The letter states that GM has a Safety Recall having to do with the driver side airbag which may contain a supplier manufacturing defect that may result in the inflator rupturing during deployment. I contacted our dealer Ciocca Chevrolet of Princeton and told them I received this recall letter. They said they did not have the parts, but I would be notified when the parts came in. I called GM using the number on the recall letter to ask when the parts would come in and they told me I would be notified. Since June I have reached out to both GM and the Dealership a couple of times and both have stated that I would be notified when the parts came in. It has now been four months and the GM continues to tell me that they don't know when the parts are coming in. I have been driving an unsafe car. GM says they are not loaning cars or providing rentals for this recall. I find this unacceptable and need help getting this resolved. I called the NHTSA number 888-327-4236 and Hanitsa who I spoke to stated that you can not force GM to provide a loaner or a rental and I have to decide whether or not I should be driving the car. I do not have a choice but to take the risk of drive my car everyday since I have to go to work. I have been very lucky that nothing has happened and I continue to pray that nothing will happen but i should not be in this position. I am asking that GM provide me with a loaner or rental until they get the parts to fix my car. Oil pump failure causing entire motor to need to be replaced. Motor failed at 60,400 miles just outside of warranty while going down the interstate at 70 miles an hour. Ford has offered to do nothing with the repair and the engine is on back order for 6 months. This is a know issue already under investigation by the NHSTA and i want to add my case.

I own a 2019 Subaru Forester. Approximately 5 months ago, I experienced a failure in the auto start-stop feature. My car intermittently shuts down when stopped at traffic lights or in the middle of an intersection. Subaru conducted a diagnostic assessment to address the issue, but they couldn't identify any problems. This has happened about six times within the last five months. They claim to have

Following my dealership's recommendation, I replaced my battery with a standard EFB battery, However, the same issues persisted. Notably, the problem consistently occurs after driving on the highway for approximately 60-80 minutes and then coming to a stop at traffic lights. It is evident that the issue is not related to the battery. This issue raises significant safety concerns, especially when making left turns after coming to a stop at intersections. The sudden shutdown of the vehicle in the midst of an intersection can pose a substantial safety risk to both the driver and other road users. It not only creates a hazard in terms of traffic flow but also increases the likelihood of accidents and collisions. I bought the vehicle used and have had it for less than 2 months (to the date of the incident). I checked the oil before a long drive which was 2 weeks before the incident. Oil was topped off and looked and smelled fresh. I began to notice a knock followed by a check engine light for camshaft position sensor. I shut the car off immediately. ... e was not a drop on the dipstick. There are no signs of oil leaks to be seen. I drained what was left in the crankcase (less than a quart) and it was silver, thick, with metal flakes all in it. I refilled the crankcase and did not solve the knock (I ran it for 2 seconds after refilling it to test it). I contacted Hyundai with the issue and they asked that we make an appointment with our local dealer to have it inspected (closest appointment was 2 months out). The car has not run since I changed the oil (2 months ago). I checked the dipstick yesterday and it was still topped off. This rules out any oil leaks. The engine is eating the oil with no oil smell or smoke. There were no warning lights for low oil or low oil pressure. I took the vehicle in for inspection immediately at a local Ford dealership. The service department concluded that the engine would again need to be completely replaced due to the exact same well-documented coolant intrusion manufacturer defect (Ford Service Bulletin 222-2229). It is important to note that the engine failure occurred only 30,000 miles after the first engine replacement in July of 2020. This time the full repair/engine replacement will require $9,191.96 payment out of pocket. The dealership directed me to Ford Corporate. They refused to provide financial assistance or repair despite the well-documented defect that has rendered the car completely useless and unsafe. At this time I have not had my car towed to the dealership for inspection and repairs. There were no signs that the brakes were not working properly, no lights, no alarms , nothing. Only a pedal that went completely to the floor of my vehicle, causing immediate panic and confusion as to what was happening. It took a moment to realize that the brakes were on the floor and not engaging while oncoming traffic through the traffic light barely missed me. The parking lot that I was attempting to turn into luckily had no one pulling out or there would most certainly have been a collision between two or more vehicles. I used the emergency brake to get the vehicle stopped so that I didn’t crash into the storefront. The 2021 and beyond Tesla Model S comes installed with camber arms that cause the wheel to be tilted in and thus wears the tire on the inside to the point of wearing out within 6 months. This is a flaw in the building and pertains to all the model S's 2021 and greater. This is a safety issue and is not addressed by Tesla. I think Tesla should be forced to provide a recall for this.

While traveling home to Louisiana from a vacation, I noticed the engine temperature what stuck on Cold. We also were experiencing loss of power steering, and loss of AC in the car. We stopped at AutoZone in Destin, FL where they completed their FixFinder which reported the thermostat needed to be replaced, being it was stuck in the open position and wasn't properly gauging the engine temperature.
... Some of the engine fluids were extremely low due to overcompensation because of the thermometer issue. Seeing as we were traveling and not near our local mechanic or dealership, we called around to various auto shops to see who could fit us in same day. The only available shop, without having to spend an additional night in FL, was Pep Boys in Fort Walton, FL. They also let us know they did not have the thermostat compatible with my engine in stock, so that would need to be purchased at AutoZone if we wanted the car fixed same day; which is what I did. While we were at Pep Boys, there was another Cadillac xt5 there for repairs to their AC. It turned out, they were having the exact same issue I was having, but it hadn't escalated to the power steering yet. The mechanic googled the two issues and found there are known issues with the engine thermostat in this make/model, but there has never been a recall issued for it. Now Cadillac is refusing to reimburse me for the repairs because I was still within my Powertrain warranty (under 73k miles) but because we were in a hurry to get home from vacation to get back to work, we did not take the car to a GMC dealership, so the Powertrain warranty is apparently useless here. My extended warranty is also useless because the Powertrain warranty is still in effect.Read more

My car randomly turns off when reducing speed. It caused an accident a few days ago. I have had multiple mechanics try to figure out the problem but the only thing that comes up on the diagnostic tool is it needed 1 coil replaced. They have all been replaced and still won't go away. The Che k engine light is on. And the car uses about a quart or more of oil everytime I fill up but has no leaks. W
