When closing the driver's side front door, an audible clicking sound was heard. When opening the door at my destination, some mechanism inside the door failed. ... by a Ford dealership (there are 4 nearby) and all had at least a 12 week waitlist to be diagnosed. During the diagnostic period my vehicle would have to remain on the lot. No dealership would provide a loaner vehicle during that time. Due to financial and work responsibilities, I was unable to do that . We went with a different mechanic to replace with a new transmission (proof with documentation). I am also on the waiting list (10 weeks) to have the cam phasers be diagnosed, this time by the ford dealership. Upon taking it to an independent dealer, they diagnosed the issue with an engine knock and told us we needed a new engine. After transporting to the Hyundai dealer, they indicated it was a timing issue and needed to replace all CVVT and timing components. They did not investigate the knocking sound and admitted the repair of the CVVT could still result in the engine failing. I mention this because it is clear this engine issue is widespread and known. And yet, despite knowing this, this Hyundai dealer was willing to knowingly put me, my family, and the general public at risk for a more catastrophic engine failure in heavy traffic. This started happening even before the vehicle hit 1,000 miles on the odometer. Additionally, there were two occasions in which the power steering light came on the dash when remote starting the vehicle, but would turn off when cycling the car. The light came on once prior to the sticky steering issue and once more after having experienced the start of the sticky and stiff steering. I have not remote started the car since. The dealer has noted this, but could not find a reason why this is happening as a diagnostic check did not reveal any errors. Adding to the steering issue, there is a lot of effort needed to make right turns and left turns, even at low speeds. All of these issues could not be replicated by the dealer. However, the dealer did not take the vehicle on a prolonged drive nor on the highway at highway speed. The dealer has noted that if the problem persists, to take it back. It is still persisting. The mechanic at this dealership voiced his concerns that these were the original fuel injectors, He said he was aware of the problem, but was only permitted to replace one of the fuel injectors. The car continues to shudder at occasionally, and refuses to shift out of 1st gear at odd times. We have tried to get Hyundai to replace the fuel injectors, but they refuse. I would like this to be serve as a record of our problems so that others can be aware of a problem that exists with these cars. The car was taken back to the same dealership. they determined the RF module had water damage again caused by a leak. Geico refused to pay anything for repairs this time. after speaking with Fiat customer service representative, Fiat agreed to pay for diagnosis of leak, location and repair of leak and replacement of RF module. [XXX] the dealership said they found the leak. The leak was located somewhere on the back portion of the car. there was a crack on both sides of the back portion of the car. [XXX] the dealership cannot find the leak. I am writing to provide feedback on the recent mandated Tesla Full Self Driving software update (recall). When I keep both hands on the steering wheel, I now get constant warnings. Specifically, even when I drive with both hands firmly on the wheel at 9 and 3 o'clock and maintaining what I feel is adequate control, the system nags me with disruptive alerts. It tells me to apply pressure and flash
... es visuals that my hands are not properly positioned, despite both remaining clearly in contact with the wheel the whole time. I typically drive responsibly with proper grip, yet these frequent notifications are frustrating and stress-inducing. The sensors seem to be calibrated too sensitively if they are detecting grip issues when both my hands are correctly and securely holding the wheel. Prior to the mandated update, I didn't receive nearly as many warnings. The update was not helpful and makes driving more stressful and less safe if anything. I understand the goal is to enforce safe driving, but the current warnings are excessive even when drivers are maintaining proper hand positioning. Perhaps the regulations could be relaxed so alerts only activate when grip is legitimately inadequate, rather than routinely throughout normal driving. Please let me know if any further details on my experience with both hands on the wheel would be helpful. I would be happy to provide additional information to aid review of this system. I have filed a case with Subaru of America, but they seem satisfied to make customers foot the bills for diagnostic testing, meanwhile the head unit in question is on a backorder and simply not available. Harman Kardon is the maker of the head unit and should be made to pay for the development of a new head unit without serious defects. But if Subaru is truly the company they say there are, then they need to take responsibility as well and provide the replacement of the defective units regardless of warranty status. At first this may appear as a "cosmetic issue," but I can honestly say that my initial experience was so distracting and confusing, and occurred in an area where I was not able to pull over.
