September 22, 2023 recall notice. Told to park outside. Four months later, there has been no remedy. This is too long to require owners to park cars outside due to fire hazard. How is replacing a fuse going to help with the brake fluid leak? And if it just a fuse replacement, then why has not that not happened? I seek an immediate resolution to this recall notice.

On 1/13/2024 driving at around 35 mph truck stalls with no waring light displayed on dash and no indication of anything being wrong prior to stalling. Started my car and had no steering with no warning. Thank God I wasn’t driving the car when this happened. Spoke with Ford Dealership and they knew exactly what the issue was. They said it was a malfunction of the rack and pinion steering which they said was common on the 2013 Ford Escape. Cost for Ford Dealership to repair was $2,700.

When the vehicle was approximately 6 months old with approximately 5,000 miles (it only has approximately 6,200 miles now) I noticed an issue with the steering tending to "stick." At first it was subtle, like the steering was trying to follow a groove in the road surface, but it has become more pronounced with time. It is most noticeable when the steering is nearly centered and at highway speeds.
... The steering takes a "set" in a direction and you must overcome some slight resistance to correct. This constant "set and correct" is annoying and could pose a risk if the driver overcorrects, especially if the road surface is slippery. This sudden loss of steering functionality is a serious safety concern and could potentially lead to accidents and injuries. 2. False Forward Collision Warnings: The car's forward collision warning system has been providing false warnings, which has had a negative impact on my insurance premiums. Despite the fact that my insurance company is aware of the issue and acknowledges that it is a system failure, they have been automatically increasing my insurance rates on the leased vehicle. This has resulted in a significant financial burden, with my insurance premium increasing from $120 to almost $400 per month. Furthermore, I have been informed that next month, my premium will be raised to $600. I would like to emphasize that I have a clean driving record with no previous accidents or traffic violations. 3. Slow Charging Speed: Another issue I have encountered is the extremely slow charging speed of the vehicle. Despite the fact that the Tesla Model 3 is rated at 160 kW/h, it consistently charges at a maximum rate of 50 kW/h, regardless of the charging location or time. Car started with a light vibration and after driving for a few feet would no longer accelerate when pressing the gas. For the first few days it would violently jolt like if someone hit me before gaining speed, but when i hit the brake it lags to accelerate. Now the fastest it goes it 20mph. The steering system is electronically controlled and the failure of the system puts the occupants of the vehicle as risk of injury in the event the system failed and you need to move out of the way in an emergency or if I was not able to control the vehicle. The steering rack will be returned as part of the core charge for the replacement of the unit. Ford customer care told me this was a safety notice but is not a recall and it expired 10 yr after the warranty and vehicle over 150,000 miles. This should not be a notice but a recall as it seems there are a lot of failures. I should not have to pay money for something that is a known issue by the manufacture. They said they had to redo my appointment for me over the phone because I didn’t put it under the recall appointments and they didn’t include anything about the recall in it . Second occurrence of this issue approximately two years apart, unresolved and unaddressed by manufacturer. Driving during evening on lit city street at night traveling in lane of traffic. In normal course of driving (~25 mph) vehicle applied full brakes with no advance notice in the middle of road. Forward Collision Assist had been activated by what appeared to be a patch of ice on the road ahead.

His apartment is about 20 mins from the dealership so when he returned his car had 100 miles from only driving the vehicle to and from the dealership those four trips. Oscar in service dept said he needed to leave the car over weekend and they would check it Tuesday [XXX] since that was a holiday weekend, and Oscar gave [XXX] a loan car. Oscar texted my son on [XXX] saying his car had a defective air bag module and that module was causing all the trouble lights to appear on his dashboard, and they could not fix it until 30 days because they had to order part from Sweden. Oscar also said they had to keep the vehicle and it could not be driven until that part was fixed because of all the trouble lights in dash and he wanted to make sure the car would be ok when my son starts to drive it again. I don’t like the fact that the dealer has my son’s car we traded in and they have my full payment of the remaining balance after my trade in was applied to balance of car. I was driving my daughter to school on the freeway when we heard a loud bang toward the back of the vehicle and the vehicle alarms started going off. It said the car was powering down and would not restart. I was able to take a picture of some of the error messages on the screen quickly before it died. VCFRONT a191 Electrical system power reduced vehicle shutting down, VCFRONT 192 Electrical System is unable to support all features switching off features to conserve energy, BMSa 059 Vehicle May not restart, BMS a170 acceleration and top speed reduced, HVP w028 Vehicle May not restart. There was no visible damage to the outside or undercarriage of the car. At the dealership when I had the car towed there I was specifically asked if I had washed the car or gotten it wet, which I had not. It has been a week and I have not had a response from Tesla as to the cause of this terrifying event. I have only been told that it has been escalated to the “higher ups” and they are still diagnosing the problem and will not tell me what defect they have found in the car or any date as to when they might have answers. The life and safety of myself and my child were put in danger due to this total shut down of my car on the freeway. Thankfully I was able to safely navigate to the side of the freeway at reduced speed but I do not want this to happen to anyone else. We intermittantly received alerts on the screen showing "Front safety restraint system fault (service is required)." After many hours of research, we found that other owners also have the same issue and they found that a wire from a electrical connector that connected to the seatbelt pretentension was broken from the seat being moved up and down.

I hit a rock at approximately 35 mph that got projected under my car and caused a bad leak in the battery coolant system. Received a low coolant warning about one minute after the incident. The alert indicated that the car was safe to drive but to schedule service asap. Tesla instructed me to drive to the local SC that is 15 min away when though enough coolant had leaked to render the user display
... black. I had no turn signals, no speedometer, nothing except the ability to move the car. Tesla alerted me the next day that the damaged occurred at a poorly protected point where the coolant lines connect to the HV battery and that the battery with less than 20K miles needs to be replaced. As a result, they discharged the energy from the battery to avoid a “thermal event”. In doing some research, I discovered a number of documented cases of similar failure due to the fact that a plastic part is used to protect this critical area and is known to break and not offer ample protection to the coolant lines and front drive system. I’m very concerned that had this occurred on the highway and I continued to drive that a “thermal event” would occur and put me in grave danger of a vehicle fire. This area is too critical for proper vehicle operation and safety around high voltage components to use plastic parts to protect them. I also discovered that earlier model Model 3s used a heavy cloth for this role before changing to the plastic version.Read more

DEALER IS NOW LOOKING THAT THE VEHICLE IS NO LONGER UNWARRANTY AND IS CHARGING $14,999 TO REPLACE THE FAULTY EME WHICH HAS BEEN UNDER A SERVICE ACTION REPORT SINCE MAY 2019. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN TAKEN TO THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT FOR SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE SINCE 2019 WHILE IT WAS UNDER WARRANTY IN 2019, 2020, 2021 AND PART OF 2022. SERVICE DEPARTMENT IGNORED THE SERVICE ACTION REPORT DURING THOSE THREE AND HALF YEARS TO REPLACE THE FAULTY EME WHICH NOW FAILED. THIS FAULTY COMPONENT SHOULD BE RECALLED SINCE A COMPLETE SHUTDOWN OF POWER POSES A VERY SERIOUS DANGER TO OTHERS AND OURSELVES. -NO WARNING, NO MESSAGES COMMENT: According to a technical service bulletin issued by BMW, there was a production fault on a printed circuit board of the electrical machine electronics (EME) in some F15 PHEV (X5 xDrive40e) models produced from August 11, 2015 to March 14, 2018.It is recommended to replace the electrical machine electronics (EME) to avoid any potential safety issues. However, BMW Service Department at Guaynabo Puerto Rico has not complied since my vehicle has been at the Service Dept for the past 4 yrs for scheduled maintenance. If they would have replaced the faulty EME I would not had this mishap. Please implement a Recall since this Service Department has not complied with this Service Action Report.Read more

I was driving in morning traffic at 65MPH when the warning lights went flashing stating the HEV Electric engine was shutting down, I was crawling to 20 MPH. I cannot afford a new engine! This is the second Kia I had this problem! They said it passed the bearing test, so why is my engine bone dry? This is dangerous to be driving at high speed and have your car drop speed to 20MPH, then drop to 10MPH. I'm still waiting for Kia to get back to me, the dealer says it takes 48 business hours. I dropped it off Thursday 1/11/2024, Hopefully, tomorrow I will find out. I cannot afford a new car and I still have a balance on this car. ... y son was admitted to the hospital for 4 days. I am not sure if TESLA inspected it, they are not answering my questions. There was no warning or there were no symptoms of the problem before the failure. This is what happened, I was driving on FSD beta on a 2-way street with one lane in both directions, The car suddenly drifted, crossed the opposite lane, went over the sidewalk, and hit a tree. The airbags were released, and the front of the car was destroyed. The speed limit on the road was 25, and as it was in FSD mode, the speed was locked in at 25 mph. I was driving with my son, and my son got a lot of bruises internal and external from the seat belt, I had some bruises on my forehead. This is a complete failure of Tesla's FSD capability because it didn't detect the tree or the sidewalk and failed to apply the brakes. The car was declared a total loss by the insurance company.
