Repeated shift to park message even when in park. Resulting in many hours of shutting off and on, shifting between gears to get it to recognize it is in park. Dealership where purchased is trying to convince me it's a $700 fix with no recall. It is a known GM problem. My Accord HG Issue Well my 2018 Honda Accord Sport 1.5t that I’ve owned for not even 2yrs and | bought it with 54k and now has only 59k on it and has started acting up the last few weeks!!! It went into limp mode once a few weeks ago outta nowhere and just shut my car off and so I then turned it off and back on and it reset. Well fast forward a week later and limp mode again and so l hooked it
... up to a OBD scanner and said misfire cylinder 3 so l replaced the spark plugs and at that point. I then noticed the oil was low and due for a change and it smelled like straight gas. So drove a lil bit and limp mode again and again it said misfire cylinder 3!!! So then I decided to swap the coil pack and checked the spark plug again and seemed normal, also I noticed my coolant was below minimum so I filled it hoping that was my issue and cruised later and no limp mode so l thought I that fixed it, but one thing I noticed was at higher rpm’s in Ist gear the exhaust would backfire a lil but no limp mode. Well the next day I went cruising for a few hours and it was good all night but then on my way home it went into limp mode again!!! So Saturday was when I filled my coolant and Sunday after cruising I checked my coolant and it was still at full, well l checked it again on Monday night and it’s now in the middle of full and minimum and the new fresh oil smells like straight gas and also went down a lil!!! So then I had a buddy who’s a mechanic with borescope look at the cylinders and cylinder 3 was not great 4 had a lot of carbon build up and liquid in which looked like antifreeze and I also did another test that confirmed it was the head gasket!!! This is VERY DANGEROUS and a SAFETY issue BIG TIME because I was on the highway and all of a sudden I lost power at 70mph and couldn’t accelerate and had to pull over on the highway which was even more dangerous and had to shut it down and then it would reset and I was able to drive until it happened again!!!Read more

... e large gates are closed and the red lights are on to indicate that the Express lanes are closed in the direction of traffic. To counteract this, it is necessary to quickly take control of the steering wheel and to get it to cancel Auto Pilot, otherwise the car would go into the gates and cause an accident. This has happened to me several times when I was traveling in the left most lane and when the gates were closed. This happened in November, December and in January. The system has not learned to handle this situation and to avoid steering into the barriers. I reported these incidents to Tesla’s Support Team by phone and after several weeks I received a phone call whereby the local service center (Rockville, MD) called me. Josh, the person that called me read a lengthy text to me that essentially reviewed the driver’s responsibilities when using Auto Pilot. On 1/17/25, I was on my commute to my office when I noted a very strong and unpleasant odor. Thinking it was from a truck in front of me, I passed the truck, cracked my passenger window and continued the short distance to my office. After work, when I returned to my car, I noted a hole burned through my driver's side leather seat. I didn't make the connection to the odor from that morning until
... I arrived home and did some online research. It turns out that my front seat warmer had malfunctioned, burning all the way through the leather. This problem is well documented online in various forums in my year, make and model. In some cases I read about, driver's clothing burned. In one case I found, a child was burned. This is also a well documented problem that occurred in earlier models of Mercedes, resulting in a lawsuit and a recall. My car is currently at the dealer for repair of the faulty seat warmer, replacement of the burned foam cushion, and replacement of the leather seat cover. This could have been so much worse had I been earlier in my commute, or on a highway where I could not have pulled over. It seems like this problem should prompt a recall.Read more

Currently they haven't commented on the Power Steering function but rather that there is a gear needing to be replaced in the steering column. Upon looking online it shows "Several model years of GMC Sierra trucks have been subject to a recall for intermittent power steering issues related to electrical glitches within the EPS system." However, my truck seems to not be on this list of affected vehicles but there is no other explanation of why this is happening with my truck and GMC has not commented on why it is happening but it is extremely dangerous.Read more

The dealership has confirmed that there is an internal failure with the Car-Net module in the vehicle.

Upon starting the vehicle, there is a distinct gas smell that fills the cabin. It goes away after awhile driving, but happens again when the car has been turned off and started again. This comes through the air vents in the cabin. The outside of the car, from under the hood, also smells of gas when parked. The forward collision detection system failed first. Then the car suddenly would not move and gave a pull over immediately warning on the dash and also flashed a battery light. I have already taken this car to the dealership twice for issues in under two years. The problems began when the vehicle wouldn’t start one morning; the steering column was locked despite a fully charged battery. This failure could have led to a serious accident, especially since I drive frequently for work and school. There were no warning signs prior to this incident. I'm definitely getting me a lawyer to fix this [XXX] because all I've ever wanted was this body style but all they care about is money over quality. GM and they're retail sellers knew about AFW problems and sold us [XXX] anyway.

There is an issue with the alcohol in the fuel, causing degradation within the fuel tank and leaving corrosive deposits in the filter screens within the fuel pump, causing the fuel pump to fail. The fuel pump was replaced in the summer of 23 and I now have another fuel pump failing this date January 17, 2025.

The steering coupler has been replaced also taking the play out of the wheel as those things are a small rubber "cog wheel" that wears completely to nothing causing severe play and a clunking noise in the wheel between the turning of left or right as that component acts as a spacer/gear/vibration absorber between the steering shaft and the steering assist helper motor gears these cars ALSO were sold knowing they were piston slap engines yet Still never issued a recall until YEARS and multi millions of complaints later only to only cover certain years and models yet they All had the same engine. Imagine the IDIOCY! I will NEVER purchase a Hyundai or a Kia EVER again rest assured! I do my research and homework on every potential item I'm looking into possibly getting yet Nowhere at the time was there any info regarding they were piston slap engines turning these out by the multi millions and trying to hide the fact until they no longer could. This is re: dash warning that came on saying "Action Required, Steering Assist is Reduced, Drive with Care" on 2021 Chevy Blazer, 28.800 miles.
