The temperature control valve (TCV) has gone bad and so the check engine light is on and reverse automatic braking and the Eyesight system is disabled. The problem with the temperature control valve is unrelated to the safety systems, however, when this valve goes bad, these safety systems are disabled automatically.

... ave fixed the issues: For the fourth time the HEV light (and others) has come on and the dash has lit up while I was driving, with the last three times leaving us stranded in dangerous road situations with little or no power. The light first came on in July 2020 at 40,089 miles. A dealership reset the codes and I had no problems until June 7, 2022 when the lights lit up on the dash again and the car died and I had to have it towed to a local dealership. They could find nothing wrong with it and checked all the wiring and said none of the codes were coming up and that the car ran fine for them when test driving a day or two after I had it towed. So they released the car back to me deeming it good to go. Then only 19 days later on June 26, 2022 the HEV light among other lit up again and the dash indicated to pull over and cut the car off due to the hybrid system. I had it towed to the nearest dealership again. The then looked at it and said they reset all the codes and everything looked to be good to go. Then AGAIN on Aug 8, 2022 (3rd time in two months), we were put in a dangerous situation trying to get the car off a busy highway when the HEV light (and others) again lit up the dash and our power went almost completely out while the engine jerked violently as we tried to avoid being hit by cars while trying to get off the highway before it completely died on us. Four times now Hyundai dealers have shrugged this off saying "we reset the codes" and we can't find an issue. We have been put in dangerous traffic conditions three of these times.Read more

Per the original dealer when we arrived, there was an NHTSA recall on the RV for the wheel assembly and they didn't realize it until that morning after I had already driven 6 hours and paid for a hotel for the night. They said the manufacturer said it would be OK for me to tow the vehicle back to where we live and have the recall com
... pleted by a local dealer. The only local dealer for this manufacturer was Bish's in Meridian ID. I called them the day after we purchased the RV and they told us there was no recall. I called the manufacturer and they said there was a recall and sent me the paperwork for it. The paperwork specifically said that the vehicle should not be released to the customer until the recall was completed, so I'm not sure why the dealer and manufacturer had me tow it 350 miles with an obvious safety issue. I called Bish's back with the paperwork and they said there was a recall, but they wouldn't repair it since it was tire related. I was told that by 2 different ladies at Bish's. For the next several weeks I went back and forth between the manufacturer and dealer trying to get the repair completed, even going as far as calling the local tire shops to try to find one to complete the recall. None would since it was a warranty issue between the dealer and manufacturer. The tires were finally replaced after 6 weeks of back and forth, but the required safety sticker was "lost" by Bishs. It will be at least an additional 2 weeks before the sticker can be installed if they even do it, leaving us 8 weeks without use of the RV, and after being placed in a hazardous situation by the dealer and manufacturer by having an unsafe vehicle released to us to tow to a different state. ... excessive braking effort and can feel the brake rotors through the pedal. #2- Intermittently, at low speeds, pulling into parking lots and parking spaces while turning the steering wheel, electrical power cuts out, steering wheel jerks out of hand, and a dash light comes on saying "service stabilitrack". This is a huge safety issue that could certainly cause an accident. I have Googled this very common issue with my year Chevy Silverado and personally checked the grounds on the left and right under the front dash panel by each speaker and found them to be clean and tight. This leads me to believe it is something else and electrical and a huge safety problem. Only issue is that it is very random and hard to replicate. Seems to happen on hot days when I've been driving a lot. I just got off the phone with the local dealership and they are saying there are no other recalls aside from the current one for air bag issues which I just scheduled. But these other issues I feel are definitely safety manufacturer defects/issues especially being that it has been in for the brake issue once already and the steering/electrical issue is such a common thing when searching the internet.Read more

... problem has been reported/documented way before it hit 84k. Jim Shorkey Chevy is a joke and Boby Rahal has no clue what warranty they’re selling people. This makes for a very loud, very rough ride that’s hard to control going any speed. There was also a valve that would squeak when it went from the V4 to the V8. In order to fix that i needed a whole new exhaust and muffler. Chevy would not cover any of this even though there is warranty for emissions through Chevy I can’t remember the year but i know the miles were 90k. I don’t have that on the car and for whatever reason an exhaust and muffler are not considered emissions even though if there was a hole or malfunction with them I wouldn’t pass the emissions here in PA. Make that make sense. All of these problem were reported within the year of buying this car back in 2020. I didn’t get a diagnosis for these problems until 2023 and 30k miles later. I did and still do have issues with the brake even though the vacuum pump was replaced back when I bought it. My antenna also leaked and I had to pay for that out of pocket. I’d love to stay with a gmc/Chevy but if I’m going to constantly have to pour money into it I’ll never go back.Read more

October 2023, check engine light came on--took it to get checked and was told I was out of antifreeze. This was the only issue they could locate...no blown gaskets, etc. The AutoZone put antifreeze in to the level it should be and the next day I was almost empty again. This was well under 90 miles driven. There are NO WARNINGS, EXPENSIVE TO KEEP BUYING OIL AND ANTIFREEZE--RISK OF ENGINE BLOWING, BREAKING DOWN-GOD FORBID I HAVE MY CHILDREN IN THE VEHICLE WITH ME. Two years ago the wipers went...heavy storm and they just all of a sudden stopped. Couldnt even see to pull over. Had my three kids with me and had to put the window down to try to see how I could pull over. I didnt know until a while later there was a recall. I turned engine off and restarted car, tried to move forward again, but again would not accelerate. Turned car off again, restarted, and this time, I was able to accelerate. Very scary to think of this happening if I was already on freeway with cars going 70+mph. I took car to dealership and they checked everything out, and did not find anything wrong with the car. They were not able to replicate the issue. I am now concerned because I was not imagining this happening and it was very scary. I am aware that some prior year Genesis models had problems like this and Genesis/Hyundai have issued recall notices, but not for my 2023 model. It seems to me that there is still an issue with the 2023 models, as I have read of similar cases like mine on several genesis owner forums. I don't know how many people have to report the issue before it is deemed a safety concern. Does someone have to be severely injured or die first? I am afraid to drive my brand new car.Read more

Large fuel leak from fuel pump flange. Vehicle has had the recall 20W9 performed in 2018 as can be seen by the black butyl sticker on the assembly. However, this failed to prevent the flange from cracking and subsequently creating a large fuel leak. This is the very failure the recall was intended to prevent. Part is available for inspection if necessary as well as work order from original recall.

This is a follow up from previous complaint 11525953 dated 6/8/2023. My subaru forester stalled again on 8/2 at an intersection after 15 minutes of driving, and then again on 10/4 at an intersection after 45 minutes of highway driving. There are no warning signals or any indication of engine problems. I replaced the air filter in June hoping that might solve the issue.

Very often the transmission does not kick in when the accelerator is pushed and gas is applied. I.e when crossing an intersection, when passing, when moving forward from a complete stop, when changing lanes, and when on busy freeways. To whom this may concern, My name is [XXX] . I purchased my 2014 Subaru on December 13th, 2013. My car has 57,000 miles on it. It has loss of acceleration when entering a freeway. I push on the gas pedal harder and harder to try to get my car to obtain 60 mph. The car does not respond until minutes go by. The CVT transmission was replaced in June 2022. ... the transmission replacement. I am the original owner of my car. Initially, my car performed very well, quick response to acceleration for the first 35-40 thousand miles. Then, it began to have lack of acceleration. The transmission was replaced by Subaru of America in June 2022 at around 48,000 miles. I brought my car to Elk Grove Subaru approximately 4 times since the transmission was replaced, each time I paid for their hourly diagnostic fee; between $165.00 to $195.00. Each time the service advisor said they found nothing wrong with my car. I took my car to two independent mechanics (One of them is a transmission repair shop) they each stated in writing that my transmission is slipping and has loss of power. I feel unsafe driving my car on the street as if shakes, shudders and jerks. I do not want to be a statistic in an accident on the freeway due to the lack of power trying to obtain speed while entering freeway and trying to keep my vehicle speed at a speed of barely 60 mph. My vehicle is still within the extended CVT warranty. I feel that the Subaru dealership is purposely avoiding acknowledgement of the failing transmission. Subaru is a big corporation. Many Subaru owners believe there needs to be an actual recall on their Subaru CVT transmissions. I do not feel safe driving my car. With 57,000 miles on a vehicle that's a potential safety hazard, Subaru needs to take more responsibility for their vehicles as people's lives are much more precious than their profit margins. I recently purchased this vehicle new from Spokane Lexus. Come to find out there are no provisions for a tow hook front or rear. In the owners manual it clearly shows that there is a cover plate in the front grille that is removed to accomodate the eyebolt that is stored in the tool kit next to the spare tire. ... he spare tire, to accomodate the eyebolt. So there no provisions for a tow truck to winch this vehicle onto a flat bed tow truck, if the vehicle does not move under it's own power. This vehicle was built in Canada for the US market. I have been told by the US Lexus Dealers that only vehicles built in Japan have the provision for the towing eye bolt. All electrical warning lights came on dashboard. This is very frustrating and scary. This needs to be a recall on this vehicle because nothing this serious is normal. I thought my car was falling apart. Honda needs to fix this problem and the owner should not be responsible.
