I took it to the dealership that I purchased it at and where it is also regularly serviced (with the last service date only over one week ago,) and they were not able to determine what happened but instead mentioned that my car had no internal data of any errors occurring and that the car was able to be started when they serviced it. I took a picture of the dash as it was flashing with all of the error codes and submitted that to the tech that was working on my car, but they asked me if I’d had someone “clear my codes” which is not something I’m familiar with or even capable of doing- I don’t even know anyone that would be capable of doing that for me. The whole ordeal cost me a day of work and now my peace of mind as I am unsure of if this may happen again and now I am worried it may happen while my kids are in the car. Since this problem started, my back driver's side door will not always lock. This problem may be related to the Shift to Park issue. I have my invoice from the dealership where I first had this problem fixed and am hoping they will fix it again at no cost to me. When I searched this issue online, it appears to be a problem with many 2016-2019 Chevy Malibus. There should be a recall issued by GM for this problem. As mentioned this occurred within an approximate 5 second time frame. It is unknown as to what if any warnings occurred prior to/during the crash as my wife was pushing the brake to park when the sudden acceleration occurred. The braking system seems to have failed along with the sudden acceleration. The Automatic Braking System didn't engage, nor did the parking collision system. All our other Subaru's (including this vehicle have the collision warning and automatic braking systems) The dealership did not try to replicate the incident but all warning systems appear to be functioning correctly at this time. Following the accident I first reported the incident to my dealership where I purchased the vehicle. The initial damage estimate is forthcoming but Subaru tech indicated it will be may thousands of dollars to repair. I will follow-up next with Subaru's National Customer Care (per conversation with dealer) At the dealership (Southern Oregon Subaru) I had a safety/drive-ability inspection performed. Vehicle was given a clearance to drive, but obviously my wife refuses to drive it. Subsequent to the accident, we learned there are over 200 similar reports to NHTSA for this exact issue. ... afety and the safety of others were put at significant risk on two separate occasions. The first engine failed at 67,000 miles, leading to the engine blowing while I was driving on the highway. This nearly caused an accident as the vehicle suddenly lost power. The second engine, which was a replacement from a 2018 Ford Edge with the same 2.0L EcoBoost engine, also failed in a similar manner at 87,000 miles, again while I was driving on the highway. On this occasion, I was left stranded on the side of the highway in the desert for 7 hours in over 100-degree weather, further endangering my safety. The problem was diagnosed and confirmed by a Ford dealership on both occasions. The first failure was diagnosed as coolant leaking into cylinder 3, causing the vehicle to misfire and eventually leading to the engine blowing. The second engine was inspected by a Ford repair technician during a recall service, where the same coolant leak issue was diagnosed. Less than two months after this diagnosis, the second engine also blew while I was driving. Ford service technicians inspected and confirmed the problem both times. Repair and diagnostic reports are available. The first indication of the problem with the original engine was a check engine light so I took the vehicle to Ford. The dealership diagnosed the issue as coolant leaking into cylinder 3, causing misfires. Despite this diagnosis, the engine failed before I could arrange for the recommended long block replacement. Due to a failure to properly prepare the frame (GM Service Bulletin 19-NA-255), the frame of my 2013 Chevrolet Silverado has rusted and cracked due to the extensive rusting. I was made aware of this issue by my mechanic while repairing another unrelated issue. Had I not taken my vehicle in for service, I may not have been made aware and the damage could have gotten detrimental to safely operate.

The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure.

Approximately at 56,000 miles I began having trouble with a whining noise along with rough, delayed, or sudden shifting, lack of acceleration from a stop and shuddering. ... e back and they stated that they haven't had any complaints about the whining noise with Toyota. I got "service engine light" and took it to the dealer which they said was a sensor for AWD. I paid to have it replaced and 2 days later the exact code came back up. Took it back into the Toyota dealership stating the same code came on but, to date, the dealer has been unable to correct the problem because they say it's the transmission that needs replacing which will cost over 8,500.00! My truck only has 119k miles and should be good to go for at minimum of 100k miles more with no major issues!Read more

Manufacturer is not fixing recall with remedy in reasonable time. Fix is available for model years other than 2021. Have open case with Chrysler which has provided no assistance and there is no date remedy will be available
