The failed component of the car was the drivers side fuel transfer pump. After noticing the faint smell of gas in my car i checked under the rear driver side passenger seat. I was shocked to find more than 16 fluid ounces of gas floating freely around the well of the gas pump.the insulation under the rear passenger seat is soaked in gas. I can only imagine what could’ve happened if there was a
... n accident or if someone even sparked a cigarette in my car. Not only is this extremely dangerous, there are negative consequences that result from inhaling gas constantly while driving. Gas contains cancerous properties, people should not be subject to unknowingly driving around a car that is manufactured to the defect of releasing cancerous vapors. Who knows what damage inhaling gas fumes for the past months has done to me or my passengers. In the even that someone were to spark a cigarette in the car it was possible that the car could’ve caught fire. The passengers in the rear right seats would be affected the most, the insulation under their seat is soaked in gas. This problem has possibly been noticed by dealers and identified in a warranty that expired on 4/24/2023. This warranty was issued for fuel tanks and fuel components. I am not sure whether the gas pump was affected but the gas pump alone constitutes a recall. This is a very common problem as well, apparently there are multiple youtube videos demonstrating gas leaks in the back seat. Upon contacting dealer I was informed that they did not know if the gas pump was included in a warranty that expired in 4/24/2023. I would have to pay for an inspection to determine if the gas pump is related to the warranty. In the case that it was related the financial obligation to repair is my burden. The dealer wont inspect the vehicle unless I pay, I have documented photo and video of the gas well and the extent of the leakage. There was no warning or any indication that I was driving around with this dangerous issue.Read more

The check engine light and a flashing 'S' and other lights stating the safety features such as Eyesight, lane departure, RAB, etc. are turned off. This started on 1/15/25, and I took the car to the dealership on 1/16/25. The dealership stated the EVap System Leak Detection Pump sensor indicated a leak, and the EvaporateLeak Check Module needs to be replaced but is back-ordered until mid-March 2025
... . They turned off all the lights and told me I could keep driving the vehicle. On 1/20/25, all of the lights were back on. The car lags to accelerate and is using gas at a rapid rate. I feel unsafe driving the car for another two months with the check engine light on and the acceleration capacity decreased. The dealership will not allow me a rental vehicle unless I leave it on their lot for two months until the part arrives. I cannot agree with that. The dealership informed me that multiple Forester and Crosstreks models have the same problem. This car was purchased brand new from the Olympia dealership and it currently has about 22,000 miles on it.Read more

The vehicle has persistent issues with its software and safety systems, creating significant safety risks. The Remote Software Upgrade feature fails to install, despite indicating it is “ready to install” with preparations complete. This prevents critical updates that could address safety and performance defects. BMW Customer Support was unable to resolve the issue, and a local dealership conf
... irmed no hardware faults but could not address the software issue due to limitations as a non-BMW-certified service center. Several critical safety features also do not function properly. The Blind Spot Warning system has never issued alerts, leaving the driver unaware of vehicles in adjacent lanes. The Forward Collision Warning system has never activated, even in close proximity to other vehicles. The Lane Departure Warning fails to consistently activate, while Lane Keeping Assistance operates only intermittently, despite being designed to engage above 40 mph. Additionally, the Parking Collision Warning and Rear Cross Traffic Warning systems have never provided alerts, even when obstacles or approaching vehicles are present. These malfunctions severely compromise the vehicle’s ability to prevent accidents and ensure safety. The vehicle also intermittently displays drivetrain failure warnings, stating the car can still be driven but should be serviced. Upon inspection, no issues were identified. Consistent fault codes for the active kidney grille shutters appear, but no check engine light is illuminated. These recurring warnings create uncertainty about the vehicle’s reliability and the accuracy of its diagnostics. The combination of these issues places the driver, passengers, and others at risk. A thorough investigation is needed to identify and resolve the root causes. All systems are available for inspection upon request.Read more

I was involved in a rear-end collision caused by a vehicle abruptly moving into my lane while traveling at a slower speed. From the time the vehicle entered my lane to the time of the collision was approximately one second. Despite this timeframe, the anti-collision warning system and automatic emergency braking (AEB) functionality in my Ford vehicle did not activate or alert me before the impact.
... Additionally, I have observed that the adaptive cruise control and Blue Cruise systems in my vehicle do not react until a vehicle in front is fully out of the lane (for acceleration) or fully in the lane (for deceleration). This delayed reaction may have contributed to the system’s failure to engage in this incident. I believe this represents a potentially unsafe functionality in the collision avoidance system, as it may not adequately respond to rapidly changing traffic conditions. I am reporting this to ensure it is investigated to help improve the safety of these systems and prevent similar incidents in the future.Read more

I am writing to formally submit a complaint regarding multiple ongoing and serious issues with my 2022 Hyundai Palisade. My vehicle has exhibited signs of overheating, posing risks to the engine’s longevity and safety. 2.Radiator Leak: I have identified a radiator leak, which is troubling for a relatively new vehicle. This suggests a defect in the materials or assembly, as this should not be occurring under normal operating conditions. 3.Oil Pan and Filter Housing Issues: •The oil pan has developed a crack, which is highly unusual, especially since Hyundai has performed all of my vehicle’s oil changes. This raises concerns about part quality and service handling. •Additionally, I have noticed oil leaking from the oil filter housing. This leak not only raises concerns about engine performance but also indicates a potential flaw in the design or installation of the oil filter system. 4.Faulty Sensors: My vehicle’s sensors frequently activate without any nearby objects or obstacles. These false alerts are a serious distraction while driving and undermine the effectiveness of the car’s safety features. 5.Key Fob Malfunctions: While driving, I have repeatedly encountered the “key not in vehicle” warning, despite the key being present inside the car. This issue is not only an inconvenience but also a potential safety risk if it disrupts the vehicle’s operations unexpectedly. The combination of these defects is unacceptable for a vehicle of this age and reputation. These problems suggest significant flaws in manufacturing, design, or maintenance practices that Hyundai should address immediately.Read more
