My vehicle has had recalls performed multiple times since 1st purchased in 2012. The issue was vehicle stalling. At 1st Chrysler / Dodge addressed it as issues upon start up where the vehicle sounded as though it was skipping when hitting the ignition button. They attempted to remedy this with multiple fuel pump relay recalls. They attempted to do internal which did not work. They then went extern
... al which also did not work. Nothing was ever formerly recognized as a suitable resolution, so any of us dealing with this were just forgotten. Well I still have this vehicle and it has gotten worse to the point the vehicle will randomly stall while in motion as it did the other day and on multiple other occasions. Under braking conditions the vehicle stalls where everything on the dash appears normal electronically, there is just no power and the steering locks up. I have addressed this multiple times with Dodge customer service as well as my local dealership. The dealership does not want to attempt any repairs because they want to be paid and the manufacturer is not entertaining it. I am aware the vehicle is out of warranty but I am not paying for something the manufacturer has known about since first purchased. There has been no further actions by the manufacturer to address this. They have moved on to newer existing Durango models.Read more

This impacts Tesla’s unique route planning feature that sets up Supercharger stops during long journeys. Without a functioning navigation system, I cannot properly plan my travel or locate charging stations, which severely affects the usability of the vehicle. Safety Concerns: The failure of these systems, especially safety features like forward collision warning, lane keeping assistance, and blind spot monitoring, puts both the driver and others on the road at risk. Losing access to safety-critical functions after an update is unacceptable and poses a serious danger to vehicle occupants and surrounding traffic. Incident Details: • The issue occurred immediately following a software update. • Tesla pushed the update remotely without providing any warning or indication of potential risks. • The failure appears to be related to a hardware short in the AP4 computer, directly caused or exacerbated by the update. Desired Outcome: • A thorough investigation into Tesla’s software update process and its effect on vehicle hardware and safety systems. • A resolution that prevents similar failures in other vehicles and ensures system updates do not compromise vehicle safety or critical functionality. This incident is the result of poor operation of safety warning and navigation systems in a Tesla Model 3 leading to an accident. I rented a Tesla Model 3 from Hertz at Seattle Tacoma airport. At a traffic light I followed navigation directions making a left turn into Southcenter Mall in Tukwila WA. This turn placed me in the direction of a Subaru which hit me in the driver side rear side. The
... Tesla safely warning visual and audible system did not activate as designed. I owned a similar Tesla Model 3 at the time and was very familiar with its operation. The navigation and collision warning systems in this rental vehicle did not in any way act or engage like my personal vehicle, and therefore I was placed in a dangerous situation causing an accident to occur. This was a low speed accident, as I was beginning to accelerate after the light turned green, with sufficient time for the systems to react and provide warning, which they did not. I was not cited in the accident. This may be a Hertz maintenance issue or a Tesla issue I'm not sure. I am loading both the Tukwila Police report and Hertz accident summary which contradict: Please note the Hertz report is correct in the Subaru hitting me and the damage on the left sideRead more

The infotainment system in my 2018 Nissan Armada failed. The issues include unresponsiveness of the touchscreen, frequent system freezes or restarts, glitches with Bluetooth connectivity, loss of backup camera functionality during reboots, and a black screen. The most significant issue is incessant random reboots, which occur without any apparent cause. These reboots can continue for the entire du
... ration of a drive or happen sporadically, leading to distractions, the loss of presets and settings, and interrupted Bluetooth connections. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. The malfunctioning infotainment system poses several safety risks. The frequent reboots distract the driver, especially when attempting to reconnect Bluetooth or troubleshoot the system mid-drive. Additionally, the loss of the backup camera during reboots compromises visibility while reversing, significantly increasing the risk of an accident. The unresponsiveness and black screen further hinder safe operation, as critical features like navigation and audio controls are inaccessible. Yes, the problem has been reproduced by the dealership. They confirmed that the infotainment system experiences reboots and black screens, consistent with common complaints about this vehicle. However, they could not offer a resolution because my VIN is not included in related recalls or service bulletins. The vehicle has been inspected by the dealership, but no other parties, such as Nissan corporate representatives, have been involved in reviewing the issue though I have tried to get them involced with repeated attempts at contact via phone and email. There were no warning lamps or error messages prior to the failures. I have a 2020 Ram 1500 pickup, and the rear window leaks on both side of the glass and runs down to the carpet and it is starting to smell really moldy. I took it into the ram dealership on 11-4-24, and they said they have had several complaints on this and said I could pay to have it replaced or they could put silicone around the glass to see if it stops the leak. I wasn't happy with this but I t
... old them to go ahead and reseal it and they did. About a week later it was leaking again. I called Ram Cares both times and they told me that they have lots of complaints about this same issue as I'm having as well. Matter as fact my son also has a 2020 ram 1500 that leaks and my next door neighbor has a 2021 ram 1500 that is also is leaking. I took it back in 12-17-24 and they told me they were told by Ram to reseal it again. Again I'm not happy about this. I am hoping someone will make them fix this issue. I paid a lot on money for this truck to not be able to drive it in the rain or get sick in the process of the mold. If you do a google search, back in 2016 there was several complaints and they failed to address the issue since then. The Ram service lady said they changed it in the 2023 model, but not going to fix the older models because it would cost to much. They are trying to reseal it as putting a band aid over it and if they do stop the leak now someday down the road it will leak again from the sealant decaying and then they won't do nothing. Something needs to be done please.Read more

Incident date: Dec 18, 2024
Yes, a failing EGR cooler can indirectly affect the exhaust pressure control valve by disrupting the normal exhaust gas flow, potentially causing the valve to operate outside its intended parameters due to abnormal pressure fluctuations in the exhaust manifold, leading to potential issues with engine performance and emissions control. Explanation: Pressure imbalances: When an EGR cooler fails, it
... can leak coolant into the exhaust system, which creates steam and disrupts the normal exhaust gas flow, leading to uneven pressure changes in the exhaust manifold. EGR valve response: The exhaust pressure control valve (often part of the EGR system) relies on a specific pressure differential to regulate the flow of exhaust gas back into the engine. If the pressure in the exhaust manifold is significantly altered due to a failing EGR cooler, the valve may not function optimally. Potential consequences: Reduced engine performance: Incorrect EGR flow due to pressure fluctuations can lead to reduced power and poor acceleration. Increased emissions: Improper EGR function can result in higher emissions levels. Check engine light: A failing EGR cooler often triggers a check engine light due to the engine's inability to maintain optimal operating parameters. Key points to remember: While an EGR cooler failure directly impacts the coolant system, its effects can cascade to affect the exhaust pressure control valve due to the altered exhaust gas dynamics. If you suspect an EGR cooler problem, it's crucial to have it inspected and repaired promptly to prevent further complications with other components like the exhaust pressure control valve. The information that is above details why when the EGR cooler was recalled by mopar and then fixed is most likely the reason that caused my sensor to fail. The dealership where the recall repairs are being done is trying to charge me almost $1500.00 dollars to replace them even though they are directly related to the recall. ( 19V-757)Read more
