This issue impacts: emergency braking, blind spot detection, lane keep/centering, assisting with parking, automatic high beams and wipers, cruise control/ adaptive cruise control, Vehicles built in GPS to be stuck at one location every time, has made my touchscreen not automatically brighten or dim, my auto dimming mirrors be too dim in most driving conditions, constantly fail to install system improvements and safety updates, and because my vehicle keeps trying to do this, it has caused increased battery drain as well. Additionally, the vehicle came to a stop on the highway when my wife and I were in the car on the night of [XXX], forcing us to perform an emergency pullover and abandon the car 22 miles north of Rochester, MN overnight. On June1, 2022 Mel Hambelton Ford replaced all 4 door latches do to recall. A few weeks ago I noticed that my 2 back doors were NOT Locking. They would click, but would not lock. Front doors work fine. The New latches they put in are as follows. LF-280720, LR-110820, RR-270914 and, RF-290914. I have attached the dated Invoice. In order to keep the doors from opening, I have taken my backseat belts

Have had the car for about 3 months. In that time frame the main display for the radio and vehicle monitoring will go out and become unreadable. This will cause the various sensors to go inop, these include but not always the front collision/brake sensor, the lane departure system, adaptive cruise control, etc. I have had the car in three times and the dealership will reset the system, say they do

Have not had an incident, but have a concern that a failure could happen and the vehicle not perform as designed causing an accident. Affects all models built from July 2024 to present with most recent “AP4” computer and hardware, primarily out of Fremont factory. Suddenly, computer is short circuiting. This system failure includes: -federally required rear view vision system -adaptive cruise control -automatic emergency braking -blind spot warning -forward collision warning -lane departure warning -lane keeping assistance -parking collision warning -rear cross traffic warning -visibility and wiper systems -all external lighting systems -speed control Internally, Tesla service advisors and managers are being told to advise customers that vehicles can be safely driven until fixed - which is currently diagnosed to be a removal and replacement of this “AP4”, which is heavily supply chain restricted. Customers are being told to wait “weeks” - with estimations in January and February - for this to be fixed. Service Advisors and managers are being told to not acknowledge clear safety concerns given vehicles are no longer compliant with all applicable federal laws and regulations, such as those requiring rear view vision field of view expansion, etc. Further, internally Sales advisors and Managers are being told to continue heavily pushing sales to meet record sales targets to impact stock price. Several private conversations regarding ethical concerns of pushing noncompliant and known defective vehicles for stock value and potential criminality. Service advisors and managers also privately concerned regarding legal liability of impacted and defective vehicles in accident, given Tesla is communicating to continue driving. The engine developed a ticking noise. From what I have found, there are defective rocker arms in the engine. Eventually, they will fail and cause complete engine failure which can occur at any time, even when driving at high speeds. This seems to be a serious safety concern. Just recently I've noticed that when the engine is running and I'm stopped or parked the truck will "lurch". Almost as if I'm trying to hit the gas while parked or holding the brakes. Since this has started, I've also noticed that from 25mph to 60/65mph there is a violent vibration ONLY under acceleration (20-25% on the power meter) while the engine is running. After about 10,000 miles, we started getting a loud squeal noise in the front brake area when taking off from a stop. The vehicle is a 2021 Ford Transit with a 2022 Winnebago Ekko RV. The incident occurred when I started the engine and noticed an unusual high pitch whine. When I opened the hood the Balmar unit was extremely hot with a strong burning smell. Since the Ekko models have had numerous reports of secondary alternator / Balmar malfunctions I knew enough to disable the alternator by unplugging the 4 pi
... n connector on the Balmar 618 regulator before traveling any further. The following morning I plugged the Balmar unit back in place to see if the high pitch sound reoccurred. The sound immediately returned and I used my infrared thermometer which read 438 degrees Fahrenheit on the Balmar alternator. The Lithionics battery app indicated the batteries were 90 percent full but would no longer charge, leaving me only shore power to recharge the batteries. There is a NHTSA Safety Recall 23V-234, Campaign # 174 Ekko 12V Charging System, sent out by Winnebago for this very safety issue due to fires. We had this recall completed at the Forest City Iowa Winnebago factory in April of 2024. There have been numerous failures on Balmar units that have had the campaign #174 recall completed, including ones performed at the factory. The Winnebago fix is obviously not working and is still an extreme fire issue.Read more

The problem continued to occur. The second time, I was told the issue could not be addressed at that time. I was told that Ford Corp was aware of the problem but they did not have a fix available at that time. I was told that Ford Corp was working on software enhancements that would be available sometime in the future that would address the issue. The problem continued to occur. The third time I was advised the problem could not be addressed at that time and “Ford is working on additional software enhancements which are expected to be delivered over-the-air (OTA) by late Q4 2024” and “Software will update automatically if vehicle connectivity is enabled in the vehicle’s settings.” The problem continues to occur, so much so that I have several recorded videos of the problem occurring.Read more

... he windshield. They were able to maintain a clear view in the middle of the windshield. I ran the defroster at full temperature, the "HI" setting, with the fan speed at 6 out of 8. The external temperature was 14 degrees Fahrenheit. Driving speeds varied from 30mph on county roads and 65mph on the interstate. The front defroster vent does not run the full width of the vehicle, so there is no way to apply warm/hot air to the outer edges to keep it from refreezing and maintain full visibility.
