There has been multiple incidents the first time the car started jumping and smoking on 12/7/2022 I had it put in the shop and they said it was 2 oxygen sensors and crank position sensor after that repair the ac goes out completely. So it drove fine for a couple months then started jumping in middle of interstate again and check engine light came on so I pull off interstate before I got hit it dr
... opped speed and wanted to keep shutting off didn't want to pick up speed so got it checked out again they changed out spark plugs, air filter and catalytic converter also not to mention tow bill. Then thinking everything should be took care of after that no for the third time after being exhausted of repairs on a over paid car I was on interstate again on 11/21/2023 I was going 65mph when all of a sudden my battery light, ! Light came on and service engine light all lights started flashing so I barely made it off interstate when my car started jumping so I pull over and steering was getting hard to turn as the car shuts off and leaves me stranded once again with a towing bill and another shop they replaced the alternator, ignition coil, fuel pump, spark plugs again, bolt flang, fuel pressure sensor, cop coil, high pressure sensor, battery. It's been costly and for how long before something happens again for a car that I'm paying twice the amount it's worth.Read more

My service abs light comes on and off, which makes cruise control inoperable and rear park sensors inoperable. I purchased a brand new 2017 Ford Titanium 2.0L Ecoboost from a Ford dealership. I also had the maintenance service so every service was done by the dealership. Due to the Covid pandemic, I had not driven the car much so it only has 39,777 miles on it. On the evening of Nov 9th, 2023, I noticed the car sputtering a bit when pressing on the gas while on my way home and the engine light briefly came
... on and then went away. The next morning, on the way into work, it was much worse and the car started to shake randomly while driving it and didn't always respond to pressing the gas pedal. The engine light came on and stayed on. It was less than 6 miles to the dealership so I took it straight there where it still remains. After a week, I got word (17th) that coolant has leaked into cylinder 2 and that I would need to replace the long block and some other items for a total of $7,641.17. They are filing something called a "GCCT" where they approach Ford with the issue and ask for them to cover the replacement but told me Ford hasn't been helping customers. I'm very upset that I spent nearly $40,000 on a top of the line Ford Escape, have put only 39,777 miles on it, done every single service at the dealership, and less than one year after my powertrain warranty and extended service are up, I have coolant leaking into my cylinders causing major vibrations and power loss. After some research, it appears this is known issue with the engines going back to the 1.5L Ecoboost. It appears there is a known fault in the manufacturing of the engine design and Ford is not taking responsibility for ALL of those engines. The 1.5L engines seems to have reached some sort of settlement. It appears the 2.0L engine needs to be addressed. The car is no longer safe to drive until the $7,641 repair, and even then, no guarantee that the same issue won't happen again in the future while driving 65 down the freeway.Read more

I went to get the Takata recall done. I made an appointment at the dealer, and I showed up. After spending several hours of my day, the dealer told me the airbag was on back order and they even asked me if I actually want to get it done. The dealer informed me my dash would be broken after they finished the job. I told them the airbag is dangerous and it needed to get done. They told me they wou
... ld order it and call me when it arrived and that has never happened. I called the NHTSA hot line and there was no service. The fact is this should have been recalled on November 15, 2015, but the NHTSA let GM postpone the recall endangering the public for over 7 years. The fact is the NHTSA covers for GM like they did with the ignition switch, the GMT800 Brake lines and a bunch of other situations. The NHTSA reports are also full of lies and misinformation. I don’t blame GM for not doing the recall because they never planned on it. I blame the NHTSA for covering for them and helping companies like GM in hiding defects. Now even if I get the recall done the vehicle will have one of the squibs disconnected because that is part of the GM recall instructions. They actually tell the technician to cut 1/2 of the airbag wires. The fact is this will make the air bag weaker.Read more

I experienced a sudden unintended acceleration while parking the car in my home garage, something I have done thousands of times with no difficulty. Then, I lifted my foot off the brake in order to start moving forwards again, at which time the car suddenly accelerated like crazy through the remaining 12 ft of space, smashing the cabinetry through the rear wall of the garage. The car, my garage, and laundry room were severely damaged. I complained to Tesla about this vehicle problem, but they just say there are no problems with the car, and it must be the driver’s fault. They are implying that I floored the accelerator, which is nonsense. I have been driving for more than 40 years, and I do not floor the accelerator while parking in my home garage. This type of sudden unintended acceleration is a danger to public safety, and this matter has to be thoroughly investigated, and a solution has to be found to fix the problem.Read more
