The contact owns a 2013 Honda Accord. The contact received an NHTSA recall email alert for NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V422000 (POWER TRAIN). After contacting the dealer, who confirmed the VIN inclusion in the recall, an appointment was scheduled. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for the recall repair; however, upon inspection, the dealer determined that the driveshaft did not require replacement.
... The contact disagreed with the assessment, stating that the driveshaft was visibly corroded. The contact had taken pictures both before and after the appointment. Despite waiting at the dealer for over two hours, no work was performed on the vehicle. The contact notified the manufacturer about the decision of the dealer not to replace the driveshaft. The manufacturer opened a case and stated that a regional technician would be contacted. The contact sent photos to the manufacturer's case associate, who then communicated with both the dealer and the regional technician and confirmed the dealer's initial assessment that the driveshaft did not need to be replaced. The failure mileage was 53,456.Read more

When I put the car in park and go to turn off the car, I'm getting a "Shift to Park" error when the car is already in park. This error will not allow the car to shut off. I have to shift it back out of gear and then back to park several times before it will recognize that it's in park and allow me to turn off the car.

During a road trip at mostly highway speeds, we experienced an intermittent "sticking" sensation in the steering wheel while trying to recenter the wheel on turns, almost as if the power steering temporarily disabled, that required additional torque to turn the wheel back to center, after which the steering felt normal again until the next time it happened.

My Mazda CX90 consistently has a hard delay before jerking my car forward, especially when shifting between 2nd and 3rd gear. This is most common at slow speeds and accelerating from a stop. On top of generally rough shifting, there have been four separate instances where my car blatantly stopped accelerating and slowed my car from 70-80 mph down to 40-45 mph. Once driving up a hill, and the res
... t on a flat interstate. I tried flooring the gas each time and the rpms would go up to approx 6000, but the car simply would not respond. After multiple attempts to let off of the gas and re-engage the vehicle, my car suddenly began accelerating again and continued as if nothing happened. I have been able to safely move out of traffic's way each time, but this presents a great threat to myself and others as I have no control over my speed and can easily get into a collision. As if uncontrollable stopping on the freeway isn't enough, my vehicle also accelerates on its own and jolts itself forward when driving at slow speeds through parking lots and stand-still traffic. These accelerations have occurred at idle with the breaks both on and off. The vehicle only propels itself forward by a couple of feet, but the issue seems to be getting more severe each time it occurs. Luckily I have been able to control the car and stop myself from hitting others so far, but I am afraid this may cause harm to pedestrians or people in nearby vehicles. I have mentioned these issues to my local Mazda dealership on multiple occasions, but they dismissed my concerns each time and told me my vehicle is in safe operating conditions. They claim they have not been able to replicate any accelerating/ decelerating instances, and they say the car's shifting is within spec. My car has never thrown any codes or displayed warning lights on the dash. I have taken the vehicle in for all recalls and maintained it well. I recently hit 15000 miles, though these issues have been presenting since 5000.Read more

The central computer in my 2022 Tesla Model 3 failed unexpectedly. This is a critical component that controls essential vehicle functions, including safety alerts, battery management, regenerative braking, Autopilot features, navigation, and over-the-air updates. The failure makes the vehicle unsafe to operate. The car is only 2–3 years old, and such a major systems failure in such a short time

I believe this failure presents a serious safety risk to myself and others on the road and should be investigated.Read more

Electronic power steering is having issues. Did some research and apparently it’s some sort of torque sensor that requires a whole steering rack replacement. This is a safety concern for the driver and other drivers on the road because the steering is “sticky.” It feels like pulling magnets apart to get the steering wheel to rotate more. Sometimes sticking so bad you have to fight it to stee

Multiple models in this year had this issue only being recalled by VIN number. The steering rack has not been inspected yet by anyone, but research states this is the issue we are dealing with. The problems occurred after purchasing the car from a used car dealership. It is an expensive repair that should be recalled on all models especially for the safety of the driver and everyone else on the road.Read more

The vehicle experienced serious drive control failures on three separate dates: September 21, 2024; October 2, 2024; and July 26, 2025. On each occasion, acceleration was either severely delayed or completely unresponsive, and the vehicle rolled backward when attempting to move forward on an incline. The following warnings appeared on the dashboard: “Stability Control Disabled,” ESC (Electron
... ic Stability Control) warning light, and Air Suspension System warning. These symptoms occurred both while stationary and while driving. The vehicle was brought to Tesla service centers twice—on October 10, 2024, and September 2, 2025. On both occasions, Tesla stated that the issue could not be reproduced and returned the vehicle without performing any repairs. During the second visit, Tesla performed a $275 wheel alignment adjustment. The service report noted that the warning lights “may be restored on next drive.” I was verbally told that adjusting the alignment might help identify the root cause, but Tesla never explained how this adjustment was related to the actual symptoms. After performing the alignment, I was simply notified that the vehicle was ready for pickup. This kind of propulsion failure and rollback on inclines presents a serious safety risk to the driver, passengers, and other vehicles on the road. The issue remains unresolved and could occur again at any time without warning.Read more

This is a complaint regarding intermittent camera blindness, driver assistance failure, and dismissed diagnostics on a 2023 Tesla Model Y. These issues have impacted critical safety systems including: •Pillar and rear-view cameras •Autopilot and Traffic-Aware Cruise Control (TACC) •Park assist and visualization systems Despite multiple service visits and clear documentation, Tesla has faile
... d to diagnose or remedy the malfunction, attributing the issues to external weather factors despite my repeated statements that the problems occurred in clear conditions. The vehicle has also generated camera blocked/blinded alerts, even when the lenses were clean, and service technicians confirmed the B-pillar camera was blocked during 8.7% of the drive cycle — a serious figure given that Tesla’s driver-assist systems depend entirely on vision-based processing. The vehicle has shown alerts related to Automatic Emergency Braking being disabled, which Tesla attributed to a “false trigger.” Regardless, the vehicle may have operated without key crash-avoidance systems enabled at unknown times. I live near Santiago Canyon, a winding road I specifically raised concerns about in relation to Tesla’s camera-only system. A recent fatal crash in that same area involving a Tesla with severe post-collision fire damage has made this complaint more urgent. My concerns appear predictive and ignored. Timeline of Complaints •12/20/2023: Rear camera issues begin. •12/22/2023: Initial service request opened. •12/31/2023 – 1/4/2024: Repeated documentation of pillar camera blindness and system failures. Tesla dismisses as fogrelated. Invoice #3000S0008955083 issued (Irvine, CA). •1/4/2024: I confirm continued camera blindness after service. •1/5/2024: I formally tell Tesla I believe the issue is due to a software update and is broader than one sensor. •7/11/2024: New concerns about GPS failure and power trunk documented in invoice #3000S0010537222 (Lake Forest, CA).Read more

I leased a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe. The main failure involves the hybrid electrical system, which repeatedly malfunctions. FCA/Stellantis representatives have acknowledged there is not yet a repair for this ongoing defect. The vehicle has also failed to charge on several occasions, displaying “Service Charging System” and “Service Hybrid Electrical System” warnings. I have documentation, work orders, and photos/videos of these repeated issues. The dealer and manufacturer have been unable to repair the vehicle within a reasonable time. Warning messages such as “Service Hybrid Electrical System” first appeared within months of leasing the vehicle, and they continue to reappear unpredictably. My 2020 Genesis G70 is affected by Recall 24V-528 (high-pressure fuel pump defect). About 10 months after the recall service was marked “completed,” my car began showing DTC P0088 (Fuel Rail/System Pressure Too High), which is directly tied to the recall defect. On 8/30/25 car was hesitating when just slowly pulling out of driveway, and check engine light came on and stayed on. The car jerks a
... nd vibrates when foot is on the gas. There is now a very strong gasoline odor inside and outside the car, which was also noticed by a Genesis dealership employee when I pulled into the service garage. This raises serious fire and safety concerns. The dealer has told me the fuel pump and fuel line must be replaced. While all parts should be covered, I am currently waiting to hear from the dealership in regards to if Genesis approves/agrees to cover the costs of the repairs needed to my car. I was forced to drive 1 hour and 40 minutes to the nearest Genesis dealership on 9/3 while the car was unsafe, with my child in the vehicle at times. This was extremely dangerous. I was also initially told I would have to either drive the unsafe vehicle back home while waiting for approval or pay for a rental myself. Only after I became very upset and crying, was I given a loaner. That loaner has a 100-mile per day limit, yet I live about 100 miles away from the dealership, making it impractical. This defect is ongoing and unresolved. Genesis has not yet confirmed coverage of all related parts, and I am concerned the recall repair was inadequate. Safety Concerns: Risk of fuel leak/fire from defective pump/fuel system. Strong fuel odor indicating vapor or liquid leak. Unsafe requirement to drive long distance while defect is present. Dealer attempting to deny full repair coverage under recall.Read more

On July 17, 2025, shortly before 4am, my son's 2013 Kia Rio caught fire, while sitting in the driveway turned off, and was totally destroyed. The car was parked in the driveway at his house and there were not any warning signs before it happened. On June 10, 2024 we had the HECU fuse replaced through a recall that could cause a fire. After we had it "fixed" we had no idea that it could still cat
... ch on fire! My son could have been in the car when this happened or other structures could have caught on fire! The fire department was called to put the fire out and the car was inspected by Kia and by our insurance company. Kia does not care that we had the part replaced and that the car STILL caught on fire. They have stated that they will not do one thing about it. They didn't offer a rental car, removal of the burned car or any money to replace the car. I do not know how they get away with this especially when the fire inspector for Kia told me that they knew that changing the fuse wasn't a "fix" but it would hopefully short the fuse before a fire would start! So they knew it was still possible! Kia should not be allowed to manufacture cars!! As of the past week, Kia will not even return my phone calls.Read more
