During this part, steering was affected in that the power steering was out, and the ability to move forward was diminished because the vehicle came out of gear. I was able to put my foot briefly on the brake and then tap the car back into drive, but anytime the car slowed down and engaged regenerative braking, this process would repeat. Looking at the forums, this is a known problem. As already stated, this is the second time in less than four years that this motor has needed replacement. Additionally, Tesla is saying that this motor is did not have a warranty on it, despite the fact that it was replaced only a few years ago. In my opinion, this is a clear safety issue. Reviewing the forums, it seems as though this issue is an endemic problem associated with the Tesla Model S from a range of years between 2012-2015. It is more probable than not that the company is aware of this deficit and has chosen to do nothing about it.Read more

My ac unit switch melted due to the wires getting too hot and causing the unit to no longer work. I believe this is a safety issue due to possible fire with the wires getting burned. After doing some research this is a common issue in my car and I believe hyundai should be required to replace my unit before it causes more damage inside the unit.

On August 5, 2023, my car charge got too low for me to make it to a charging station in Lafayette Louisiana. I had the vehicle towed on a flat bed. I put the car in Tow Transportation mode. In the meantime I called my insurance company and they referred me to All State Glass for an onsite repair. They confirmed on 07/25/2023 the Honda glass had arrived and repaired the window. When the technician was installing the new glass he was shocked by the rear window defroster wire and advised that he could leave it disconnected until I could have the car inspected by the dealer. I took the car to Walnut Creek Honda on 8/8/2023 and charged for the diagnostics that indicated there was not a malfunction of that part. There is some discussion on the Web that multiple have had this problem with their 2023 Honda HRV's but Honda does not have a recall for this problem. I called them on 7/28/2023 and opened a case (#14400775). There is a concern that this can happen to my vehicle again and it does not make me feel very safe.Read more

In 2019 I had taken the car to Future Ford for a coolant problem. They stated in paper work there was no leak in the coolant but more coolant needed to be added. I had purchased a 7 year waranty on the car and a plan were they did all the service. The car was only serviced by Ford Dealer. I have just recently learned that there is an issue with the Ford 2014 Escape Eco Boost System. I am not a mechanic but from what I understand coolant goes into the engine. Maybe a head casket blows out. It then causes car to overheat. Coolant intursion present. Future Ford recomends replace engine block per Future Ford. Was told just tempory fix likely will happy again. Design flaw. Dangerous not sure when it will occur and then car undrivable. Overheats could cause fire. Should be under lemon law. Car only has 55,000 miles on it. Attached estimate of $16,000 to fix by Future Ford. Also said their was a recall on coolant in 2019 but Ford Corporate said it did not show on my Vin #. The car is not safe to drive. It has 52,000 miles on it and I have barely drove in the 4 years I've had it. I spoke to Nissan Consumer affairs and they told me to take it to the dealer for a diagnosis. The car got towed to the dealer to see if it qualifies for the Nissan extended warranty for CVT transmissions. I am afraid to drive the car now. I thought I was buying a solid car. I do know that during one of my normal service maintenance appointments I was approached by the service advisor about his concern over a suspected brake issue. He wanted to replace my entire brake system, master cylinder, vacuum pump, etc for a cost of about $1,500 as I recall. I declined the repair as I was not aware of that the problem I was experiencing was including in the recall.
