Faulty check valve and EVAP canister/vent While fueling the vehicle, the automatic shut-off closes and will not allow it to fill the tank. This causes fuel to spill out due to backing up in the fill hose. It takes approximately 15-20 minutes to fill the vehicle because the fuel backs up, the pump clicks off prematurely, and it will not allow the fuel to flow consistently to complete fueling. When
... the gas spills out, it splashes on the person filling the tank, on the outside of the vehicle, and on the ground. This is a dangerous safety issue. NHTSA Recall Number23V905 Recall Status recall Incomplete Ford performed an interim engine repair in 2024. Due to the unavailability of parts when the recall was initiated, it took approximately 8 months for the interim engine and repair to be completed. I received my car back in August 2024 and then a supplement to the recall was placed. After getting the car back, my check engine light came on
... but Ford advised that it didn't have anything to do with the engine replacement and associated parts. Then I began experiencing symptoms of a valve purge issue and received an EVAP code. I attempted to address this at the dealership during routine maintenance but it was not checked or repaired. In January 2026, my engine failed again with similar symptoms. It was towed to the same dealership where they informed me that I was out of warranty on the engine and my new issue had to do with coolant intrusion. When I checked my service records, they had noted that a coolant hose was broken and replaced during recall repairs. Additionally there is a recall for other 2016 Ford Focus coolant intrusions caused by a heater block. This leads me to believe that the repair may have been faulty. Additionally, the 23V905 recall is still open with a supplement to the original.Read more

Since the release of V14, the Full Self-Driving (FSD) system automatically defaults to operating approximately 7 MPH above the posted speed limit. This occurs on all road types, including city streets and highways. When FSD is engaged, the vehicle sets the cruising speed above the detected speed limit without driver input. The driver cannot manually lock or command the system to remain at or below the posted limit while FSD is active. The only way to prevent speeding is to fully disengage FSD. This is not a malfunction. The vehicle is operating as designed under V14. This creates a safety concern because: 1.The system is programmed to exceed legal speed limits by default. 2.The driver does not retain meaningful authority to ensure lawful operation while automation is engaged. 3.Automatic speeding increases crash risk in construction zones, school zones, and changing speed areas. 4.Drivers may receive citations despite not intentionally selecting an unlawful speed. The vehicle experienced repeated electrical wiring harness damage in the lighting, tire and connector areas due to exposed and insufficiently protected wiring near socket terminations. On two separate service visits, authorized dealership technicians confirmed that rodents chewed through multiple exposed wires. The affected wiring involves critical electrical systems. The connectors lack adequate
... shielding, loom, or protective insulation at exposed termination points. The insulation ends before the connector, leaving conductors vulnerable to environmental exposure and rodent access. Warning indicators illuminated on the dashboard, and the vehicle required dealer repair on both occasions. The damaged wiring was inspected and confirmed by certified technicians and is available for inspection upon request. This condition presents a significant safety risk. If a rodent partially damages a wire connected to braking systems, steering systems, high-voltage components, sensors, or engine control systems, failure could occur while the vehicle is in motion. A sudden loss of power, interruption of propulsion, or malfunction of safety systems at highway speeds could increase the risk of a crash. Because this is an electric vehicle, sudden electrical interruption may result in complete loss of propulsion or charging capability. If such failure occurs in remote areas, at night, or in extreme weather conditions, occupants could be left stranded in potentially hazardous situations. This issue has occurred more than once, and no permanent preventive solution has been provided. The design appears to leave critical wiring insufficiently protected from foreseeable environmental and rodent exposure, creating an ongoing safety hazard. I request review of whether the wiring design provides adequate protection for safety-related electrical systems.Read more

Ford Customer Service told me over the phone that they are “hoping” to have the parts to fix my truck in Q3 of this year (2026). I purchased this truck as it fit my everyday needs. I often tow which made this truck a good candidate. As I understand, the truck is not currently safe to drive, and definitely not capable of towing. Not having a capable truck is unacceptable. I own a 2018 Ford F-150, with the Cougar V-8 and a turbocharger. A few years ago, while on the expressway, I had to accelerate to clear a dangerous situation. A message came up on the instrument cluster saying that I was seriously low on oil. I pulled off on the shoulder and shut the engine off. I checked the oil level and it was almost empty. The truck only had about 10,000 miles on it at the tim
... e. I had checked the level prior to leaving and it was full. Luckily, I carry extra oil on long trips, a habit I got into back when I used to drive beaters. I had enough oil to fill the engine back up with oil and proceed on my way. I have not had any oil loss since then, although I rarely drive the truck, except to pick up lumber or other large loads, and it currently has about 23,000 miles on it. A few years ago, I read about an F-150 whose driver tried to pass a slow moving vehicle on a mountain road and was hit by an oncoming vehicle. Everyone in the truck was killed. When I read that article, I thought back to what happened to me. Luckily, I had room to pull over. I believe that when I did that hard acceleration (as the driver on the mountain road must have done), a large amount of engine oil must have been sucked out through the turbocharger, emptying the crankcase. If this happened to the driver in the article, he would have been left with no engine power and no way to complete the passing maneuver. This is all speculation on my part, but an emergency hard acceleration should not empty any engine of oil, leaving the vehicle's driver and their passengers defenseless.Read more

COMPONENT: Battery and Charging System SUMMARY: 2023 Tesla Model 3 Long Range lost 15% battery capacity (345→300 miles) in 2 months at 9,816 miles. Comparison vehicle shows this is a defect, not normal wear. DESCRIPTION: Vehicle: 2023 Tesla Model 3 Long Range, VIN: [insert VIN], 9,816 miles Defect: Between September 2025 and November 2025, displayed range at 100% charge dropped from 345 miles to
... 300 miles—a 15% loss in just 2 months. Evidence This Is A Defect: I own a second 2023 Model 3 (base model) with 66,680 miles that only dropped from 272→260 miles (4.4% loss). The Long Range with 7x FEWER miles has 3x MORE degradation, indicating a battery pack defect. Service Refusal: Tesla Service ran “range analysis” but refuses to test battery capacity or check for dead cells. Only provided scripted responses about EPA vs real-world driving, which doesn’t explain why my high-mileage vehicle has healthier batteries. Safety Concern: Rapid cell degradation may indicate failing cells, thermal management defect, or fire risk. Unpredictable range loss creates stranding risk. Request: Investigate 2023 Model 3 LR battery packs for systemic defects. Require Tesla to perform cell-level diagnostics and replace defective packs. Documentation available upon request.Read more

... I should have a recall that gets my car repaired. I believe my driving conditions mimic northern salted roadway conditions. I lived in upstate NY for 39 years. I now live in Florida and drive directly on the beach sand in New Smyrna Beach. I tow a boat in and out of salt water. My car is sprayed off with my boat and trailer after every trip. I know how to fight salt. The cross member is defective. My car is a V6 and fits the parameters of the recall perfectly except I'm not living in the North. My car engine is in perfect running condition. My car is too dangerous to drive because of the faulty cross member. I am lucky I had enough sense to take it to a local garage or I could have literally been killed trying to make it 25 miles to my dealership. I was going 40 mph and coming up to a red light I put my foot on the brake and CLUNK!! IT WAS SCARY SCARY!!! I drove directly to my local garage. They examined it on the 10th. The ICCU (Integrated Charging Control Unit) failed with DTC P1A9096 and I was driving at approximately 25-30 MPH on 01/17/2026 at approximately 5:40 pm in approximately 32 degree temperature. The car had just been disconnected from a hardwired Chargepoint Home Flex 11.5 kw 48A Level 2 home charger with a NACS connecter (so no adapters used), though the charging had mainly ended at approximately 5:
... 24 am that same morning (after reaching the preset charging limit of 80% of battery capacity, I believe). That charging session provided 45.572 kWh of energy over approximately 4.5 hours and then the vehicle sat, still plugged in, for approximately 12 more hours until disconnected to drive it. After driving approximately 1-2 minutes on residential streets, I heard a muffled 'pop' sound behind the front seats, and the vehicle dashboard suddenly showed 'check electrical vehicle system' and 'stop vehicle and check power supply'. The vehicle suddenly had limited capabilities, including speed, and at that point gave a limited, unspecified, amount of time to get off of the road to safety. The vehicle is currently with a Hyundai dealer (Hyundai of 110 in Farmingdale, NY) who has since confirmed it was an ICCU failure. They are waiting on a new ICCU, which is on back order. The vehicle had been leased, new, in June of 2025 and after that, was driven approximately 9,506, miles (mostly highway) and never exhibited any sounds, warning lights, control issues, or any other indications that there was any problem or that there would be any sudden problem with the vehicle.Read more

Vehicle Information 2025 Tesla Model Y Approx. 30,000 miles Purchased new ~11 months ago Incident Description While driving at highway speed, the front trunk (frunk/hood) of my 2025 Tesla Model Y unexpectedly opened. The hood immediately flew upward, flipped backward over the windshield, and shattered the windshield. The frunk had not been opened in approximately two weeks prior to the incident
... . The vehicle had not undergone recent service or repair involving the hood or latch assembly. There were no prior warnings or alerts indicating that the frunk was unlatched or not latched properly before driving. The hood appeared fully closed prior to the trip. However, after the incident once we pulled over, a bolt was completely out of place, as shown in my video. Even if the primary latch was faulty, the secondary latch / catch should have prevented the hood from opening all the way and slamming the windshield. This failure to notify improper latching created an immediate and total obstruction of forward visibility at highway speed and posed a serious crash risk. The vehicle has approximately 30,000 miles and is less than one year old. Given Tesla’s prior recall related to hood latch detection issues, I am concerned that either: •The latch system failed mechanically, and/or •The vehicle failed to properly detect and warn of an unlatched hood. This is a significant safety event and could result in serious injury or death if it occurs in traffic.Read more

On February 11, 2026, the 2025 Tesla Model Y "Vision AutoPark" system initiated an uncommanded high-speed reverse acceleration into a stationary yellow concrete bollard in a parking lot. The vehicle's vision-only parking assist hardware failed to detect a clearly visible, fixed obstruction and displayed a clear path on the system interface immediately before impact. No warning lamps, chimes, messa
... ges, or other alerts preceded the failure. The system provided zero indication of the imminent collision. The vehicle closed the distance to the bollard in under one second, exceeding human reaction time and making manual braking intervention impossible before impact. This failure mode — autonomous acceleration toward a stationary object without detection or warning — creates a severe crush hazard for pedestrians and property. The vehicle and its onboard data logs are available for inspection upon request. High-definition video evidence of the failure has been preserved showing the system ignoring the visible obstacle. The problem has not been confirmed by a dealer. The manufacturer's service center refused to inspect the vehicle or review data logs on the date of the incident despite an immediate in-person request. The vehicle has not yet been inspected by insurance, police, or the manufacturer. The failed component is the Tesla Vision-only AutoPark system, including its camera-based object detection and autonomous vehicle control software.Read more

While driving car, I heard a "pop" sound coming from the back seat, my ICCU had failed and then there was a sudden loss vehicle power and the car went into a limp mode. The car only had 5,650 miles on it. This is a serious safety hazard. The car was towed to the dealership and a new ICCU was installed. The replacement part was the same model number that had failed. I was advised by the service adv
... iser that I could possibly experience another ICCU failure in the future.Read more
