Condensation has appeared in the driver side headlight. It has caused the headlight and blinker to stop working. In addition, several warning lights have appeared on the dash indicating the following operations are no longer working.... Driver Attention Warning System, Forward Safety System, Lane Change Assist system, Lane Departure Warning System and High Beam Assist. While the driving assist sys

Certainly, the car would not pass a safety inspection in the state of Virginia and, as a result, I would not be able to register the vehicle. Genesis has known of the headlight condensation problem for years and has issued several TSB's, yet they continue to build cars with a known safety issue. In my opinion, a safety recall should be implemented and Genesis should be required to repair the problem at their expense.Read more

Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding a serious and ongoing issue with my 2024 Toyota Sienna XLE AWD, purchased in April 2024 in Illinois. From the very first day, the trunk door has not functioned properly — often failing to close, randomly opening, or requiring manual force to shut. Despite repeated service visits across multiple states (IL, SC, NC) and investi
... ng considerable time, fuel, and lost income as a contractor, this issue persisted for over 18 months, creating safety concerns and inconvenience for me and my family. Key Issues: Trunk door opens on its own – even while reversing, creating serious safety risks. Malfunctioning power close mechanism, requiring manual closure frequently. Unreliable performance: door would close, then immediately re-open. Visited Toyota service centers at least 6 times across 3 states. Each visit took 2–3 hours, costing me work hours as a contractor. Customer service experience has been poor, especially with manager Patte, who: Failed to schedule proper service appointments. Directed me without coordination. Refused to escalate my request or connect me to her manager. Dismissed my request for compensation by saying, “It’s your issue.” Please help me on this issue. Thanks in advance.Read more

My daughter was driving her 2011 Hyundai Sonata on the freeway at 65mph when the engine light came on and car simultaneously slowed to a stop on 8/21/25 creating significant danger to my daughter and other drivers on the road. My 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid has experienced repeated, dangerously abrupt power loss while driving at highway speeds, causing the vehicle to go into "limp mode" without any warning or prior indication. This safety hazard occurred on three separate occasions: First Incident: 7/29/25; Mileage: 9,205. Situation: While traveling at 70 MPH on the interstate, the vehicle suddenly decelerated to 35 MP
... H and entered "limp mode" without any warning lights or notifications. Dealer Repair: Replaced ignition coil assembly (Parts: 27301R1H, 27301-2M417). Second Incident: 8/27/25; Mileage: 12,898 Situation: While accelerating to 65 MPH on the interstate, the same loss of power and abrupt forced deceleration occurred, again with no warning. This sudden loss of speed created a serious safety hazard for me and other drivers. Dealer Repair: Replaced fuel pump & O Ring Assy-High Pressure (Parts: 35326-2M500, 35305-2m414 LH). Third Incident: 9/25/25; Mileage: 14,830. Situation: Traveling at 70 MPH on the interstate, the car abruptly decelerated, again entering limp mode. This caused surrounding vehicles to swerve to avoid rear-ending me, putting myself and others at risk. Dealer Repair: Replaced High Pressure Sensor (3534202M400), Packing Fuel Pump (31115-0W000), and Fuel Pump and Tube Assy (31119-L1400). In all three cases, there was never any warning light, check engine notification, or app alert before the incident. Hyundai and my dealership confirmed and replicated the issue during each repair. I have reported the vehicle to the Texas DMV, Hyundai and the dealer. These recurring “limp mode” incidents have repeatedly jeopardized my safety, my family’s safety, and the safety of the public due to the sudden, unanticipated loss of power at high speeds. Since the underlying issue persists and has required three separate major repairs, I am fearful for my safety while operating this vehicle and believe it constitutes a serious safety defect needing federal investigation.Read more

When slowly finishing my entry into a parking spot and braking the car suddenly accelerated to a high speed and bolted over the curb with a planter zone into another parked car directly facing my parking lane hitting the front passenger side. As far as I can tell the brake and or accelerator malfunctioned dangerously and suddenly. It could also have been a malfunctioning TPS (throttle positioning sensor). I would like my car inspected to determine what caused this malfunction. While everyone involved said they felt fine. One person, in the first car hit, was sitting in the driver seat, luckily no one was in the front passenger seat. That driver said she was ok. The second car was unoccupied. This dangerous incident had no warnings or symptoms prior to the accident. My online research shows that there was a recall that included my make and year for sticky pedal, floormat, and deformed accelerator cable housing. These can cause unintended acceleration or unresponsive pedal. According to the Toyota website my VIN has no outstanding recalls though. I would like my car checked out because any recall repair, if done, may not have been done thoroughly enough to prevent the collision I experienced on September 28, 2025, some 15 years or so after the 2010 recall.Read more

I purchased a 2019 Ford Expedition Max from Rivertown Ford – Group 1 Automotive (Columbus, GA) in 2022. During the test drive, I heard a rattling noise at startup and was told by my salesperson, Derrick, that it was just a “cold start.” I was shown a CarFax report claiming no recalls or major repairs. I later discovered this was false. An internal Ford OASIS report revealed that transmission
... work had been performed before sale, which Rivertown Ford never disclosed or reported to CarFax. Since purchase, my Expedition has had harsh shifting, delayed gear engagement, jerking, and sudden loss of acceleration, often without diagnostic codes—making it difficult to obtain warranty repairs under my Ford ESP plan. Rivertown Ford told me the transmission backlog meant I’d have to pay for my own rental vehicle and wait indefinitely for a technician. In March 2024, the vehicle shifted into neutral instead of drive while backing out of a driveway, rolling down uncontrollably and hitting two trees. Neither USAA (my insurer) nor Ford acknowledged that this incident matched the 10R80 transmission defect and TSB 23-2249 (Nov 2023), which addresses uncommanded neutral engagement and loss of power. I was never notified of this defect. My insurance labeled it an “at-fault” accident, raising my premiums drastically. My Expedition is now being serviced for TSB 23-2249 after new video evidence and stored code P07E06-00 confirmed the defect. Ford’s OASIS system—which hides warranty and powertrain repairs from the public—enabled this concealment. This issue has caused financial loss, emotional distress, and fear of driving, especially as this is our only family vehicle for transporting our children. I have video, audio, photos, and documentation proving these events and request NHTSA’s investigation into Ford’s 10R80 transmission defects and disclosure practices.Read more

Front Bumper Fitment Issue: The front bumper clips fail to secure the bumper properly, causing a noticeable gap between the bumper and the body, particularly around the headlight and fender. Despite visiting my local dealer today (10-11-2025), they have confirmed that this is a known issue, but no permanent solution has been provided. The bumper misalignment negatively impacts the aesthetic qualit
... y and structural integrity of the vehicle. This problem has been reported by multiple 2025 Camry owners and persists even after the bumper is replaced. It is evident upon delivery and has not been fixed by Toyota or the dealership to date. Rear Seatbelt Warning Malfunction: I experienced a malfunction with the rear seatbelt warning system. The warning alert activated while the vehicle is in motion, falsely indicating that an unbuckled passenger is in the backseat, even when the rear seats are empty. At my dealership visit in August, I was told that this was a normal characteristic of the vehicle, triggered when rear doors are opened or closed without the seatbelt being clicked in. However, this explanation does not account for the behavior I am experiencing, where the warning is erroneously triggered while the vehicle is moving. This malfunction undermines the reliability of Toyota's safety systems, and I request that Toyota investigate it thoroughly. I would also appreciate guidance on how to disable or adjust the rear seatbelt reminder in the meantime, if that is a viable solution.Read more

... ms that didn’t exist. These interventions often happen on highways or during turns, creating serious safety risks for both driver and passengers. I’ve spent months and thousands of dollars replacing parts, performing alignments, and recalibrating sensors, including at Toyota dealerships. The problem persists because it is software-based, not mechanical. I discovered that in mid–2023, the NHTSA announced upcoming rules requiring Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) with pedestrian detection by 2029. Around that same time, reports from multiple drivers (Toyota, Honda, Hyundai, Ford, Subaru) began to appear describing the exact same issues. It seems manufacturers began silently updating vehicles to meet anticipated compliance standards. However, this introduced overly sensitive and malfunctioning driver-assist systems. The most alarming part is that the driver cannot fully disable these features — the “off” button only reduces their intervention. This means when the system malfunctions, the driver is forced to operate an unsafe vehicle. As a professional rideshare driver, this problem destroyed my ability to work. Passengers reported me for unsafe driving because of the car’s erratic behavior. I eventually lost my vehicle and income. I believe this is a systemic safety defect linked to premature or unregulated implementation of AEB software. Drivers deserve the right to fully disable malfunctioning systems that endanger lives. This is not just a car issue — it’s a public safety crisis that must be urgently investigated.Read more

The following is a list of persistent electrical failures in my vehicle, several of which present a significant safety risk. I have attempted to resolve the issues: •Emergency OnStar Button Failure: My vehicle's emergency OnStar buttons consistently fail to function when the ignition is off. This is a critical safety defect, as the system is designed to work on a backup battery during an emerge
