MY SUZUKI 1500 INTRUDER MOTORCYCLE'S EMISSIONS SYSTEM FAILED. I NOTICED SMELL OF GASOLINE ABOUT THE VEHICLE. UPON INSPECTION I FOUND A BAD WELD IN THE SEAM ON THE GAS TANK AT THE FRONT RIGHT MOUNTING TAB. THE FUEL TANK UNDER THE SEAT CRACKED AND LEAKED. THE CRACK IS ALWAYS LOCATED ON THE UPPER RIGHT MOUNT AREA. IT'S A SMALL HAIRLINE CRACK AT FIRST AND DIFFICULT TO SEE. THE PROBLEM IS WELL DOCUMENTED ON THE LC/C90 DELPHI FORUM. FUEL RUNS OUT OF THE TANK CAUSING A POTENTIAL FIRE PROBLEM. I USED JB WELD TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM. THE CONSUMER EXPERIENCED THE SAME PROBLEM AS STATED IN RECALL 04V427000. THE CONSUMER CONTACTED THE SUZUKI CORPORATION, AND WAS TOLD THAT HE WAS A PART OF THE RECALL.
