Called around Tampa and all mechanics advise (consistent with numerous complaints online car communities) failed head gasket is a known and common safety issue (to the extent that parts are on backorder as a result of repairs). Called American Honda Corporation and they led me to believe they would repair, but after an hour of wasting my time, and repeated requests to hold so agent could speak with supervisor, agent then said repeatedly "there is nothing we can do for you." This abject safety failure and demonstrated bad faith should not be allowed by regulators who have a duty to mandate that auto manufacturers do the right thing and issue safety recalls for known issues such as the head gasket failure I have experienced.Read more

I finally got my vehicle back and drove it for approximately 4 months, and now the PTU has failed totally, causing me to lose control while cornering due to loss of power to the wheels, transmission began to grind badly and the vehicle rolled freely for a long distance before stopping via brake pedal. I was then stranded on a very remote gravel road for hours in the middle of the night waiting for assistance and unable to call for help or drive the vehicle. Dealer states PTU failed and entire transmission and transfer case will be replaced under AUL warranty. No warning lamps were illuminated before, during, or after the malfunction despite the obviously failed PTU. Many other Jeep Cherokee KL 2019 owners have reported similar failures at as low as 60k miles. The cost of repair has nearly surpassed the price I paid for the vehicle. I have lost 2000+ paying car payments on a vehicle that is unsafe and unreliable. No recalls or service bulletins related to either issue have been made available. ... le were reporting the same issue. I found out from these forums that the touch screen was delaminating. Sure enough, I could see that on my screen at the top. I had seen it before but I just thought it was a cosmetic flaw and I didn't connect it to the random radio changing. That delamination is now half way down my screen. If it was just the radio changing channels I wouldn't be contacting you. However, during the past 2 weeks the uconnect system is randomly showing my back up camera, turning my heated seats on, and randomly calling people listed in my phone contacts. More troubling is that it has called 911 on five different occasions. I have been able to cancel 2 of them, but the other 3 would not cancel even when I hit the cancel button on the screen. This is the safety issue.....my attention is being taken away from driving and trying to stop 911 calls from being randomly made. I have found no option to disable the uconnect system so I have to deal with this every time I am driving now. The vehicle has less than 50,000 miles on it. If this was a unique situation I would accept that I am out of warranty and need to fix this myself, but this is not unique. This exact same problem is happening on a ton of Ram vehicles and the manufacturer needs to step up and fix a flaw in this component. I have been in touch with Chrysler for the past week and they told me they will reach out to me on May 14th and let me know what they can do. Vehicle’s dash panel just started cracking three years ago for no apparent reason. By the day the cracks continue. My concern is over time the cracks will become so bad the air bag will deploy prematurely causing injury. This is a known issue in Hyundai Sonata from 2011-2014. This is not due to extreme heat. This is a defect and should be addressed before someone gets seriously hurt.

The blower motor harness melted for the second time. The blower motor was replaced with the recall part and it has melted again. This is causing the blower motor to cut off at any given moment.
