While driving at highway speed, the air conditioning system suddenly failed without warning. The system began blowing hot air and making a loud squealing noise. Both roadside associates inspected the vehicle at

This contradicts the inspection at the time of failure and my own video evidence. The problem has not been repaired. The vehicle remains at the service center and is available for inspection. The failure put my safety at risk by causing sudden loss of drivability in highway traffic. No warning lamps or error messages appeared before the failure. As of August 19, 2025, the recall status remains incomplete, a

The defect involves the door belt molding trim, which may delaminate and detach, posing a serious road hazard and increasing the risk of crash for other vehicles. This vehicle is not only a personal asset—it is a primary source of income through the Turo platform. Every day that the vehicle remains unrepaired results in direct financial losses, as I am unable to rent it out due to the unresolved safety issue. I am deeply concerned about the lack of timely remedy and the absence of a clear resolution timeline from Kia America. I respectfully request that NHTSA investigate this delay and take appropriate action to ensure Kia provides a remedy within a reasonable timeframe. I am prepared to provide documentation of income loss and correspondence with Kia, if needed. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Component/System involved: Advanced Driver Assistance Systems — FSD (Supervised)/Autosteer (Lane Keeping Assistance) and Adaptive Cruise Control. Possible failure to warn/stop (FCW/AEB). As soon as I saw the trajectory was unsafe, I braked and began manual steering takeover, but the vehicle contacted a roadside sign near the gore/shoulder before I could complete the maneuver. I then stopped safely. No other vehicles were struck. Airbags did not deploy. This posed a serious collision risk to me, my passenger, and nearby traffic. Reproduction/confirmation: NOT REPRODUCED. I have not attempted to reproduce the event. UNKNOWN whether the issue has been reproduced by Tesla or a service center yet. Inspection to date: Police responded (report pending). My insurer has opened a claim. I opened a Tesla Service request asking to PRESERVE Autopilot/FSD engineering logs for the incident window and to coordinate EDR extraction; engineering review pending. Vehicle remains drivable. Warnings or symptoms before failure: No audible/visual forward-collision warning was perceived by me and I did not observe automatic emergency braking. Hyundai sells Nexo Hydrogen Fuel Cell vehicles with known Fuel Cell stack issues, leading to severe safety issues from sudden power loss when driving, especially when overtaking and driving on highways and/or uphill. The power loss issue was diagnosed to originate from a fuel-cell stack failure, one of the Nexo’s main power-train components. This is a known power-train issue to Hyundai, debated
... online since 2021 by consumers experiencing the same power loss, across various Hyundai web-logs. Other affected consumers filed a class action lawsuit this year against Hyundai Motor America Inc, for the same and other reasons. The lawsuit accuses Hyundai of selling Nexo vehicles equipped with defective systems that fail to perform as promised. Plaintiffs argue that these defects compromise the vehicle’s performance, including the core hydrogen fuel cell stack, leading to reduced reliability and substantial safety concerns. There is no warning light indicating this issue when driving the Nexo under power loss conditions. One only realizes it when pressing the accelerator pedal and the power suddenly cuts out. In May 2025 I dropped off our 2020 Nexo Limited (~37,000 miles) at the hydrogen-certified Hyundai Dealer for a different and unrelated recall and for service, and mentioned the power loss issue. After some weeks of diagnosis the dealership called me back and verbally stated that they would not fix the car, nor would they give it ever back to me due to safety issues. Our car is still at the dealership, unresolved. No other dealers can repair Hyundai Nexo’s, because it is new hydrogen technology, very high pressures and special procedures, which no other repair shop would touch, so one must stick with Hyundai to get the problem addressed. Hyundai’s Original Manufacturer Warranty for Nexo Power Trains lists on page 15: Original Owner 10 Years/100,000 Miles, Subsequent Owner(s) 5 Years/60,000 Miles. So far I'm not aware of an existing recall for Fuel-Cell Power Loss.Read more

The internal memory of the car computer is corrupt and will not allow enough data transfer and causing the computer to reboot to clear space" They suggested to replace the computer and its a out of warranty fix, since I drove 79k miles. This is a crucial of the car and it should not fail in 3 years, driving 79k in California is not unusual, Tesla service also blamed that we didn't extended our warranty after 50k. We couldn't find any correspondence from Tesla on service app or email regrading warranty extension. $3000 to replace a computer is a very high price.Read more

Dear NHTSA Vehicle Safety Team, I am submitting a safety complaint regarding my 2010 Lexus ES350 (VIN: [XXX] ) concerning a dashboard melting issue. Several years ago, Lexus issued a recall for melting dashboards, including my vehicle. At that time, I did not request a replacement. However, after the recall period ended, my dashboard began to melt. The material becomes sticky, shiny, and unsafe
... under sunlight. During daytime driving, the melted dashboard reflects sunlight onto the windshield, making it difficult and dangerous to see the road clearly. I have contacted my local Lexus dealer and Lexus corporate headquarters, but both refused assistance, citing the expired recall period. Despite this, the defect continues to exist and presents a serious safety concern. I request that NHTSA record this issue as a safety defect and consider it for further investigation. Attached are photos of my dashboard for reference. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Sincerely, [XXX] [XXX] [XXX] [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

Inability to use an advertised feature. They advertised 50Kwh CHAdeMO charging to me when I bought the car and now, they're asking me to not use it, I wouldn't accept this with anything else. Smaller dealers won't buy a car under active recall because many times they cannot sell a car under an active recall, which means I'm forced to go to a larger (probably Nissan) dealer only? Additionally, if
... I were to try to sell as a private party I wouldn't feel right selling a car under active recall and/or not disclosing there's an active recall which may affect my ability to sell or get the best price for it, especially when the recall is as serious as a FIRE RISK when using an advertised and integral feature. I am unable to recharge at home because I do not have an outlet that meets the l2 requirements. Additionally, I live in an apartment so I am unable to charge. This has caused me a mass inconvenience when trying to go to family events and other events that require long distance driving because the L2charger isn't sufficient enough for me to make to it on time to these eventsRead more
