I am the owner of a 2024 GMC Yukon (VIN: [XXX] ), purchased from Hatchett Buick GMC on [XXX]. This vehicle was purchased at a high price with the expectation that it would provide reliability and keep my family safe. Unfortunately, that is clearly not happening. The Yukon continues to suffer from severe power loss that neither the dealership nor GM technicians have been able to diagnose or repair
... . In addition, this vehicle is subject to an unresolved engine recall, further undermining safety and confidence in the vehicle. Multiple times while driving I have had total power loss with no warning or indicators of this happening through lights or warnings on the vehicle. This is separate from the engine recall issues I am currently experiencing as well. While driving the Yukon will lose all electrical power. The vehicle is still currently at the dealership trying to be diagnosed. It has been 2 weeks. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

On August 3, 2025, the vehicle developed a loud humming noise. After an inspection on August 12, Heritage Toyota informed me that the transmission had failed and would require replacement at an estimated cost of $9,000. This failure occurred only days past the five-year warranty and just 8,834 miles beyond the 60,000-mile powertrain limit. I immediately contacted Toyota’s Brand Engagement Center
... (Case #250814000192). Despite speaking with multiple representatives over several weeks, my inquiries were repeatedly delayed, escalated, or dismissed. At one point, I was even informed that further follow-up on my case would be deleted through Toyota Website. Ultimately, I was offered 50% coverage of the transmission replacement. While I appreciate this offer, it does not fully address the seriousness of a transmission failure occurring under such circumstances. I also contacted Heritage Toyota directly to request assistance, but my calls to the service manager went unanswered, and the dealership declined to provide any additional support. I believe this situation raises concerns about both product quality and customer care. A transmission should not fail in under five years with fewer than 70,000 miles, especially on a well-maintained vehicle serviced exclusively by Toyota. I respectfully request that Toyota be held accountable for this failure and that further review be conducted to determine whether this issue represents a larger pattern of premature transmission failures in Highlanders.Read more

On [XXX] in Rehoboth, DE, my 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe experienced a sudden and complete power failure while reversing out of a parking spot. All electrical systems shut down—including propulsion, dashboard lights, and emergency brake—causing the vehicle to roll backward into oncoming traffic. No warning lights appeared beforehand. After about an hour, power returned on its own. A passing police o
... fficer witnessed the situation and a report was filed with the Rehoboth Beach Police Department. On September 6th, Hyundai service performed a diagnostic scan of the engine and transmission systems. No fault codes were found, and the issue could not be replicated. After sitting overnight, the vehicle restarted normally and passed a road test. The dealership documented the incident but returned the vehicle without repair, stating: “Cannot duplicate concern at this time.” I was advised to tow the vehicle in if the issue recurs and, if rolling occurs again, to use a wheel chock. I purchased this vehicle new in 2023. It has only 40,000 miles and is covered under a 10-year bumper-to-bumper warranty. A failure of this magnitude—especially during a basic maneuver like reversing—poses a serious safety risk. Despite the dealership’s inability to replicate the issue, I do not feel safe operating the vehicle until the root cause is identified and resolved. I am currently in the process of escalating to Hyundai corporate for further investigation, including a buyback review, replacement evaluation, or extended diagnostic protocol. ... e experienced with my 2018 Mazda CX-9. After a recent inspection conducted by Mazda Koch 33, it was brought to my attention that the engine wiring harness is defective and may potentially cause a fire or result in burns, posing a severe safety risk to me, my passengers, and others on the road. This issue is deeply concerning and unacceptable, especially considering Mazda’s reputation for reliability and safety. A fault in the engine wiring harness, particularly one that has the potential to ignite or burn, should be treated with the utmost urgency. It is troubling that such a critical component could present such danger. My vehicle has been serviced and maintained regularly, and I was not made aware of any recall or technical service bulletin that addressed this defect until the inspection. Given the nature of the defect, I believe this may be a manufacturer defect, and I request that Mazda: Immediately investigate and confirm whether this issue falls under an existing recall or known defect. Take full responsibility for replacing or repairing the affected wiring harness at no cost to me. Provide assurances in writing that my vehicle is safe to operate. Offer compensation or a loaner vehicle if the repair process renders my vehicle unusable for any period of time. Please consider this a formal request for immediate corrective action. I expect a prompt response within 10 business days of the date of this letter. If I do not receive a satisfactory resolution, I will be compelled to escalate this matter further through consumer protection agencies, such as the INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATIRead more

This vehicle has had multiple recalls. Anytime that I call in to get serviced. I receive one of these responses from their service department: they can’t replicate the issue, if the lights that came on are no longer on they cannot tell what the problem was, or they fixed it. The vehicle jerks or hesitates to shift into gear when I get near 35 mph. It is forceful and loud. Somewhat like initial jerk pulling off from a roller coaster. My safety and the safety of my children have been at risk because slow moving vehicles are a hinderance to the flow of traffic. I have almost been rear-ended several times as the speed limit has increased in an area and I can't increase m
... y speed as quickly as others behind me. Also, the delayed acceleration with the force of the jerk causes me to move forward too fast. This seems to be a transmission problem that all of the dealers in the area try to ignore. They claim they cannot reproduce the error but it happens each time I drive it. The vehicle has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, nor insurance representatives as I have not YET had an accident from this safety issue. There were no warning signs when the issue first appeared. I first noticed it the day after purchasing it from Westgate Chrysler Jeep Dodge RAM, 6421 Old Westgate Rd, Raleigh, NC 27617. I reported the issue to them within days of noticing and brought the vehicle in several times for troubleshooting. I have since switched servicing over to Crossroads Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Henderson. They recognized that my batteries were both dying and replaced both of those. That never stopped the jerking/hesitating, it just made it less intense. I brought it into that dealership as well for this issue several times and they cannot reproduce the issue either. I have searched online for solutions and on a Pacifica forum online, many other owners note this issue with low mileage on their vehicle. This is indeed a manufacturer issue that it seems the manufacturer wants to cover up and dealers have no solution for it because of this.Read more

1. My vehicle had a hybrid warnings and stopped running altogether, but the issue went away after clearing the codes. It came back at 105000mi, Toyota won't help with the $6000 repair. The vehicle
... could suddenly shut off at highway speeds per Matt with Service at Autofair Toyota Tewksbury. Sudden stoppage or deceleration may result in fatal collisions at speed. This failure also leads to fatally high-voltage energizing of the chassis and other frame components in some cases. 3. This is a known design flaw on Toyota hybrid, high-voltage cables/connectors, leading to excessive corrosion and dangerous failure of the hybrid system. There is an extended Toyota customer support program (CSP: 22TE09) valid through 8 years or 100000mi. I purchased the vehicle at 92,000mi but the dealership (CarFive Nashua, NH) and Toyota failed to inform me of this issue (a standard procedure per the CSP) so I could make an informed decision and perform preventative maintenance. Toyota did send me notice of an airbag recall after purchase, so I know they had my information. Now they have left me without options at 105000mi. 4. Yes. Summary of the Problem: My 2018 Hyundai Sonata has a serious engine defect related to excessive oil consumption. Despite proper maintenance, the vehicle consumes large amounts of oil between service intervals. This has caused the engine to seize and the car’s software to restrict speed to 40 mph while driving, creating a dangerous situation on public roads. Details: Vehicle purchased from an a
... uthorized Hyundai dealer in Massachusetts (second owner). Issue first identified around 65,000 miles. Inspected multiple times at Stevens Creek Hyundai (San Jose, CA). Service center confirmed this is a known internal engine issue but refused to replace or repair unless the engine completely fails. I was told to “keep topping up oil,” which is not a safe or permanent solution. Safety Concern: Sudden engine seizure or restricted speed while driving could result in an accident, especially on highways. This defect places me and my family at serious risk of injury or death. Requested Action: I urge NHTSA to investigate Hyundai’s handling of this engine defect and require Hyundai to repair or replace affected engines before they fail, regardless of ownership status. Consumers should not have to wait for catastrophic engine failure to receive assistance.Read more
