Three times in the past couple of weeks, my vehicle has lost power at high speed. Once when I was trying to merge and again while just driving at high speed and giving it gas to avoid a situation in front of me. The gauges were working again, and the transmission seemed to be working as well. The second time it happened to me was while I was driving and it did the exact same thing, but I did not have to pull over to restart the vehicle. It started working again suddenly, at that time, the gauges were working. My husband was on the highway trying to pass another vehicle when he gave it gas, the truck suddenly lost all power, the transmission sounded like it was in neutral revving up due to giving it gas. Then just as suddenly it slammed really hard back into gear with a loud boom, so hard in fact, he thought he was hit from behind and was jerked forward in the vehicle violently. I contacted the dealership who works on our car and was told without a check engine light or a code there’s nothing they can do but to bring it there when it does that. The problem occurs intermittently and corrects before we can get to the dealership. I told the Ford dealership about the recall on the six speed transmission, 19S07, and was told that recall was taken care of in 2019 at Auffenburg Ford where we bought the vehicle. What is going on now is exactly the description of that recall, but because there are no active recalls for my vehicle the dealership does not want to even look at the vehicle. I and my husband or another driver could have been killed with high speed power loss like this. How do I get this recall re-added so the dealership will do something before a fatality?Read more

At 20,000 miles, I brought it in again for routine maintenance. They finally checked the transmission and saw it had major damage. They repaired it for free under warranty. However 20,000 miles of running with contaminated transmission fluid and damaged parts gave me huge concerns about undue wear to the other parts in the transmission and it's long term lifespan. I asked for a full transmission replacement and was told that corporate would never approve it. So I called their customer service department and the customer service department said that they will not extend warranties and that it was Riatas decision not to replace the transmission (from what I understand that was blatantly untrue, it's corporate policy). So now my options are lemon law it (but the car doesn't really qualify for that and they strung me along for 20k miles when lemon law only is valid to 24k miles), or sue ford (yeah like I have the time or energy or resources for that). They refused to escalate to anyone internal who can make decisions, refused to send me a written denial of escalation, refused to do anything but gaslight me (This is customer service, not Riata).Read more

... eels like mine and even though I have my own 2 post lift and routinely inspect the vehicle, I was not aware of 3 cracks in my 2 rear wheel that were discovered at Ciocca, Chevrolet in AC today during a routine alignment with road force balancing at my request. I have attached an invoice to replace both rear wheels that was provided by the dealer. The problem is that GM never addressed this issue with a forged wheel upgrade. The extra wheel width on the Grand Sport and Z06 clearly require a forged wheel to prevent routine cracking under normal use. Oem wheels are cast. As a long time GM buyer with 2 current GM vehicles (corvette and suburban), and 2 past GM vehicles (corvette and tahoe), I expected at least a conversation regarding a sensible next step in making my care usable and capable on road. Instead I was told that there were no open recalls and that there was nothing to be done. GM has built a 200mph capable vehicle, advertised as a track ready, that can't even drive down normal roads, without cracking it's wheels. This poses an extreme safety risk to everyone on the road. The fact that GM is not offering to replace all wheels on affected vehicles is gross negligence.Read more

The auto close feature on the Tesla Model X can quite dangerous. I’ve been hit by it unexpectedly closing several times. The most recent time, the rear trunk closed on me while I was taking out my grocery bag out of it. It hit my forehead, and I got a major bump. I used Summon on [XXX] to bring my car to me because it was parked way at the end of the parking lot at Discount tire. There was only 1 car in the whole lot, which was parked next to my Tesla. When I called my local Tesla Service Center in Austin to ask what I am supposed to do, they told me they needed to run diagnostics to see if they can fix the “summon” issue. After running diagnostics they blamed the issue on the wrap I have on my car. They did not test the sensors obviously though, because they work fine through the wrap. Not to mention that Tesla offers wraps from the factory now. They also stated that Summon was aborted due to collision, so it did report their was a wreck. Repair Notes: The proximity sensors on the vehicle are being obstructed by the vehicle wrap, which results in interference or compromised sensor functionality. This interference can disrupt the accurate detection of surrounding objects, impacting the vehicle’s ability to engage safety features like autopark. Data analysis reveals that the autopark function was aborted during collision, due to the seat belt not being fastened at the time of the incident. I've now had 2 engines fail catastrophically, One at 19,191 miles and the second failure at 80,661. Both are the 6.2L engine. The first had crank bearings that were black. The second I was not informed of the cause but that it was seized leaving me stranded on the roadside.

Two weeks I had my model Y serviced for shaking of the car and steering wheel. They deemed the cause of the shaking due to unalignment of the wheels and they claimed to have fixed the issue. After receiving the car for the week after it began to make a sound of something hitting every time I made a U turn or any time I turned the wheel. ... n a parking lot and heard the same loud sound of hitting. When I went to check two large approximately 3 inch bolts were on the ground but no nuts in sight and my control arm broke the bottom plate and was completely unattached from the car. Thankfully the bolts came off while in a parking lot and not 20 minutes prior when I was driving on a windy road. Within 24hours Tesla contacted me saying my car was ready for pickup without any explanation of why the bolts came off, No full inspection completed for other issues and no alignment of the tires. Under the Tesla mechanic notes they only reinstalled the bolts and tightened the front wheels and not the back. Upon further research online I have found numerous other people complaining of the same issue of the bolts for the control arm falling off on Model Y and 3 Teslas due to forgetting to weld the bolt nuts to the sub frame.Read more
