The car was purchased new from the Nissan dealer at the end of Dec 2024 with 100miles, and currently has 5,798 miles on the odometer. The 12v battery failed, unable to be charged and hold a charge, this disabled the the EV from starting and functioning. The tow truck driver had to use a battery booster/charger to provide enough power to enable the control panel to be accessed, but not start the EV

I am filing this urgent complaint regarding a life-threatening defect in my 2022 Toyota RAV4 SUV that gravely endangers my family and the public. This is a desperate plea for intervention. For over a year, my vehicle has repeatedly displayed a terrifying, unreadable red alert and piercing buzzer, occurring 3-4 times without warning and not real collision threat. These incidents are terrifying pre
... cursors to catastrophic failure. The Toyota dealership dismissed my concerns, stating they "cannot do anything" without replicating the intermittent problem. This dangerous negligence compounds my frustration, especially after prior unaddressed issues like radio malfunctions and door water infiltration. Crucially, the dealer's own CAR DTC logs confirmed C14FE14: "steering angle sensor supply voltage circuit short to ground or open." This documented electrical failure directly impacts the steering system. Toyota's own webpage [XXX] ) also details similar warnings, confirming my fear of brake system activation. My paramount fear is a false Pre-Collision System activation. Imagine driving at high speed when the brakes violently engage or steering falters due to this electrical short. The unthinkable consequences could be a devastating collision, causing severe injury or death to my family and others. This is a documented defect, met with manufacturer and dealer refusal to act. I cannot feel secure driving this car, nor can I responsibly sell this ticking time bomb to another family. I implore the NHTSA to launch an immediate, comprehensive investigation into this critical safety defect. This is a public safety matter demanding urgent attention. Force Toyota to rectify this profound flaw before lives are lost. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

*The AEB light comes on saying Limited Functionality Service required. We have Taken it to the dealer and they service department said no codes for that problem showed up and said if it did it again pull into any dealership and have them check it. It happens constantly so it happened right when in front of one of their dealership so we pulled in and they checked again and it did come up showing an

So I did just that and had a photo book, the size of a wedding album showing how it went off sometimes every two hours. *Then the lane depart doesn't work, it will not vibrate, which we have all the settings on and set to the highest setting. *The warning for cross traffic when in reverse doesn't always work sometimes it won't even go off when someone walks close to the back of vehicle. * On just a few occasion the rear door will not close when button is pushed, we have to physically close it. *Sometimes it will continually slam on the breaks when we try to back out of our garage, taken several times of me putting in park and trying again. *Also sometimes when backing out it won't drive when I put in drive, I have to put in park, then move it to drive. *It is currently in the dealership, they have had it for 4 days and cannot figure it out but acknowledge it is happening.Read more

I brought my 2014 Honda Accord to an authorized Honda dealership to have the CV axle recall completed. The contact owns a 2020 Ford Expedition. The contact stated that while driving at 45 MPH, there was a loud pop, and smelled a burning odor inside the cabin of the vehicle, and the contact’s child cried out in pain, prompting the contact to pull over to the shoulder of the roadway. Upon inspection, the contact observed that the front passenger’s side seat belt had tightened excessively and lock

The vehicle was not repaired due to the recall being a "Advance Notice Recall" which was not yet an official recall, and the contact would have to pay out of pocket for the repairs. After investigating the failure, the contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V197000 (Seat Belts). The VIN was included, but parts were not yet available. Around the 38,000 mile mark on our 2020 Ford Escape we received many different errors (AWD Fault, ABS, AdvanceTrac Service, Hill assist, etc). I declined the $1200 repair
... at the dealership so I could first call Ford Customer Service, at the recommendation of the dealership, though the Service Tech did mention it is a safety concern because the ABS is apparently also controlled by the AWD. After a couple different calls to Ford, they have refused to acknowledge that it is a manufacturer defect, or pay for the repair. With no help from Ford, I have no other option than to file a complaint here. Based on other resources online, the issue seems to stem from improper grounding of the wiring on the AWD module.Read more

At this time, people in vehicles in the the left lane began beeping their horn and pointing at me and the motorcycle. As I looked down I saw flames shooting up my left ankle and leg and rising up und

A truck driver passing by gave me a fire extinguisher and I was able to put the fire out without any injuries. The fire went up under the seat and under the front cowling into the instrument panel. I had it towed to Maddie's Motor Sports on [XXX] in the Town of Spencerport, NY. They contacted Bombardier Recreational Products. Inc (BRP) who asked for photos from Maddie's as well as an accident/incident report to be completed by me. I did so and turned it in to Maddie's on August 5th. Shortly thereafter, the BRP representative - Bruno Bilodeau made a decision that it was an insurance issue and not a warranty issue despite the fact that he never physically inspected the motorcycle. This motorcycle had approximately 5100 miles on it at the time of the fire and was still under the manufacture's warranty (until July 2026). In addition I purchased multiple Extended Warranties to cover the motorcycle through the majority of the length of the loan. Calls and e-mails to BRP have gone unanswered. It is my position that BRP owes me a new motorcycle or they can fix mine. Mr. Bilodeau said the fire was caused by the filler cap not being secure and he could tell by a photo that was sent to him by Maddie's because he could see where fuel ran down the side of the gas tank. He's wrong - I made sure the cap was secure after fill up - it clicks when secure and I double check. In 2017, my vehicle was part of a Honda recall for the battery sensor. I had the recall service completed at Colerain Honda in Cincinnati, OH. Honda marked recall repair as completed in 2017, but the same defect has been ongoing since 2021 through today. I have had to replace multiple alternators and batteries, believing the recall repair (battery sensor issue) was properly resolved, but the issue
... persists. This raises concern that the recall work was either not done correctly or not done at all. The dealership has refused to provide records or assistance, leaving me to cover repair costs throughout the years. This is a safety and reliability concern that remains unresolved. When I contacted the dealership, they were unable or unwilling to provide documentation of the actual recall repair outside of "it's been completed, we can't see back that far", leaving me uncertain whether the work was properly performed and how they did it. I was also treated rudely and dismissed when requesting answers or proof. This raises a potential safety risk: If the recall repair was never done, my vehicle is still at risk of electrical fire or failure. If the repair was improperly performed, it could leave me and other drivers in danger. I am requesting NHTSA investigate whether Honda and Colerain Honda fulfilled their recall obligations in this case.Read more

The front traction motor on my 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning failed without warning, causing the vehicle to lose all-wheel drive capability. The failure occurred with no warning lamps, messages, or prior symptoms on the dashb

The component/system is still available for inspection. At this time, the issue has NOT been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer, and the vehicle has NOT yet been inspected by the manufacturer or any other party. Cause of failure is UNKNOWN. What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? We did researc
... h online and there were 33 other complaints from people with similar complaints. They reported that it was a master cylinder part and the dealers don’t have the part in stock. It could take up to two weeks for the part. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? My safety and my husband’s safety were at risk because we had to drive the car home. Our lives were at risk if the brakes failed. We took it to Key Motors a Chevy dealership in S. Burlington, VT. He said they would have to diagnose it themselves and the part could take two weeks or more. We cut our vacation short and could not stay in VT that long. We are elderly and did not have enough medicine, not to mention the cost of hotels. The VT dealer said without the computer, the car defaults to the driver like a 1980’s car. We took our chances and drove it home. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? No, but many people online have complained of the same problem. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? We had it towed to our local dealership, Bob Johnson Chevrolet. They just sent us a bill for $214 for certified multi point vehicle inspection. I still don’t know what problem. Onstar diagnosed it as ABS braking and stability diagnostic code; an issue has been detected in the Antilock Braking System. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? No other warnings or symptoms before messages appeared.Read more

I did recieve a recall letter (unfortunately I threw it away) but now it shows no recalls (strange). This black screen issue has been a problem since day 1 but now it has resul
... ted in a collision. I have been unable to even back my car out of the garage when raining due to the sensitivity of the collision detect so there is NO excuse that it didn't alert. Cadillac has had the car since the accident and claim nothing is wrong with it and they are not responsible. I do not believe that. I have met with dealership GM who is looking into this further. I wanted to bring to the NTSB as this is 100% a safety concern. Thank God there wasn't a child on a bike or a baby in a stroller behind us. This didn't result in any human harm but the vehicle sustained damage that I believe was the direct result of malfunctioning technology on the car to prevent it.Read more
