There are a couple of issues. 1. The car keeps applying the brakes at lower and higher speeds even though there is literally nothing in front. After careful investigation he found over two gallons of water under the spare tire where the parking break module is housed. It had to be replaced as well as both calipers. The module also had to be reprogrammed. It was at there 22 days. The mechanic bill was nearly $1,800. Now I need extensive body work to perhaps stop the water coming in thru the seams underneath the power-lift door which had opened. It has been to the dealer where I bought it each time, and they state that GMC told them it is normal. They reset the computer, and the check engine light goes out until I run the truck in temperatures below 30 degrees. The dealer has been great with me, but dealer reports GMC will not cover their services under warranty as GMC reports this is normal. This condition happens unannounced and almost all the time in cold temperatures. It has happened at least 12 times. The performance can be a safety issue when this condition comes about, and you're driving in traffic. I opened a case with GMC on Thursday, January 16, 2025. It is case number [XXX]. I spoke with Graham, the customer service representative who reported that this issue will be escalated to the regional CE Manager because of the frequency that this is happening. Graham reported to me that this CE Manager will be in touch within 2 business days which would be Monday, January 20, 2025. I received a call mid-day on Wednesday January 22, 2025 from a woman from General Motors. I was at work at my full-time job and could not speak very long.
