I brought the vehicle in to have recalls addressed on 12/30/24. Starting the next day we noticed the car was weaving without any steering, but thought it might have been icy road conditions and waited to see if it reoccured. The car has since weaved intermittently, but has righted itself after releasing the accelerator. However, on 1/15/25 while traveling about 50mph, the car started weaving on it
... s own and when the accelerator was released the car started to wildly fishtail. Called dealer and they agreed this was a serious issue and agreed to see car the next morning. Service tech said when they drove the car it did the same thing and that the troubleshooting recommended I change the regenerative braking setting to "smooth" and sent me on my way. I did not get even a mile before the car began weaving rapidly again on its own. Went straight back to dealership where manager wanted me to drive the vehicle again with the tech in car which I refused as it is not safe to drive. So he said if I was ok with it tech would take car out again but if it was just acting how regenerative brakes work, there wasn't much else they could do. When manager returned to talk to me, he said he ended up going with the tech and it did replicate the weaving action two times during that drive. The car is steering on its own weaving wildly left and right and imposes a great danger and no longer feels like a safe vehicle to drive.Read more

I got a 2014 Hyundai Sonata in May of 2023. In the beginning of September 2024, I was driving down the road on a highway and a knocking sound began as well as grinding. The car then immediately lost all power which could’ve resulted in a serious accident like death or injury to me or others. I found out about the engine recall right after for the class action lawsuit for Hyundai. They told me I
... was good under the extended warranty. I was told that I needed to get the odometer branding fixed on the title before they would honor the recall. I did that and received the clean title in the beginning of November. The car was at a garage where they agreed that the car had premature worn engine bearings and had failed. The car went to a dealership in the beginning of November. Then I was told I needed more information like the clean title, bill of sale, and a statement. I provided all 3. After that I was told I needed to send receipts of my maintenance to the car. I also did that. I send every several documents. The dealership had told me my claim was denied due to “maintenance neglect” and “not enough maintenance documentation.” I then had the dealership reopen the claim and sent all of the prior maintenance records on the vehicle from the owner before me. I am told it is declined still for the same reason which makes no sense. I sent 35 documents to them. I was told today that they will not fix it and I was wished the best of luck. I did not have the car at the time of the recall and only had it for a year and a couple months. The car has been sitting for 4 months while I am paying insurance on it at the dealership to get the engine recall repaired.Read more

Twice while I was driving on the highway, my ABS and brake light came on, and my brakes became less sensitive to pressure. That is to say, it took more effort and I had to push my brakes further towards the floor in order for them to respond. I went to an independent mechanic and got the code C1391 which indicates a brake pump accumulator issue. I went to a Toyota dealership and and had the car in

However, I was never told by Toyota that this issue meant my brakes could fail at any time. I am the owner of a 2020 Kia Telluride with less than 60,000 miles, and I am experiencing a significant issue with the paint peeling off the top of my vehicle. The car is always parked in a garage and only used for routine school pick-ups, with no incidents or accidents that could explain the peeling paint. After researching, I have discovered that this issue is a recurring problem for many Kia v
... ehicles with the Snow White Pearl paint color. It is evident that this is a result of defective paint, and I am outraged that I am being quoted $3,500 to fix an issue caused by Kia’s faulty materials. The peeling has spread to two different areas and worsens daily, further devaluing my vehicle through no fault of my own. Given the widespread reports of this issue and ongoing discussions of a potential class action lawsuit, I urge Kia to address this problem immediately and take responsibility for the defective paint. I strongly believe this should be treated as a recall and that Kia should cover the cost of repairs. Please respond promptly with a resolution, as this is unacceptable for a vehicle of this age and mileage. I expect Kia to stand by the quality of its products and address this issue without further financial burden on your customers.Read more

Honda of Kirkland (12420 NE 85th St, Kirkland, WA 98033) failed to remedy a recall on my vehicle within a reasonable period of time. I received notice by mail from American Honda in late November that the parts to remedy a recall on my vehicle were now available, and I could have it serviced for free at any authorized Honda dealer. I contacted Honda of Kirkland on December 2, and they told me the
... parts were not available and declined to schedule an appointment. I called them again on December 9, and they said they placed an order for the parts, and would call me back to schedule an appointment. On January 2 (24 days since last contact, 31 days since initial contact), they still had not called me back, so I called them again, and they informed me that the first available appointment would be on April 17. I then reached out another authorized Honda dealer, still on January 2, and they ordered the parts and said they would call back. A few days later, they called back to confirm they had the parts, and scheduled an appointment for January 27. So it was clearly possible to remediate the defect in a reasonable period of time -- Honda of Kirkland simply chose not to do so. In summary, Honda of Kirkland obstructed each of my three attempts to have this defect remediated, by: 1. Falsely claiming that the parts were not unavailable. 2. Promising and then failing to contact me to schedule an appointment. 3. Offering me a first-available appointment 136 days after I first contacted them.Read more

After disconnecting all connections and confirming there wasn’t no corrosion present, I cleaned all connections to the battery as a precaution and once everything was put back the power steering worked. Once I reconnected everything the power steering worked again. It continued to work until 1-6-25 and has not worked since. Mechanic confirmed that the power steering module failed and the entire rack and pinion assembly needs to be replaced. He also mentioned this is a common issue with these trucks and there was an open investigation on FCA due to it. When the power steering fails it creates a safety risk to everyone on the road due to the fact the truck is extremely difficult the steer and can lead to an accident. On December 22, 2024, I went out at 8 AM to have breakfast with my dad. On the way back, I noticed my car starting to slow down, and the "turtle mode" activated. Normally, this mode only occurs when the battery level is under 1%, but my battery was at 75%. As I tried to park in a safe location, the car suddenly lost power and displayed a warning instructing me to stop due to an electrical problem
... and to contact service. I was able to safely stop at a small shopping center plaza and called Hyundai's towing service. When the towing company arrived, they found they couldn’t turn the car on and had to use a wheel-lift tow method. Unfortunately, I had to wait nine hours for the car to be towed. The car was dropped off at the dealership on December 22, 2024, but it wasn’t checked until December 31. By the end of the first week or early in the second week of January, I was informed that the replacement ICCU (Integrated Charging Control Unit) had arrived. However, due to the dealership's schedule, they said they wouldn’t begin the installation until the following Tuesday, with hopes of completing the work by the end of that week. This incident was especially frustrating because I had already experienced an ICCU failure in January 2023, just nine months after purchasing the vehicle. At that time, no one could explain why the ICCU component had failed, and now I’m facing the same issue again.Read more

Statement of Safety Issue for 2021 Tahoe Transmission Vehicle Information: Make and Model: 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe VIN: [XXX] Issue Description: I have been receiving the warning message "Service Transmission. Unable to Shift Soon." multiple times, specifically on [XXX] and again on [XXX]. This issue is particularly concerning as there is an existing recall on the 2021 Tahoe for a transmission prob
... lem that can cause the rear wheels to lock up or result in the vehicle suddenly losing the ability to shift, as explained by a GMC transmission technician. Attempts to Resolve: I have contacted multiple dealerships to attempt to get my transmission diagnosed. Unfortunately, all dealerships within my area are backed up with transmission work for 4-6 weeks. I have spoken to multiple dealership service departments and have been informed that there are numerous vehicles currently experiencing this same exact issue. Some vehicles are continuing to drive, while others are being stranded on the side of the road, unable to shift. Safety Concern: The safety concern, as stated in the recall, is that my rear wheels may lock up or my vehicle may suddenly lose the ability to shift. This is particularly alarming for me as I have to drive over a large steep bridge every day to go to work, and there is no emergency lane while traversing the bridge. I am terrified to continue driving, but I only have one vehicle for my family (this 2021 Tahoe) and no dealership has a loaner vehicle available due to the high quantity of transmission errors. Conclusion: Given the severity of the issue and the potential safety risks, I urgently request assistance in addressing this transmission problem as soon as possible. The current situation is untenable and poses a significant danger to my safety and the safety of others on the road. I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the response I have received regarding the cam phaser replacement for my 2018 Ford Expedition. Why is my vehicle not covered under the Cam Phaser Customer Satisfaction Program 21N03, where 100% of the amount was covered under this program. I had my vehicle diagnosed from Malloy Ford with TSB 23-2148 VCTS replacement. My vehicle has extremely low mile
... age for being a 2018 with only 44,000 miles. After contacting Ford Motor Company’s Customer Service, I was informed that the faulty cam phasers on my vehicle are not showing under the Field Service Action report. I am aware that for the cam phasers to be marked as faulty within the Field Service Action (FSA) records, the issue must first be diagnosed and repaired under the 21B10 Powertrain Control Module (PCM) program for the Cam Phaser Rattle. Once this procedure has been performed, if the problem persists, the cam phasers can then be replaced under Customer Satisfaction Program 21N03 – Cam Phaser Replacement. Despite this clarification, I remain extremely dissatisfied with the outcome the NHTSA and Ford Motor Company has done to remedy this issue for millions of customers. I believe more can be done to address this issue promptly under the know Customer Satisfaction Program 21N03. The rattle from the cam phasers remains a persistent problem and has not been resolved. More needs to be done to help the millions of customers that are experiencing these issues and help them to avoid the outgrows repair bills only caused by Ford Motor Company using cheap parts. Please help remedy this situation.Read more

This vehicle has an Allison 10 speed transmission and began shifting extremely hard or violently from 7th to 8th gear in November of 2023. This problem began when pulling a travel trailer that is weight rated well below the capacity of this truck. This hard shift causes vehicle occupants to lunge d
... uring the event and it is feared that a catastrophic failure will occur, resulting in a vehicle accident. The vehicle was taken to the dealership where purchased as it is still under manufacturer’s warranty, and in March of 2024 the dealership performed a software update and transmission “re-learn” which solved the issue until the truck was used to pull a travel trailer again. The issue returned in November of 2024. The truck was returned to the dealership for follow up but the dealership has not taken any further action to resolve the problem at this time. There is a service bulletin (N242467600) issued from GM that seems related to this vehicle but I’ve received no notification that this vehicle is eligible for transmission replacement under this service bulletin. This issue will likely result in a personal injury or vehicle accident at some point.Read more

I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding an ongoing issue I have encountered with my 2016 Chevrolet Malibu. Recently, I experienced a significant problem with the vehicle’s trunk and rear seat release mechanism, which has made it impossible for me to access the trunk or fold down the rear seats. The specific issues I am facing are as follows: Trunk Latch Stuck: The trunk latch has
... become stuck, and I am unable to open the trunk manually or with the remote key fob. The latch mechanism appears to be malfunctioning, and it will not unlatch when attempting to open it. Remote Key Fob Failure: The remote key fob, which is typically used to release the trunk, no longer works, making it impossible to access the trunk from outside the vehicle. Seat Release Mechanism: Additionally, the release button for folding down the rear seats is also not functioning, and I cannot lower the seats from inside the cabin. Typically, this release mechanism can be accessed from the trunk; however, due to the trunk being inaccessible, I am unable to release the seats, which is an urgent issue. This situation is highly inconvenient and concerning, as I rely on the trunk and rear seats for storage and daily functionality. The inability to access the trunk or fold down the seats creates a major safety and usability issue, especially in situations where I need access to the trunk in emergencies. I kindly request that this issue be investigated and resolved as soon as possible. Ideally, I would like to have the trunk latch mechanism repaired and the seat release system fixed so that I can safely and reliably use my vehicle. Please let me know how we can proceed to address this matter, whether through an inspection, repair, or replacement of the defective components. Thank you for your prompt attention to this complaint. I look forward to your swift response and resolution to ensure that my vehicle remains functional and accessible.Read more

The Thermo control valve on the vehicle failed. This has been such a consistent problem, that Subaru has extended the warranty for this item to 150K miles. I realize that alone is not a safety problem, but the issue is that when there is a check engine light error, the system shuts down the cruise control, lane departure, collision avoidance (EyeSIGHT), and XMODE (all wheel drive). The safety i
... ssue is shutting down these unconnected safety features because of a check engine light. I will say that the dealer promptly fixed the problem at no charge under the extended warranty. my concern was the loss of the 4 wheel drive right as major snow was hitting the Mid Atlantic Area.Read more
