When on Autopilot, the car engages in "ghost braking" for no valid reason. This has happened a couple of time. The last incidence happened today, 02/16/2024, at about 10:38 a.m. while on a freeway. I was lucky that there was no cars immediately following me, otherwise a chain accident with pile up would had happened. This was a very risky and scary incident.

Unfortunately, the 2017 Model X is on a different update schedule, as it has different computer and sensor systems than newer Model X's. My software version is from 2022. I've purchased 8 tires during this time &have replaced all the broken lugnuts ea time. The lugnuts all snapped completely in 1/2 when my tires came off. I've been towed ea time and have endangered the life of others as well as my own & now I do not drive long distances & try to avoid going over 45 miles/hrs in fear of this happening again. As a result of loosing my tires while driving on interstate, I've replace right hub assembly 2 times &eft one time in last 2 years. On the electrical, tire, wheels, head lights & bulb replacements and repairs I have spent thousands .I was excited about getting my 1st dodge, but the dangerous, expensive, and horrible experience from my dodge has not only limited my driving to daytime hours on roads no more than 45 mph,, it's put fear in me to drive &purchase another! My 2019 Acura RDX was parked at Sam's Club for less than hour. After I put items in the car I closed the driver's side door and the rear windshield shattered. The camera was worked was worked on due to the wiper going on even when not raining on October 24 but the fix did not work. Once at the Emergency room, trying to call tesla or texting the no that responds when buying the car no longer accepting my text. The promise that when we get car accident, Tesla will call - no phone calls. All I received was text alert car suffered failure and was deactivated. I was in pain and not able to follow up and try to do report and look at pictures.. Today I just received a letter dated 2/8/2024 about Recall no 23V-838 in the mail. BUT the car is gone...
