On January 29, 2026 my 2023 Tesla Model Y was serviced by Tesla for windshield repair and routine maintenance. Within a week after the service visit, the vehicle began displaying a service warning message on the dashboard. I contacted Tesla and was advised to bring the vehicle back for inspection. Before I could return to the service center, while slowly reversing out of my garage, a large bolt f
... ell from the vehicle and the front left wheel assembly dropped, causing the vehicle to come to an abrupt stop. Tesla service later confirmed that a bolt from the front suspension link assembly had detached, resulting in damage to the front halfshaft, steering gear, wheel speed sensor, and other related components. The vehicle had approximately 38,000 miles at the time of failure. This appears to be a critical suspension hardware failure. If this failure had occurred at highway speed it could have resulted in loss of vehicle control and a serious accident. The vehicle had been serviced by Tesla shortly before the incident and had displayed a warning message prior to the failure.Read more

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? Glass sunroof blew outwards driving 60mph on the highway. No other vehicles were around and I did not see anything impact the vehicle. The glass was broken outwards and created an 8” by 8” hole in the sunroof glass. There was no extreme temperature differential, approx. 55 degrees outside. It ha
... s been repaired and not available for inspection. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? It sounded like a gunshot inside the truck, causing extreme distraction at highway speeds. Luckily the interior shade was closed and caught the glass, but if it was open all of the glass would have fallen on the passengers. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? No the dealership did not consider it a manufacturing defect. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? Insurance inspected the vehicle and it was covered under a glass claim. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? No indication prior to the incident at all. It happened out of nowhere.Read more

We were driving on the freeway when my son started screaming to a point we had to get over and stop to check what was going on. His arm got stuck in the forward facing belt path and he couldn’t get it out. I had to get him completely unbuckled in order to take him out of the seat sideways as otherwise I would have pulled the arm out at the shoulder.

After a curb impact, the vehicle immediately experienced a no‑start condition. The failure appears to be collision‑related electrical damage in wiring routed through the lowered‑floor mobility‑conversion area installed by BraunAbility. The vehicle was fully operational before the impact and became completely inoperable immediately afterward, with no warning lights or prior symptoms, creati
... ng a safety risk for mobility access. United Access (BraunAbility dealer) performed no diagnostic scan, no wiring inspection, and produced no documentation. They stated they could not identify the cause or access the wiring. Houston Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram produced no diagnostic findings. Their only record, a Multi‑Point Inspection, showed no codes, no scan results, and no wiring notes, and incorrectly marked the visibly damaged left front tire as “OK.” The technician who completed the MPI left shortly afterward, and no further diagnostic work was done. The General Manager, Ben Nash, confirmed in writing that no repairs were performed and the diagnostic fee was waived. United Access reported that the dealership told them there were “two shorts in the wiring harness,” but this was only a verbal statement with no documentation, scan report, or technician notes, and no facility has been able to confirm it. An independent repair facility replaced the battery, but the vehicle still would not start. They reported that the wiring is extensive and non‑standard due to the BraunAbility conversion and reached a wiring‑complexity impasse. BraunAbility stated they conducted a “thorough review,” but provided no diagnostic evidence and relied entirely on undocumented verbal statements. The precise failure point cannot be confirmed because no facility could access or trace the conversion‑zone wiring, but the sequence of events clearly indicates collision‑related electrical damage. The vehicle remains in a no‑start condition.Read more

My Tesla Model 3 was brought to Tesla Princeton Service Center on February 27, 2025 for a 12V battery replacement. During the service visit, Tesla also replaced the rear glass, citing the rear defroster as the root cause of the battery drain — a repair that was added without prior discussion and increased the total invoice from an original estimate of $180 to a final charge of $1,730. Upon picki

None of these systems showed any malfunction prior to the service visit. Tesla Princeton’s service advisor denied responsibility without performing diagnostics, and in a subsequent message admitted he could not determine the cause with certainty without diagnostics — which have still not been performed. The vehicle was discharged from a licensed Tesla Service Center in a condition non-compliant with FMVSS 111. Hello, I has problems driving my car like by brakes braking out of nowhere. There was even a couple times I felt like the car swerved, even though I did not do anything to the steering wheel. Then I found out I had a recall that said not to drive the car because it was dangerous so I parked it in my driveway and I have not driven it for many months as I’ve been getting rental cars. Eventually, I

This is apart from Chevrolet and not some knock off from China that I found for under $100 online. So I’m a little upset that I came in for a recall and they’re trying to get me to do a repair for almost $2000. They never even offered me a rental car and they’re threatening me saying that if we don’t move forward with it, they’re gonna charge me $50 a day for storage. I feel like they’re intimidating me to try to make me traded in for a new one, but I am not ready to get a new one. I just want to get my car on the road again.Read more

I am reporting a suspected defect involving the front suspension or steering system of my 2026 Tesla Model Y AWD. The vehicle produces loud popping, knocking, and rattling noises from the front end when turning the steering wheel at low speeds, particularly when the steering approaches full lock in either direction. The issue is most noticeable when entering or exiting uneven surfaces such as slo
... ped driveways or parking lot entrances where the suspension is under load. During these conditions, the front suspension produces distinct mechanical popping or knocking sounds that appear to originate from the front wheel or suspension area. The noise does not occur while driving straight. It becomes significantly more noticeable when turning left or right at low speeds and worsens as the steering approaches full lock. In addition to the noise, a noticeable mechanical jolt or feedback can be felt through the steering wheel when the popping or knocking occurs. This issue began suddenly without any warning signs. One moment the vehicle was operating normally, and the next the popping and knocking noises began. Since that time the issue has continued consistently during turning maneuvers. The vehicle has not been involved in any collision and has been driven under normal conditions. Numerous other 2026 Tesla Model Y owners have reported similar front suspension symptoms, suggesting this may represent a broader pattern of potential suspension or steering component issues. Because the noise and feedback occur through the steering system while the suspension is under load, this raises concern that a suspension or steering component may be shifting, binding, or prematurely wearing. This condition raises safety concerns because abnormal movement or failure of steering or suspension components could affect vehicle control during turning or emergency maneuvers. I request that this issue be investigated for a possible defect trend affecting Tesla Model Y vehicles.Read more

RECALL OMISSION & SAFETY DISPUTE (Case #10683843): I am reporting two documented safety defects in my 2008 BMW 328i (N51 engine) that are identical to existing Federal Safety Recalls but have been omitted from the recall VIN list for this model year. 1. AIRBAG SYSTEM FAILURE (Recall 17V-428): The vehicle has a confirmed Fault Code 93C3 (Passenger Seat Occupancy Mat). This is the exact failure mo
... de described in Recall 17V-428. This defect has deactivated the front passenger airbag system, as indicated by the red SRS warning light. The manufacturer has refused to address this as a safety recall, despite the component failing in the identical manner described in the 2006 model year recall. This creates an immediate risk of injury or death to front-seat passengers in the event of a crash. 2. ENGINE STALL RISK (Recall 23V-707): This vehicle utilizes the same aluminum VANOS housing bolts that are currently under Safety Recall 23V-707 for 2010–2012 models. These bolts are known to loosen and shear, causing sudden engine stalling while in motion. Despite the high risk of a high-speed stall and loss of power steering/braking, the manufacturer is excluding 2008 models from the recall remedy. DEALER/MANUFACTURER RESPONSE: The vehicle was inspected by a dealer in October 2024 (Invoice #156201), but the safety warning light was not documented on the repair order. A subsequent formal request for assistance (Case #10683843) was denied verbally by the manufacturer's regional management, who stated the vehicle is excluded from the recall based on its VIN, regardless of the active safety system failure. I am requesting a formal investigation into this Recall Omission to ensure these safety-critical repairs are provided to all affected vehicles.Read more

on 1/31/26 I replaced battery that was only a little over a year old. on 2/1/26 while driving myself and 2 of my kids to there grandparents we lost power and lights on dash started flickering. I was able to pull over the side barely. I was told by family after explaing what happend that it could be related to the recall. I called Larry H Miller Hyundai Albuquerque and they verified the recall and
... we set up appointment for 2/5/26. I was able to tow vehicle to the dealership on 2/3/26. I received a call later that day from Martin on why my vehicle was there I explained the issue of loss of power and lights and door locks flickering and I believed it to be related to the recall. I received a text/email with the dealership making recommedations. I refuse them as they were not urgent and not why my vehicle was there. I received a text message 2/4/26 that my vehicle was ready to be picked up and they had ordered the recall parts and was a week out but I was able to pick up. I called mutiple times for 2 weeks to find out more and was never called back. on 2/14/26 I drove to the dealer ship to find out what was going on. I was told they still were waiting for part and when I asked what part they ordered and why I never got a call back I was only told they ordered a "valve kit" which Martin had to call the parts dept becuse my vehicle was not in there current service since they were waiting on parts. I asked what about the alternator and they said since I denied any repairs out side of the recall and the battery was an item I declined they did not test the alternator. I asked why they could not charge it as I expressed to them several times it was a new battery. they never answered me. but they told be they had to charge it to get it in to look at it. I said well doesn't that mean the alternator is bad and it needs to be replaced under the recall. after going back and fourth I ended up taking my vehicle and ended up agian on the side of the road with my daughter.Read more

multitude of electrical problems: Fuel/Propulsion System, Lighting, and body controls along with all ADAS: Adaptive Cruise Control, Automatic Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Warning, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keeping Assistance systems are impacted by random intermittent glitching as computer screen bubbling progressed with goo leaking out of the bottom of the main comp
... uter. Most recent symptom was disabling of ALL ADAS systems along with automatic high beam headlight switching. Long ago as screen began to bubble and express fluid the low windshield washer alert came on and remains even when the tank is full. Then the charge port responsiveness degraded and stopped automatically functioning requiring user to bypass by clicking the "open charge port", then waiting 3 seconds, then tapping "unlock charge port". User must perform this as remote manual operation from a NACS charging handle button push will FAIL. Long ago the computer controlled 'home link' module would have excessive time delays on the order of hours or days from when the user would program and or operate the function. I even had a "phanthom" car appear by the computer calculations with E-Braking before the ADAS system failed fully, a 1.0 Tesla system should not have that... Windows have randomly rolled down and the driver side rear door will unlock and open on its own as the door handles present themselves. My wife was driving our Tesla Model Y when she suddenly became very lightheaded, headache and had trouble breathing. She also noticed a strong chemical smell coming from inside the cabin. She rolled down the windows and the smell started going away immediately and she began to feel better. She felt it was unsafe to continue driving so she pulled over and we had the car towed to a Tesla service cen
... ter. Tesla inspected the vehicle and confirmed there was an unpleasant smell coming from the air conditioning system. They cleaned the evaporator with foam cleaner and replaced the cabin air and HEPA filters. They told us there were no leaks and considered the issue resolved. We do not believe this fully explains what happened. A dirty evaporator or old cabin filter does not cause someone to become lightheaded and struggle to breathe while driving. The chemical smell and physical symptoms our wife experienced point to something more serious that was never identified. The HVAC system and evaporator are available for further inspection. No warning lights appeared before or during the incident. Safety risk: The driver became lightheaded and had difficulty breathing while operating the vehicle, making it unsafe to drive and requiring the vehicle to be towed.Read more

I am reporting two severe 'phantom braking' incidents involving my Tesla vehicle while driving without autopilot. In both instances, the vehicle initiated hard emergency braking on a high-speed roadway with no obstacles, pedestrians, or vehicles in my path. This sudden, uncommanded deceleration created an immediate risk of a rear-end collision from following traffic. Incident 1: November 2025 a
... t approximately [XXX]. I was traveling at 30 mph on [XXX] . The car suddenly braked to 0 mph. Weather was sunny, and the road was straight. There were several vehicles following behind me. Incident 2: [XXX], at approximately [XXX]. Location: [XXX], Honolulu. The vehicle decelerated from 10mph to 0 mph without warning. In both cases, the car stopped suddenly and was placed in Park. I had to put the car in drive to resume driving. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more
