The second statement is nonsensical, since, most of the time the transmission shifts relatively fine, regardless of the driving pattern (i.e. hard, mellow, etc.) and the issue happens intermittently (every so many hundreds miles driven), at very low speeds with very little accelerator input, which indicates more of a software issue (and, possibly a mechanical design defect, coupled with the SW issue). Again, Honda has refused to properly troubleshoot and address the issue. While the Traffic-Aware Cruise Control was engaged, my car abruptly tried to stop 8 times on the interstate while traveling at 80mph (the speed limit on the open stretch of road in central Utah). The weather was clear, no clouds, no wind, very light traffic, very good roads, no debris on the road, about 85 degrees, no shadows were cast on the road and during the day. I was on a 5 hour road trip. O
... ut of the blue on at least 5 of the occasions, with a vehicle about a half mile or more ahead of me and no vehicle next to me my car abruptly braked - like emergency breaking - for no apparent reason. Two of the phantom braking occurrences happened when after passing a vehicle and I signaled and pulled back in to the right lane with at least a 3 second space, and my car emergency braked. This about caused an accident and thankfully it did not cause a road rage incident. Two of the times we were snacking once on vegetables when the car phantom braked and the bowl and vegetables went flying forward. Thankfully none of the times did I have my cup to my mouth as I would have gotten hot coffee on me and could have burned myself or have caused some destruction to my car. The passenger in my car safety was at great risk as well as everyone on the road near me. No warning that the car saw something or was going to emergency brake. My vehicle is available for inspection. I have not taken it to a dealer or elsewhere for replication nor has the vehicle or component(s) been inspected. There were never any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure. Also, the problem occurs 100% of the time I am at one particular place on a local freeway so it can be replicated. I do know that it will occur there so I plan for it. When I travel this road south bound there is never a problem but when I travel north bound 100% of the time my car will phantom brake regardless if it's day, night, clear or wet. I called the number twice during business hours 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm CST only to reach a voicemail that said they were on their lunch break. The voicemail did not give an option to leave a message. I reported this the next day via email to [XXX] . He said he would give Goodyear Claims my telephone number and email address and they would get back to me. I have not heard back from Goodyear. My insurance company has photos of the damage and paid $1,200 for the damage and I paid $200 for my co-pay to have my truck repaired. I have photos of the tire and damage that I can provide. Because I have zero faith in a tire that blew without warning with 41,800 miles on a 55,000 thread wear warranty, I purchased 4 new tires from another manufacturer. There is a significant hesitation / stuttering when the gas pedal is pressed (i.e. the vehicle doesn't move properly when the gas pedal is pressed). This is especially dangerous when pulling out into traffic, making turns, etc. This appears to be a known problem with this model and Toyota is working on a TSB (supposedly). It hasn't resulted in an accident yet, but the lag / stutter in accelerating is putting consumers at risk. WINDSHIELD CRACK. We are unsure the cause, but our vehicle is only 3 months old and overnight (while parked in our garage) the windshield mysteriously cracked. The crack started vertically, and has since moved horizontally. This does not seem to be an uncommon issue with the 2020-2023 Tellurides. October 2019, I purchased a 2019 Nissan kicks and had no issues until last December. Took the car to the dealership because it would start jerking randomly when trying to accelerate. I’ve taken my car to the dealership for this issue 6 times and each time I’m told something different. The contact owns a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that while driving 20 MPH and depressing the brake pedal to make a right turn, the front driver's side and front passenger's side air bags deployed, causing the rear windows to fall.
