WE RECEIVED A LETTER FROM CUMMINS DATED JULY 28 2016 STRONGLY ENCOURAGING CUMMINS COMPLIMENTARY INSTALLATION OF FUEL SUPPLY LINE ISOLATORS ON #1 AND #6 FUEL INJECTORS. CUMMINS IS NOW SAYING THAT WE DIDN'T ACT ON THE OFFER QUICKLY ENOUGH AND THEY'VE RETRACTED THEIR OFFER TO INSTALL THE FUEL SUPPLY LINE ISOLATORS

TIFFIN RECALLED SOME 2008 ALLEGRO BAY MOTOR HOMES, BUT OURS WAS NOT ON THE LIST. WE HAD AN ISSUE WITH THE BRAKE CALIPERS FAILING IN JULY OF 2015. THIS WAS THE ISSUE OF THE RECALL. WE MADE A QUICK STOP TO AVOID A VEHICLE AND THEN THE BRAKES BEGAN TO DRAG. PULLED OVER, BRAKES WERE OVERHEATED SO WE BEGAN TO SEARCH FOR REPAIR FACILITY. WE WERE TRAVELING IN THE SOUTH PASS OF BIG HORN NATIONAL PARK. THE GRADES WERE LONG AND STEEP. A PERSON PASSED US AND PULLED OVER AND STOPED US AND SAID WE WERE ON FIRE. THE COACH FILLED WITH SMOKE ND I GOT OUT AND FOUND THAT THE AREA ABOVE THE EXAUST PIPE HAD MELTED DOWN ON TO THE PIPE CATCHING ON FIRE AND BURNING UP EVERYTHING IN THE COMPARTMENT CAUSEING $3000.00 OF DAMAGE. THEN PROCEEDED TO CALL CUMMINGS 1-800-343-7357 AND WAS TOLD TO TAKE IT TO THE "LOCAL" DEALER. SINCE THAT IS WHERE THE MOTOR HOME ORIGINALLY, THEY REFUSED TO WORK ON IT, WORK HAD BEEN COMPLETED ELSEWHERE THEN WHO INSIDE CUMMINGS DID I TALK TOO? AT THAT POINT HE TOLD ME HE COULDN'T HELP ME AND WOULD NOT TRANSFER ME HIS BOSS. I TOLD THEM I FELT THIS POSES A RISK TO MY WIFE AND I. THEY SAID THEY UNDERSTOOD, SO JUST TAKE IT DOWN AND REPLACE IT WITH A PICTURE. WHEN I ASKED HOW TO REPORT THIS SAFETY ISSUE SO OTHERS AREN'T AT RISK HE SAID THEY DON'T HAVE A MEANS TO DO THAT! HE ALSO STATED AFTER DRIVING DOWN THE ROUGH ROADS THAT IT'S NOT UNUSUAL FOR THINGS TO FALL OFF THE WALLS!!
