Regularly serviced vehicle (2016 Kia Sedona SXL 3.3L) within recommended intervals; most recently on 9/10/2024 at ~117k miles. Invoice indicates dealer put in full capacity of oil (6qt). Took 220 (one way, ~440 total) mile trip on 11/5-11/7/2024; vehicle performed well other than aforementioned startup noise. [XXX], vehicle noise had increased significantly and "engine control system" message with CEL was present on the dashboard which was later extinguished after an engine restart. No other warning/error indications were present before or since. Onboard vehicle diagnostics run by the owner (Kia "eServices" app) on 11/12 did not indicate any issues. It was decided we better not drive it and service was scheduled for 11/22. On the same day (11/12) we found the oil to be low by 4.5 qts. Filling the oil to "full" removed a significant amount of the engine noise but (layman's) inspection did not reveal any oil leakage and no other signs of oil burning had been noted previously. One additional trip of ~16 miles made on 11/19 and 6 miles to service on 11/22 (now at 121k miles). Dealer upon inspection stated rod bearings were bad and engine needed replaced. Retrieving the vehicle from service and driving home, it catastrophically failed losing all power in highway traffic and could not be restarted. I'm reporting this because I saw DP24-001 and PE23-019 which seem to be very similar to my issue. I see no reason why a regularly serviced engine could fail so quickly other than a possible manufacturing defect. The engine/components have not been touched since the dealer appointment on 11/22. ... my inspection and the subsequent assessment by the authorized service center, I identified multiple critical issues: lag bolts connecting the unit's walls to the frame were found to be missing, loose, and bent. There were also instances where holes existed in the frame without lag bolts. Additionally, cracks were observed in several welds, welded metal reinforcement tabs were broken, and there were indications of torn or sheared metal. Strained and moving parts were also noted, indicated by rust formation and an accumulation of metal shavings throughout the kingpin area. Consequently, the structural integrity of the kingpin, which connects the RV to the tow vehicle during transit, remains to be determined. The manufacturer-authorized service center has confirmed all issues above. Service center technicians, a manufacturer representative, and I inspected the vehicle using Grand Design Technical Service Bulletin 24-001 as the inspection criteria. January 24 - June 24 I observed an accumulation of sawdust in various locations within the RV. This was accompanied by the disintegration of cabinetry. Cabinet doors detached from their frames, trim separated from the walls, and cabinetry began detaching from both the wall and floor. Side tables had contact marks from contact with outer walls during transit. The aluminum garage door surround had cracked welds at three corners. I was told others have also tried to get M-B to cover this cost and were rejected. My vehicle has very few miles for its age. I have never had to replace rear brake lines in the 40 years I have owned a Mercedes Benz vehicle. I believe that they have not adequately protected the undercarriage from weather. The rear subframe is my evidence. At some point these brake lines could fail. They will be replaced. I want the manufacturer to cover the cost of the brake lines when the rear subframe is replaced. In March I received a letter from GMC announcing issues with their Turbo Gas engine, stating all the issues I had experienced both times. I was directed to a GMC dealer near me, but they refused to fix the issue and instead told me they can "break my car down for $560 and then when they find the issue they would quote me a price for repairs." The dealership confirmed the findings and sent all documentation to ford corporate headquarters with price quotes and everything so that they can repair the issue since this problem is seen on all ecoboost engines in all ford models. Ford corporate denied everything and said that my vehicle was too old and that this is not a known "issue" with their vehicles. I searched online and found multiple people having several issues with ford fusions that have the ecoboost engine problems. Fuel pump flange failure resulting in leaking fuel while I was riding the bike. It is available for inspection. My safety was put at risk because the bike could have caught fire while riding and also potentially could have caused me to crash. ... ve. There was no warning or symptom other than I could smell fuel while I was riding. In April 2014 BMW issued recall notice 13V-617 for a potential fuel leak at the fuel pump flange. The remedy by BMW was to place a reinforcing ring around the fuel pump flange or replace the fuel pump with a new pump that had a preinstalled reinforcing ring. My fuel pump was replaced in November 2015 under the recall. At the conclusion of my ride on 11/16/24 my inspection revealed fuel leaking around the fuel pump flange with fuel puddling on top of the fuel pump. Enough fuel leaked and dispersed during my ride that fuel had also collected in between the cylinder cooling fins on one side of the motor which is a potential ignition source. It was also evident that fuel had blown onto the side of the bike. I was extremely fortunate fuel didn't contact the exhaust pipe which is in proximity to where fuel was leaking and ignite. Even though it has been 9 years since my fuel pump was replaced the reinforcing ring remedy for the fuel pump flange does not work as evidenced by the leak on my bike. The leak should have never occurred. The fuel pump flange on these fuel pumps even with a reinforcing ring is still apparently a bad design and still subject to failure and creates a life safety hazard. My bike could have easily caught fire which could have resulted in personal injury or a crash. I consider myself lucky that neither of these hazards occurred. I have contacted BMW Customer Support. A case number was issued and my case was escalated to the next level. Im waiting for their response.Read more

Service 4WD light came on. Mechanic received C14A7-97 code indicating a problem with the PTU. Also I was told that the internals of the transfer case were jammed and cannot engage 4x4.
