Upon accelerating from 35 to 55 the engine quit but I was able to pull off the highway onto the shoulder. Vehicle was towed to a local KIA dealer. I was notified today 5/4/24 that the engine had seized up, and they were contacting the manufacture in regards to complete engine replacement. Waiting on results. Vehicle has approximate 133,500 miles. Mileage was 130,265 when purchase from a dealer.

Has been alarming to me as in several occasions vehicles have been driving against me and being afraid of a “T-bone collision”. On [XXX] I brought the car for selective Oil & Filter change (my choice) and to address such problem but Tony Vrenna informed me that the issue had to be addressed by “GENESIS DIAGNOSTICS” and I was given the Telephone Number to call and make an appointment. George, from Rick Case Genesis (Broward County, Florida), was the person taking care of such call and he did give me an appt for [XXX] and to bring the car to SERVICE (again) and talk to Tony Vrenna that day. The car was left overnight at Rick Case and checked but George could not document the problem himself and the car was returned to me. I was not advised about any further check regarding this problem as "there are no recalls thus far". I did then report the problem once to Genesis after being invited to a survey but no eventual call back or response thus far. The problem has continued to occur in occasional instances. I have not reported the problem to the police or to insurance representatives. I have not seen any warning lamps, messages or other accompanying symptoms or signs of the problem prior, during, or after the failure. It makes sense that the fuel pump failure previously recalled in multiple Genesis 2022 and 2023 model years might presumably be the cause. The "auto" setting of the windshield wipers does not work 90% of the time. It cannot sense rain properly. My grandmother's 2002 Lexus had better rain-sensing wipers than my 2023 Tesla. Upon taking receipt of my vehicle, I noticed that the icons did not appear different. Rear window leaks badly, when raining causes the interior to fog up making it difficult to see. Turning on A/C clears most the fog, but the rear window is still not clear enough to see what's behind or on the sides when making lane changes. ... em! I'm not sure how a four year old car, just out of 3 year warranty by a year, is needing all this excessive amount of work. Just this last year EVERYTHING with the suspension and tires were completely normal and healthy! Within that year only putting 10k miles on it, never been off roading or drive crazy- we both have a great driving record. So, all of this is absolutely sudden and worried for our safety. The car has NEVER notified us of low tire pressure at anytime, ever. Having the Honda service center telling us the tires have "adnormal wear pattern of tires" (all of which is, inner wear). Not allowing us to get the normal tire rotation due to that and the tread depth measure was unevenly worn. Just a reminder, not one of the sensors have NEVER alerted us- other than due for oil change. We went in thinking oil change and most safety recall repair would be it. Then being told 4 tires $1,000 and front control arm replacement $561 (not including service charge) is NEEDED! Bridgestone tires P245/60/R18, is the brand we currently have and need to replace immediately. I have all receipts from previous oil changes (Honda dealership in Charleston sc- where we bought the car from) and multi-point inspections, seeing as this is sudden and very dangerous to not only us but to the cars around. Front motor of 3-week-old Tesla Model Y became disabled while driving on a highway at 65 mph. This meant the car also lost power steering, traction control, and ABS braking. Car was limited to top speed of around 40 mph on a busy highway with very little room to pull over. Car was difficult to steer and braking was greatly reduced. There was no advanced warning of this. ... ver, exit and reenter the vehicle, which temporarily corrected the problem. However, when the car was started the next day, the front motor was disabled again, but resolved when the car was restarted. The car was not driven again until Tesla service center was contacted and car was taken in for repair. On the way to the service center, the issue occurred again. The alerts included “Front motor disabled - OK to drive. Vehicle power may be limited” The vehicle is not safe to drive since this is happening while traveling at high speeds. Tesla service has not addressed the issue or tried to diagnose the cause yet in spite of the car being at their service center for over a week.Read more
