2019-2022 BMW X7 Xdrive have a major issue with the transfer box which controls the adaptive steering at all front wheels. At low speeds or at driveline when accelerating in forward or reverse while turning the steering wheel the vehicle shudders or jerks causing the skipping like feeling in traction. This is a common issue which is reported by many and is now happening to my vehicle. BMW has not
... issued a recall, rather a recommended repair to change the oil on the transfer case and drive the vehicle for 125miles hoping the issue will go away. In most cases the issue does not go away and the transfer box needs to be replaced. The interesting thing is BMW is charging customers 500.00 for the transfer box oil change when its a known issue and hopefully if you are still under warranty will replace the transfer box if the issue persists at not cost. If not under warranty the cost of the part alone is 4350.00 for the transfer box, not including labor. This is a very major driver safety concern as it pertains to steering and handling of the vehicle. In my opinion, BMW should not be charging customers under warranty for the transfer box oil change in hopes of it resolving the issue. There should be a recall for the transfer box entirely as this is an issue on all BMW X7s. There is no warning lights regarding the transfer box issue. The issue is continues at all times while driving at low speeds and turning at the same time. This can cause someone to lose control of the vehicle in a turn and get into an accident. Please refer to BMW recommended repair SIB 27 02 20, link provided below. [XXX] If this is a known issue, and NHTSA is aware of the issue then why isnt there a recall to replace the transfer box entirely if the issue is confirmed by the dealer. Why put a band aid by replacing the oil on the transfer box when it will eventually return? If the vehicle is not under warranty, why should customer pay. Genesis GV70 Electrified with 15,818 miles. Car suddenly would not accelerate beyond 20 mph and RED Warning on dashboard to immediately pull over and stop car. No prior warning or symptoms. Significant concern for safety of my passenger and myself due to driving much lower than speed limit on road, in wet conditions. Thankfully, I was not on a freeway or major intersection. Called Genesis dea
... lership, and service manager confirmed the defective part is the ICCU, which was already on NHTSA recall and was reprogrammed earlier this year on my car. Same issue occurred, but this time the dealership plans to replace the part. Why was this not replaced the first time if it can go bad? This should be a required replacement, not reprogramming. This is the SECOND major power failure on my car within 1-1/2 yrs of ownership and only 15,818 miles driven. Seems like significant issues on this car, maybe a lemon?Read more

I am writing to bring to your attention a critical safety issue affecting my 2021 Ford F-150, caused by a recent SYNC software update. On or around August 2024, Ford issued a software update that has resulted in significant malfunctions in multiple vehicle systems, including intermittent freezing and non-responsiveness shortly after vehicle startup. These issues persist for several minutes, severe
... ly impairing safety features—most notably the federally mandated backup camera that all vehicles sold after 2018 are required to have for driver and pedestrian safety. Following Ford's issuance of a recall number, I scheduled a service appointment with my local dealership and was later informed that Ford's specified service procedures would incur additional charges since my vehicle is now out of warranty. Ford has indicated that rolling back to a previous software version is not an option, as only Ford has access to the software. The company further requires an official diagnostic assessment at an estimated cost of $500 to $1,000 to even consider covering part of the repair costs. This approach is unreasonable, given that the malfunction originates from Ford’s own software update and directly impacts the safe operation of the vehicle. This is especially concerning as it compromises the backup camera and other critical driver-alert systems, which could lead to severe injury or even fatalities if the issue remains unaddressed. This issue is not isolated; a significant number of Ford F-150 owners are reporting similar problems on public forums, where Ford has acknowledged the software defect but has not offered a resolution without additional financial burden on affected customers. Given the safety risks posed by the non-functional backup camera and the importance of fully operational driver alert systems, I urge the NHTSA to investigate this matter. Ford’s reluctance to address this defect without cost to owners directly undermines the federally mandated safety standards thatRead more

My fuel pump has been failing multiple times over the last 4 months. When contacted Alfa Romeo/ Mike Ward dealership for review, diagnostic scans, and part replacement they told me it could be a couple of weeks until my car can even be looked at. Both my shop and the dealership have told me that this part is on back order with no ETA and no possible way of getting that part so my car can be functional. These issues first appeared when I would accelerate from a complete stop and it would take a few seconds for my car to begin moving. This slowly progressed into my check engine light, auto start/ stop error light, electric throttle error light, and front crash detection light have all turned on and remained on for about 2 months until the car began dying in the middle of the street. This had come to be so servers that the car is now no longer drivable and each time it is driven it dies within a few minutes of driving.Again since there is no ETA there is no way for me to fix my car, this is my only mode of transportation and it has left me ain multiple dangerous situations and now with no transportation now that Alfa Romeo is refusing to make the parts needed for repair.Read more

The mechanic said it must’ve been a faulty part to have gone like that. When the axel broke, it damaged the front differential and the transmission so the car isn’t very drivable.
