SUBJECT IS MY AND OTHERS 2007 SUZUKI BOULEVARD 109 MOTORCYCLE, 2ND GEAR DEFECT/FAILURE.I WENT ON THE WEBSITE OF M109RIDERS.COM AND DISCOVERED THAT THERE ARE SEVERAL OF THE SAME CASES AROUND THE COUNTRY AND ALL OF THEM ARE OF THE 2ND GEAR JUMPING OUT INTO THE NEUTRAL POSITION, WHICH I HOPE DOESN'T RESULT IN SOME ONE GETTING KILLED OR SERIOUSLY HURT. NOT TOO FAR FROM WHERE I LIVE,THERE IS A SUZUKI

DEALERSHIP THAT HAS SEEN 7 OF THE SAME CASES OF WHAT I'M EXPERIENCING COME INTO THERE DEALERSHIP AND THE MECHANIC SAYS HIMSELF THAT SUZUKI IS REFUSING TO DO A RECALL IN FEAR OF HURTING THEIR FUTURE SALES OF THIS NEW MODEL BECAUSE OF THE 2ND GEAR DEFECTIVE/ FAILURE . I'VE PUT A FORUM ON M109RIDERS.COM ASKING IF ANY ONE ELSE WAS EXPERIENCING THE SAME THING I HAVE BEEN AND I RECEIVED AN OVER WHELMING OF EMAILS AND PHONE CALLS OF ANGRY AND LIVID MOTORCYCLE OWNERS OF THIS PARTICULAR MOTORCYCLE. I'VE RECEIVED CALLS FROM ALL OVER THE COUNTRY ABOUT THE 2ND GEAR JUMPING OUT OF GEAR THEN INTO NEUTRAL POSITION ON THIS MOTORCYCLE, WHICH IS VERY DANGEROUS FOR ANY ONE THAT EXPERIENCE THIS. THE BOULEVARD 109 FROM THE YEARS, 2006 1ST MODEL TO 2009 IS WHERE THE PROBLEM IS COMING FROM AND I'M ALSO BEING TOLD THAT SUZUKI IS WITH HOLDING THE RELEASE OF THE 2010 MODEL BECAUSE OF THIS VERY PROBLEM. I HOPE THAT SUZUKI WILL DO THE MOST RESPONSIBLE THING, WHICH IS RECALL, THESE MOTORCYCLES BEFORE SOME ONE GETS HURT OR EVEN WORST KILLED. THE FRONT PASSENGER WEIGHT SENSOR FOR THE SRS AIRBAG SYSTEM HAD BEEN INTERMITTENTLY GOING ON AND OFF WITH SOMEONE IN THE SEAT AND OUT OF THE SEAT. THIS BEGAN WITHIN 100 MILES OF OWNERSHIP, AND OCCURRED VERY FREQUENTLY. THE DEALER COULD NEVER REPLICATE THIS. THEY STATED THE SYSTEM WAS DESIGNED TO WORK THAT WAY EVEN WHEN A 300 LB. TECH WAS SITTING IN THE SEAT AND THE LIGHT CAME ON SHOWING THE AIR
... BAG SYSTEM OFF. THE SENSOR IS NOW COMPLETELY OUT, AND THE AIRBAG LIGHT IS ON ALONG WITH THE PASSENGER SEAT BELT INDICATOR BOTH STAY LIT CONTINUALLY. NOW THAT THE SENSOR IS COMPLETELY OUT I AM OUTSIDE OF MY 36,000 MILE WARRANTY AND AM NOW IN MY EXTENDED WARRANTY I PURCHASED AT THE TIME I BOUGHT THE SX4. THE EXTENDED WARRANTY WILL NOT COVER A NEW SENSOR WHICH HAS BEEN QUOTED TO ME AT $2,600.00. THEY ARE SNEAKING THROUGH A LOOP HOLE THAT EXCLUDES THE AIRBAG SYSTEM AFTER AN ACCIDENT. IN WHICH THEY WON'T PAY IF THE AIRBAG HAS BEEN DEPLOYED. I AM NOW STUCK WITH A CAR THAT HAS AIRBAGS THAT MAY OR MAY NOT DEPLOY AT ANYTIME. I WAS TOLD CHANCES ARE IN AN ACCIDENT THEY WILL NOT DEPLOY. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY CONCERN. I HOPE TO NEVER HAVE AN ACCIDENT, BUT IF YOU HAVE A SAFETY SYSTEM YOU WANT IT TO WORK. THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM FOR THE SUZUKI SX4'S. VERY FEW SX4'S DO NOT HAVE THIS ISSUE. AND GIVEN LONG ENOUGH THE AIRBAG SYSTEM WILL SHUT DOWN IF THE SENSOR IS NOT REPLACED, AND IF THIS HAPPENS OUTSIDE OF THE MANUFACTURER WARRANTY YOUR STUCK DRIVING A TICKING TIME BOMB. I SIMPLY HOPE I'M NOT DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD ONE DAY AND THE AIRBAG SYSTEM SUDDENLY DECIDES IT'S TIME TO DEPLOY. I HAVE A 2004 SUZUKI FORENZA AND TOOK IT IN FOR A SAFETY RECALL ON THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS AND DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS. THE DEALERSHIP DID THE RECALL BUT SAID THE WIRES WERE BURNT SO BAD THAT IT AFFECTED THE HIGH BEAM SIDE. EVERY TIME I GET A CAR WASH, MY CAR HORN STOPS WORKING ON MY 2007 SUZUKI XL7. HAVE REPLACED MULTIPLE TIMES. SUZUKI TOLD ME NOT TO WASH MY CAR AND MY HORN WILL WORK FINE(???). THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE IN BOTH LOCKING MY CAR AND WITH ONCOMING TRAFFIC TO AVOID ANY COLLISIONS. *TR
