. I respectfully request that NHTSA investigate whether Toyota should expand Campaign 24TD01 to include 2024 models with the same alignment-related defect. The tires are available for inspection. I have supporting documentation including alignment reports, photos of tire wear, and communications with Toyota regarding this case #.Read more

Dear NHTSA, I'm reporting a recurring safety issue with my vehicle's door latches. All four doors have, at different times, become completely stuck—unable to open from inside or outside. This creates a serious risk, especially in emergencies where quick exit is critical.

We took our honda pilot to our local dealership (Nelson Honda 2500 Greensboro Rd Martinsville Va. 24112) for a recall on the fuel pump motor on 4/16/2025. We noticed when driving the vehicle that it had some hesitation when going up hills. The problem persisted so we finally made an appointment to have it rechecked on 7/30/2025. They advised nothing wrong recommended transmission fluid changed.
... We went to our local repair shop and had them to look at it and much to our surprise the fuel pump had not been touched. We have pictures and you can tell it hasn't been touch in a long while. When we called the dealership they told us that it was completed and that we should not file a compliant because they are a small dealership. I know that I'm one person but this car is my main transportation and I should be able to trust that when a recall is done that they actually do the work. Any help or assistance that you can give would be greatly appreciated.Read more

While driving my 2022 Toyota Highlander (VIN: [XXX] , 29,427 miles), I have experienced multiple recurring safety defects that Toyota has been unable or unwilling to repair under warranty. •Front collision sensors frequently trigger without any object present, creating a risk of unexpected emergency braking at freeway speeds. •Transmission hesitates and surges unpredictably, sometimes propelli
... ng the vehicle into traffic. •In heavy rain, my windshield wipers activated on their own and multiple system failure warnings appeared (including ABS failure), nearly causing a crash. •Persistent startability issue when fuel is below half a tank. •Seatbelt malfunction caused a passenger to strike their head. •Seat heater failure, seat separation, persistent coolant odor, and nonfunctional factory wireless charger since purchase. These defects are intermittent but recurring, and their unpredictability increases the danger. Toyota and the dealer have failed to duplicate the issues during short test drives, but they continue to occur during normal operation. This vehicle remains under factory and extended warranty, yet repairs have been denied. I believe these defects pose a serious risk to myself, my passengers, and others on the road. In April 2025, my 2016 Hyundai Sonata 2.4L began making a knocking noise while driving. There were no warning lights or error messages on the dashboard, so I was confused about what was wrong and assumed it might be a minor issue related to the axle, which I had repaired in the past. I brought it to a local mechanic, who informed me the engine noise was concerning and mentioned this model was know
... n to have engine-related recalls. Upon researching, I discovered my vehicle had an outstanding recall for the exact issue (connecting rod bearing wear leading to potential engine seizure), but it had expired due to the age of the vehicle. The car was brought into the dealership on April 30, 2025, and has remained there ever since with a completely failed engine. I was told by Hyundai corporate that they would not offer goodwill assistance due to the recall technically expiring. However, I never received any notification about this recall and had no idea it existed. The engine failure has left me without a vehicle for over three months. I cannot afford the $10,000 replacement cost quoted to me. My Sonata only has approximately 145,000 miles, and this engine failure puts my safety and financial situation at risk. I believe this is directly connected to the original recall defect and should have been addressed regardless of the expiration date, especially since the failure occurred from the same root cause. It has been inspected by the Jacksonville Key Hyundai dealership (where it is located now) as well as two other local auto shops.Read more
