On several occasions, the check engine light (CEL) accompanied these other warning lights during the "malfunction" and the CEL remained on even after a restart. A diagnostic scan revealed P0101 (Mass Air Flow Sensor Performance issue). However, when I had the vehicle inspected at a Nissan dealership, the technicians stated that the MAF sensor and related systems were operating correctly, and they could not identify a specific mechanical issue. Despite that, the CEL and other malfunctions continue to occur intermittently. They were also not able to recreate the situation I explained with the malfunction since it occurs at random times. This issue has happened multiple times and creates uncertainty about whether the vehicle is safe to operate. I have found numerous reports online from other Nissan Kicks owners experiencing the same combination of issues (P0101, random warning lights, and vehicle malfunctions that reset upon restart). I leased this brand new but demo car with 1850 miles, 2 months old from Tesla Seattle. This is a brand new total redesign-2026 Model Y. I was assured that they do multiple point testing before delivery and I had to trust their process. Unlike any other car dealers, I was NOT allowed to test drive this car before I sign the lease. ... wear and tear as a demo car). a) It's charged to only 60% battery rather than the full 80%. b) The stains all over suggest that apparently no one did any finish work as expected. I have pic proofs available upon request. The delivery manager Jill manually wiped off some stains when I pointed them out. c) There was a dent of 2-3 inches on the hood which indicates a possible past accident. After driving the car home, SERIOUS ISSUES were identified (because no test drive was allowed before I take the lease of the car). 1) The driver's car seatbelt does NOT LOCK upon a sudden pull, mimicking the situation in a crash. THIS IS A COMPLETELY RECALL ISSUE AS IT COULD CAUSE PPL TO DIE, AND MYSELF AS A MOM OF A SMALL CHILD INCLUDED. It locks about 3 out of 10 times. My previous cars- Mercedes, Toyota, Hyundai and BMW all lock on EACH sudden pull! 2) The passenger seatbelt has the same problem. 3) The backseat seatbelts are much better, and locks much more often than driver's and passenger's. It locks about 8 out of 10 times. I went to Tesla Lynnwood WA on Jun 6 and the service manager Cayla and tech said there is no issues despite that MY seatbelt performs so much worse than (1) other two 2026 Model Y, one of which is a newer demo (2) older Model Y, 2025 and prior, locks on EACH sudden pull as well! The infotainment system has major issues. We cannot use it bc it is dangerously distracting. If a phone is connected it will randomly make unrequested calls, mute calls over and over again, turn off navigation, falsely reports police or accidents without anyone prompting it to do so and randomly turns on static and loud radios stations. ... s or a podcast that you’ve never heard of. It is always flipping screens. It isn’t an occasional occurrence. It is all the time. Recently during a 10 minute drive it made 4 unrequested calls. If a phone is not connected it flips through screens and turns on the radio randomly and tries to connect to phones without being requested to do so. When you do try to connect a phone good luck. It won’t work easily or only the sound will come through but the screen will say nothing is connected. The touch screen only works about 20% of the time. You have to find your phone to hang up a phone call you didn’t make. We have recorded video of incidences. It has been happening since we got the car but recently it has been worse.Read more

The MMI component randomly stops working. Over the past four years of driving this Audi the MMI would suddenly reboot itself only once or twice a year. Now for the past three months it tries to reboot itself once or twice a day! ... when I'm backing out of my garage, luckily there is never anybody behind me but what if I'm in the mall parking lot. When the MMI reboots itself about half of the time it is similar to a conventional starting procedure, which isn't to bad but just annoying. Other times it wants you to log on as a "guest driver" or "registered driver hasn't been in the vehicle" or it even wants you to punch in a pin number on the key pad which I don't know. All this requires your concentration on the MMI and not on the road. I wish some one could inspect this and confirm my problems before I brought it to the dealer. If I brought my car to the dealer they would charge me for diagnostics and then say they "there is nothing wrong" or worse try to upsell me a whole new unit for mega dollars. I only drive about ten to fifteen miles a day so my time on the road is minimal but it only takes a moment of distraction to have an accident. While there haven't been any warning lamps or messages about the MMI problem there was another symptom to this problem. The control button on the center console and the thumb scroll wheel on the steering wheel had a very distinct delayed reaction. The volume would change 2-3 seconds after I used the knobs and even turn off 2-3 seconds after I hit the button on the console. I think this symptom started to occur before the MMI reboots. One more quirk, after the MMI reboots, the music from my USB drive will start to play not from when the MMI cut out but from when I started the car that morning. It starts to repeat the same songs. It has since required service again on December 24, December 31, and most recently, May 28, 2025. On one particularly alarming occasion, the vehicle shut off in the middle of the road, creating an extremely hazardous and life-threatening situation. I am driving a vehicle that cost over $60,000, yet it has proven consistently unreliable, unsafe, and unfit for normal operation. This experience has severely tarnished my perception of the Mercedes-Benz brand and has caused undue stress, inconvenience, and concern for my safety. Given the repeated repair attempts, persistent mechanical failures, and safety issues, I am requesting that Mercedes-Benz fully release me from this lease agreement without penalty or further financial obligation. ... took the car to a local certified repair shop, where they diagnosed a failure in the ODS sensor. I then brought it to a Toyota dealership for further inspection. The dealership confirmed the issue but required extra time and labor charges just to reach the same conclusion, even though I had already informed them of the diagnosis. Despite this being a clearly safety-critical system, I was told that no recall was active, and the repair cost would be entirely out-of-pocket, which is prohibitively expensive. As a result, the issue remains unresolved. There is a constant indicator light on the dash showing that the airbag system is deactivated when the passenger seat is occupied. To my knowledge, this issue has occurred in other Toyota models as well, and I believe this should be considered for a formal investigation and potential recall. After several attempts, the contact was able to move the gear shifter to drive(D). Most recently, the contact stated that upon parking and exiting the vehicle, the vehicle started to roll back 1 to 2 feet. Additionally, the contact engaged the parking brake. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to several dealers, including Schepel Cadillac (2929 W Lincoln Highway, Merrillville, IN 46410). The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. I paid for both my alternator and belt to be replaced But most recently (2025) I continued to whirring and knocking noises for 3 days (no warning lights) , I took it to firestone who stated I needed a motor repair so I got it towed to the dealership. A Ford certified mechanic stated my Flex Plate was cracked and it begin breaking off and how I needed a new starter as well leaving the car inoperable. They confirmed this was very uncommon due to the car age and the miles on it (80,000 mi) I’ve also reviewed the complaints on NHTSA and it looks like a lot of 2020 ford fusions are having these issues but yet no recall.Read more

Instrument panel has failed twice and is unresponsive. The gauges move and stay to the left after moving left to right. All lights begin to cycle through error messages. I have video of the issue both times it happened. When it occurs, you don't know your speed you have to guess, the full tank reads empty etc., and it is dangerous to back up.
