No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was not damaged. No injuries were sustained. A police report was filed. We are VERY concerned that we have a 2000 mile trip to take at the end of August when we will temporarily relocate for me to attend graduate school. June 14-15, 24 I was driving down the road when all of a sudden it felt like I hit something hard with the passenger front side of my truck. I knew there was nothing anywhere in the road other than potholes, so I was very shocked and worried of what it was. I had a mechanic, body shop and several very experienced people look at it and have spoken with my insurance company and sent photos, but all are saying this is a serious life threatening Toyota issue where there were recalls and class action suits and they should be held accountable because they know there is a problem. Carfax didn’t show any issues and there were no apparent issues that stood out when I purchased the truck in Oct 2023. I still owe a lot on it and can’t drive it due to this issue. My mom spoke with a lady at Toyota who agreed that this never should’ve happened and that they would work with us to remedy the problem. Then she was transferred to another dept and then another dept and eventually told that Toyota has no open campaigns, the vehicle is out of warranty due to age and miles. No pictures were asked for even though they were offered as this is a serious safety problem that they know about. I was unaware at the time of purchase of this serous problem, but now that I’ve done a lot of research, I see that many have had similar incidents and luckily lived to write about it. Will the next one be so lucky? All I want is for Toyota to repair the vehicle. Toyota did tell my mom that a recall in 2016 had a rust plate/guard placed on the truck. It failed to work! He could not stop the vehicle and had to pass our neighborhood and let the vehicle slow itself down. He was able to get stopped and turned around and made it home. I had the vehicle towed to a repair shop and they found that the vacuum system for the brakes went out. He also noticed that cam shaft was cracked. Upon research through the internet I found that this problem is common and a class action suit has been filed against GM for the same problem. I am unsure why this is not a recall as its a safety issue and my son could have been injured or injured someone else. This has been an EXTREMELY expensive repair for us! When they went to replace the cam shaft there were several parts of the cam shaft just blown all over the engine. We still have not found all of the missing parts. This has caused most of the seals to have to be replaced as well. We stopped for lunch in Yuma AZ for like an hour. Outside temperature was like 109. No issues when we continued on toward glia Bend AZ. We stopped in Gila Bend AZ for a quick break. My safety was put at risk on my last quarter of my drive between Gila Bend AZ to my Home in Mesa AZ. I could no longer rely on the lane departure, Intelligent Lane Intervention and Blind Spot detection/intervention etc... We took our 2023 Infinity QX60 to Coulter Infinity Mesa to have the vehicle checked out on 8/3/24. No issue found. I even notified them that After understanding that the air was due to the cabin temperature, that I set my side of the vehicle to the LO setting which is 60 degrees. My wife already had her side of the car to like 68 degrees. When we got home I opened the hood almost immediately to check (feel) the AC units lines. They were both the same temperature as the outdoor air. Like 110. The front triple camera glass was found to be dirty on the interior part of the glass. However, Honda has not extended their warranty for these parts and this would be an out of pocket cost. Honda needs to own up to their faulty AC system used in this generation of Honda civics and extend the warranty to all involved parts or issue a recall and properly fix the system so it isn’t failing every 18 months.Read more

Smelled gasoline while driving but not sure of source. 10 min into drive fumes were very strong and then all light came on and engine shut down. A fire safety vehicle noticed fuel pouring out from under the vehicle. Because of the fuel spill the police came and called a tow truck. The car was towed to Firestone where they determined that the fuel line on top of gas tank was spilling fuel. I notic
