... ic shop and the code C0020-01 came up (no parts only Chrysler can replace hmm that’s a problem why?)we then phoned Chrysler in Parksville and took it in and they showed same code and said needed to order part only one was in Red Deer Alberta. This is obviously an issue with this truck as there is a class action suit alleging FCA breached its warranty by using ABS and HCU modules of subpar quality known to be unfit for ordinary purpose and not disclosing this issue to customers at the time of purchase. These modules are prone to premature failure due to defective materials used in their manufacture. The lawsuit states FCA knew about the defect thru extensive pre-sale testing and numerous NHTSA complaints, there is a Technical Service Bulletin regarding the faulty ABS and HCU, despite issuing the TSB, FCA failed to issue a recall. The hearing is scheduled for December 17, 2024. We would like all costs associated with the replacement of this module paid for by Chrysler Canada. This specific component has been recalled by Jaguar Land Rover in both the United Kingdom and Canada for defective parts susceptible to failing. The recall is specifically for MY 15 and 16 Range Rovers. I suspect that this issue may be more prevalent than the VINs covered. The vehicle has been inspected at the dealership and they have not noted that failure modality. There were no other symptoms, faults or warning messages. This vehicle has 36,000 miles and just had the transmission replaced under the "Recall for hybrid transmission systems" This is the second time this has happened, it originally occurred at 7000 miles and after the dealer had it for a week we were told there was no problem. The dealer had to pull a bunch of fuses and the 12v battery to get the vehicle to stop turning off and on, the same thing happened this time when it was dragged off the flatbed at the dealer.Read more

We removed as much of the loose glass and proceeded on our way holding the sunroof door tightly so it wouldn’t come open and rain any glass down on us. We took it to the dealer that we purchased the vehicle from two weeks before to inspect and repair, there were no warning lights or indications of the issue. We never saw any debris, there were no vehicles in front of us and only a motorcycle and one other vehicle pass in the oncoming lanes few seconds before the loud boom. I later determined the brake controller on truck didn’t provide the 12 volts needed to get maximum braking from the fifth wheel brakes. I took it to the dealer and they confirmed that at slower speeds it doesn’t give maximum voltage. They contacted Ram eng

I contacted Cargo Brake ( manufacturer of trailer brake system) and they told me they have had many complaints from Ram owners about this problem. They recommended that I purchase an aftermarket controller which I did. It gives me maximum voltage for full braking from the fifth wheel at any speed. I should also state that my truck was new with only 2500 miles on it. I was not informed by the dealer or able to gain knowledge of this controller design anywhere in the Ram information provided in the owners manual. This is an extremely hazardous design not permitting maximum braking at slower speeds.Read more

I also had one a chip repaired. This means I have replaced the windshield every 7427. miles. Once the crack has started the lane sensing and brake stopping programs are halted. This is a serious safety issue.
... This is BEYOND RIDICULOUS for a NEW MODEL car. There much be something wrong with the making of these windshields, or the material used to make these windshields. This is a costly repair, being that the windshield needs re-calibrating each time. It's been around $2500.00 each time. No water damage to the seat bottom, the airbag sensor in the bottom of my passenger side seat cushion was bad. It’s attached to the seat. They gave me a loaner for three months and then called to say the part is on back order until “sometime” in 2025. The pa

There have been recent reports of Tesla FSD accidents that are now under investigation by NHTSA relating to crashes that occurred under difficult visibility conditions. A video I recorded several years ago while driving into a fog bank in NW Washington, about an hour North of Seattle, is linked below. ... into the fog until the system triggered a takeover alarm. Usually, at this point several years ago, when the driver wanted to disengage FSD, the driver did so by raising the gear selection stalk. Raising the gear stalk disengaged TACC ONLY in this incident, and Autosteering remained active. (see: [XXX] ) After disengaging TACC, the car was slowed by regenerative braking but still under Autosteering control. Turning the steering wheel finally disengaged Autosteering, but that occurred second and was delayed by the driver's confusion over why raising the gear stalk wasn't enough to stop the alarm. Applying the brakes would have disengaged FSD completely - but that wasn't wise with low visibility. I tried re-engaging FSD briefly while still in fog (not shown in this video), and the system refused. This brings to mind a previous documentation video where, with FSD engaged, turning the wheel disengaged *Autosteering, but *TACC remained active. Again, the driver was not initially cognizant that TACC was still active (see: [XXX] ). I believe a subsequent recall remedied this 2nd example, but perhaps the fog bank-type takeover alarm was not affected by that recall remedy. Finally, I have one more video documenting the ability of FSD to see under challenging conditions, in this case, light rain, heavy rain, and eventually hail. No alarms were triggered (see: [XXX] ).
