I show the dealership the videos I’ve recorded showing the issue but does not occur by the time the technicians test drive it. When it first happened, because it was so dangerous losing many controls, I also opened a case with American Honda customer relations ( #[XXX]) with “Jose” who noted the details but there was no response or followup because I was two months over warranty despite low mileage and simply out of luck. He said ask the dealership for “good will assistance” and you should get the majority of it covered probably bring it down to around $300 a replacement center stack touchscreen rather than over $2,000. My car failed PA State inspection due to a hole and rusted rear subframe. I have determined that there is a recall associated with this issue but that my vehicle just missed the recall limit. Please review and consider having this included in the recall process so that I can be reimbursed for this costly repair as it is the result of a faulty construction process. Thank you. My wife and I bought a brand-new 2023 Ford Bronco Sport Outer Banks edition in Jully of 2023. After about a month of ownership and less than 1000 miles, we noticed when we would press the accelerator, the vehicle would take 5-6 seconds to react to the accelerator. When it finally did, the car would rev up to about 6000rpm and lurch forward. We took it to the dealer and they assured us there was no
... thing wrong and just reset the car's computer. A month or so later we noticed the same issue with acceleration, but this time the car also completely stalled. This happened to my wife multiple times in the middle of a busy intersection. We brought the car back to the dealership and they stated the engine was misfiring and replaced a sparkplug. They returned the vehicle again to us with their assurances we wouldn't have any more problems. We drove it for about 30 minutes before the vehicle stalled again in the middle of a busy intersection. At this point we had the dealership come and tow away the vehicle. After some time, they finally told us the entire engine had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle we were constantly assured was alright had an engine failure at less than 3000 miles and put my wife and I in potential dangerous situations multiple times.Read more

The 'active fuel management/displacement on demand' lifters failed and caused the engine to run very poorly with a significant lack of power. This occurred while driving and could have caused a crash before I was able to get off the road and out of the way of traffic. The problem was diagnosed and confirmed by an independent repair shop. The vehicle had to have the camshaft and all valve lifters
... replaced, as well as several valves that were damaged in the failure. The total cost to repair was just over $9000. The failure also caused the catalytic converters to become clogged, resulting in even further loss of power from the engine. There were no warning lamps or symptoms prior to the failure. It occurred suddenly as I was driving down the road. Searching online reveals this seems to be a common problem with GM 5.3 and 6.2l engines from 2010 onward. GM is aware of the issues and refuses to assist in any way. Their only response is that the vehicle is "Out of warranty". The failure is caused by a design defect in the AFM/DOD system that starves the lifters of oil, resulting in lifter failure and damage to the camshaft and valves.Read more

This complaint is about difficulties with the horn sensor on the steering yoke under emergency situations. After 14 months of driving the car, I have these safety issues: 1) The horn sensor is difficult to find in emergency situations. It is a single, small area located farthest away from the right-hand rest position and touching it requires a long stretch with the thumb. When turning, it is easy
... to lose the orientation of the yoke and nearly impossible to find the horn sensor. (See #5 in the attached image). 2) The horn sensor is near the cruise-control button ("right scroll button"). The cruise-control button is raised and I have accidentally engaged the cruise-control on multiple occasions when trying to reach for the horn sensor. I would lift off the accelerator, expecting to slow down, but imagine my panic when the car speeds-up due to the accidentally engaged cruise-control. (See #8 in the attached image). 3) The horn sensor does not work when wearing regular gloves. None of the steering yoke sensors with gloves. You have to wear special touch-senstive gloves. 4) The steering yoke airbag is NOT a horn button. All of my previous cars since 2000 had airbag horns. This is a hard habit to break. I urge the NHTSA to recall the steering yoke and make the airbag a physical horn button. This would alleviate the four safety issues above. Thank you.Read more

Something occurred with the steering, automatic braking, or lane keeping assistance on [XXX] at approximately 6:35am while I was driving my 2022 Tesla Model 3 Long Range North in the carpool lane just south of [XXX] in Sandy Utah. The roads were a little slick so was proceeding cautiously at around 65 MPH when the car turned to the left slightly, then immediately to the right, which caused it to d
... o a 180 degree turn in the same lane, I wasn't sure what was going on as the car felt like it was driving itself. Before I knew what was happening, the car then veered to the East across three lanes of traffic while driving backwards, it then stopped just as it was struck in front of the wheel on the front drivers side by a two trailer semi-truck which spun the car around. Luckily I was conscious so could slowly limp across the last couple lanes to the right side of the road where I called 911. I've driven all kinds of cars in all kinds of conditions and in many countries in the nearly 32 years I've been a licensed driver and have never lost control of a vehicle, I'm sure the steering or lane assist was trying to intervene so must've somehow inadvertently caused the crash! It's only through the grace of [XXX] that I'm still alive to tell about it! Also, none of the airbags went off even though the impact from the semi was very jarring!
