The first time the check engine light came on went to the dealer they hooked it up said just a battery drive it you will be fine. They turned the code error off. Left dealership drove to Home Depot and went to leave got in push the start button and the truck started making grinding no
... ises and every error message for every safety device began cycling on the dash. After several minutes it all just stopped and the truck was dead no responses could not unlock or lock doors. Could not shift or do anything. It had to be towed to dealership. After two and a half weeks they said it was repaired some value was stuck open and drained battery and shorted everything out. They replaced valve and batteries. Within two months check engine light came on and vehicle was dead again. This time was able to jumpstart and took it back to dealership. Left it there they had it two weeks and said it was the battery. Claimed could have been faulty battery. Now here it is another two months and check engine light came on, truck wouldn’t start. Got a jump then every safety system error messages started cycling through again. Immediately had to disconnect both batteries to make it stop. Reconnected drive home to where it is dead as a paperweight. Called dealership and they say bring it in a week and half from now and they will get to it when they can. There is something majorly wrong with this truck. It is unreliable and not safe to drive. 100% lemon that I am stuck with due to negative equity that is growing as time passes. All the forums have people repeating same issues with their trucks as well. A coworker has same truck 1400 miles and his check engine light just came on as well. My 2014 mazda 6 EVAP system pops the p0451 when filling up gas to the first click. It goes away after a while if I take care to not fill up the tank all the way to the top. It is similar to a issue reported by recall 7414D for other 2014 mazda 6s. My car is not covered by the open recall, but it is experiencing similar issues. I own a 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E affected by recall 25S65 / 25V404. Ford has placed a stop-sale on all 2024 and older Mach-Es for this issue but is allowing current owners to drive the vehicles. The defect can trap occupants or pets inside if the 12V battery discharges, posing a serious safety risk in hot weather (currently 100°F in my area). While driving my 2015 Tesla Model S, the main touchscreen (MCU) began intermittently going black, disabling access to essential vehicle controls, navigation, climate settings, and rear-view camera display. The loss of rear visibility increased the risk of collision with pedestrians, cyclists, or obstacles. The MCU failure also limited access to defrost/defog controls and turn signal audio feedback. Problem reproduction and confirmation: Tesla Service has confirmed both the MCU1 hardware failure and the rear-view camera malfunction. The problems occurred repeatedly before being inspected. The malfunction I am concerned with is the battery and the battery charging system (alternator, engine control module). I purchased this car new in July of 2024. This is a safety concern for me because if I didn't have a jump box for the car I would have been stuck or stranded. This could have been in 110 degree weather with my niece in the back seat. Or if the auto start/stop system was engaged, I could have been stuck with a dead car on the freeway in stop/start traffic in Los Angeles. I have seen multiple Outbacks on the freeway with dead batteries. When I took it to the dealer last week they confirmed the battery had gone bad, but were unable to find a parasitic drain or another reason why a year old battery would go bad. They acknowledged that older model Outbacks have the same battery drain issue and there is a current class action lawsuit for older model Outbacks (2015-2020) with this issue. They did not acknowledge that newer Outbacks had the same issue. No warnings appeared before this issue. There has been electronic issues with the vehicle since I took possession of it last year. After the battery issue presented itself, I did receive warning through my car there were issues with the backup breaking system and the collision control system. The dealer found an update for the Media Center, which they say may have been the cause of the battery drain. The two notifications have been cleared after the update. A simple search online revealed hundreds of complaints about the battery on the Outback, including people stating the manufacturer set the alternator to not charge the battery so they could market better gas mileage for the vehicle.Read more

The brake pedal became stiff. The pedal would depress and eventually stop the car but then occasionally more play would be in the pedal. My garage informed me to return it to Ford for warranty replacement of the brake booster, just like my other Ford Edge ( same year, same model). I took it to the dealership and they said that Acura has opened an investigation due to the number of complaints, but there is no solution yet. I pulled up to a red light in a protected left turn lane. My car is set to use regenerative braking and hold/not roll once stopped. I felt my car roll forward a bit, which shouldn't happen when these settings are on. I quickly checked my rearview mirror, assuming someone had hit me from behind to cause me to roll forward. ... l throttle speed, I would guess, into the intersection, despite the light being red for me. I quickly glanced down at my foot to confirm that it was on the brake pedal and it definitely was. I continued to repeatedly push the brake pedal down to no avail. I was steering and tried to navigate my way through 4 lanes of moving traffic because they had a green light. I hit the front end of a car, which didn't slow my car at all. I went on to hit another car's front end, which didn't slow my car at all either. My car then charged out of control to hit the curb on the opposite side of the street facing traffic. Hitting the curb stopped my car finally. I noticed that the airbags on the right side of my car were deployed. Components that failed/malfunctioned: brakes, fuel/propulsion system, speed control, automatic emergency braking, collision warning/avoidance, traffic signal detection Tesla Insurance has deemed the car a total loss. I also reported the malfunction to their Vehicle Support but haven't gotten the report or the data report from the car that I requested yet. I was told that the report would be complete by 8/7/25. The car was placed on a hold for the investigation, so it should be available for inspection. I do have the dashcam videos and photos of my car, if needed. This incident was terrifying because I had zero control of my vehicle due to the sudden unintended acceleration (SUA). I see on the internet that SUA is a problem with Tesla that has been reported repeatedly. It is a miracle that no one was hurt or killed. Tesla needs to address this immediately!Read more
