Coolant intrusion into cylinders causing engine misfires, spikes in engine temperature, and issues with car starting. The check engine light came on as I started the car, and the engine shuddered as if misfiring. As I was driving the vehicle to get the issue checked out, the vehicle’s extreme temperature warning went off, instructing me to pull over and shut the vehicle off immediately. The c

After finally getting the vehicle to start, I got it to a service center where it was diagnosed with a blown head gasket and coolant was present in the engine oil. I was informed that the vehicle WAS NOT safe to drive and needed a complete engine replacement.Read more

There was a recall reported by the manufacturer, Volkswagenm in 2008. There were multiple Fuel System issues: A Heat Shield that may contact the exhaust system and result in a vehicle fire; a fuel leak from a fuel line or fuel tank ventilation valve, in the presence of an ignition source, can lead to a vehicle fire. In 2008, my car was inspected and the recall was deemed "complete." However, the c

I bought the car used 6 years ago, and it has been diagnosed as having a defective fuel tank ventilation valve. VW should pay for the parts and labor to have this fixed because it was never fixed. I've been told there's no statue of limitations on recalls. VW claims that because the recall was deemed "Complete" that they "fixed" the issue but they didn't.Read more

... isor told me “It was a glitch” and that I should check the app, but no documentation appeared. Despite multiple in-person and written requests, I never received a record of the visit. On [XXX], the vehicle failed to start and was towed back to Tesla. A May 24 invoice confirmed a major safety issue—a high-voltage current fault that triggered the Pyrotechnic Battery Disconnect. Tesla later marked the May 21 appointment as “canceled” in their system. I photographed this cancellation screen in July, confirming the visit was erased despite a clear safety-related defect. This raises concerns about Tesla’s compliance with documentation and reporting obligations. I also submitted two reimbursement requests for $470.12 in transportation costs, which Tesla has not honored. These incidents show a pattern of concealment and unfair warranty practices. I respectfully request an investigation into this issue and whether a broader safety recall is warranted. Supporting documents are available upon request. To Whom It May Concern, I’m writing to express my deep frustration and disappointment with Nissan over the CVT failure in my 2011 Nissan Sentra. There are no active recalls listed for my vehicle, yet I’m experiencing the same transmission failure thousands of others have reported—jerking, hesitation, loss of power, and check engine codes P1778 and P0776. I purchased this car 3–4 months a
... go as a single mother trying to rebuild my life. I chose this vehicle specifically because I thought it would be a dependable, affordable option to get back on my feet. Instead, I’m now stuck with a car that’s barely driveable, a dangerous transmission, and no support. It feels like punishment for trying to do things the right way. I understand warranties expire, but Nissan is a million-dollar company, and the CVT transmission issues are a known and ongoing defect. You should not continue to profit while customers are left stranded and burdened with thousands in repairs due to faulty engineering. It’s not just inconvenient—it’s harmful. This kind of failure makes life significantly harder for people who are already struggling. I’ve contacted Consumer Affairs. I was disconnected mid-call and haven’t received help opening a case. I now need reliable transportation to care for my child and maintain the progress I’ve worked so hard for. I’m requesting that Nissan review this case and offer some form of goodwill assistance or reimbursement. I should not have to choose between feeding my family and fixing a transmission that should have never failed this early. Please take responsibility. Do better for the people who trusted your brand.Read more

The truck started shuttering one day it was like I was driving on the drunk bumps but I wasn't. Also it will drop gears when it shouldn't and at times it will kinda jump like it's losing power and don't want to go. I have taken it to my step dad who has been a transmission mechanic all his life and he said the transmission needs to be rebuilt but even rebuilding it won't solve the problem because

After installation, my car began displaying two error messages, and key safety features, including detection of nearby vehicles and warning systems, ceas

Upon contacting Tesla customer service, I was instructed to schedule a service appointment, which I did for May 21, 2025, at 2:15 PM. During the appointment, the Tesla service advisor confirmed that the issue began only after the software update. However, I was told I would need to pay $3,000 out-of-pocket to repair the issue because my car is no longer under warranty. I raised the point that the malfunction was caused directly by Tesla’s software update. Despite this, I was informed that Tesla refuses to repair it at their cost, even after acknowledging the connection between the update and the malfunction. Moreover, the technician informed me that this issue could escalate and create safety hazards in 4–6 months, yet no resolution or recall has been offered. Given the acknowledgment that: The problem was introduced by Tesla's software, The malfunction affects critical safety systems, and There is imminent risk to safety, I believe Tesla should bear responsibility for the repair and ensure the vehicle is safe to operate. This situation warrants urgent attention, both from a consumer protection and vehicle safety standpoint. I request that Tesla take full accountability and cover the repair costs immediately, or offer a rollback/fix to the software that caused the issue. Otherwise, I will be escalating this matter to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and consumer protection agencieRead more

Hyundai Motor Corporation's recall # 251, addresses the Anti-Lock Brake (ABS) system module in the 2014 Hyundai Elantra models. According to the recall, these models have the potential and propensity to leak brake fluid from the ABS module, causing an electrical short, which can cause a fire within the engine compartment. The same can happen, according to Hyundai, even if the car is not in motion
... and parked. Hyundai, according to its recall instructions, "strongly advised, due to 'FIRE' risk, to park your vehicle outside and away from structures."? (My car is garage-kept). Because of the brake fluid leak and the subsequent fire, the brakes themselves have also been known to fail. Now, Hyundai states that the issue is fixed by replacing the ABS fuse. These actions and statements have raised some concerns. If the ABS fuse were bad and needed replacement, it would send a code to the ECM (Electronic Control Module), thus illuminating the check engine light. The code would then translate to an ABS failure somewhere in the braking system. No codes were found regarding the ABS or any other system; the Technician looked ( repair summary available), either current or stored in my car's ECM. In addition, the check engine light wasn't on. So, Hyundai replaced a good fuse with another good fuse. Sounds redundant and somewhat fruitless, as fuses have nothing to do with fixing leaks. For example, if the radiator was suspected of leaking antifreeze, would you replace a fuse, thinking that would prevent the radiator from leaking? If the engine was suspected of leaking oil from the oil pan, would you replace a fuse to prevent the oil from leaking? No!!. So than why does Hyundai think that replacing the ABS fuse would prevent or even stop the ABS module from leaking brake fluid, and thus causing a fire inside the engine compartment? The reason is the dollars that make no sense. Hyundai places profits over human lives because it knows the real solution would to be to replace theRead more

In February of 2025, my oil lamp warning light came on. My husband checked the oil dipstick and noticed that it didn't have any oil on it. There was a visible burn mark as well. I called my local Hyundai dealer to schedule an appointment to see why my car was burning oil like that as it was not due for an oil change. The appointment was made for February 20, 2025. My car at that time had 79,803 mi
... les on it. The Hyundai dealer suggested performing an engine combustion cleaning service, per Hyundai, to see if it would "fix" the problem. They also went ahead and did an oil change. After these services were done, I was told to bring the car back in after 1,000 miles. Hyundai's guidelines are that they allow 1 quart of oil loss per every 1,000 miles. I brought the car back to the Hyundai dealer after 1,000 miles and that was in April of 2025. I was told that my vehicle passed the inspection. The oil level on the dipstick was in the "normal range." After a few weeks, my husband checked the oil level again just to make sure the engine wasn't burning any additional oil since we were not convinced that the engine combustion cleaning service solved the problem. He checked it on May 11, 2025. The dipstick showed that it was below the L. I called the Hyundai dealer once again, and they were able to get me in on Tuesday, May 13th. My mileage was 81,792 on the day I brought it back in. They confirmed that it had burned over 2 quarts of oil in less than 2,000 miles. That is more oil consumption than Hyundai "allows" per their 1 quart of oil for every 1,000 miles rule. The dealer put in a request to Hyundai for a new engine replacement and I was denied due to my vehicle having no warranty.Read more

Drl is half burnt out. The led is not replacable and drl is a part of a safety item that is required to be road legal. Not only has my 2022 f150 lariat with the quad led headlights have this drl led burnt out, many on the f150 forums and facebook groups for 2021-2023 are having the same exact issue. A safety item like drl should be recalled if it is not repairable.
