Sudden unintended acceleration while maneuvering to park. The acceleration was instantaneous and forceful, that in less than 20 feet of rapid movement the car forced itself over some utility poles laying behind the intended parking spot, and jumped from the utility poles, fast enough so that the first ground contact was nearly 10 feet beyond the poles (as evidenced by disturbed grass in the photo
... s). Stopped stuck on hard debris, irregular terrain, and dead tree logs. In other circumstances, this could have had grave consequences to others or the driver. We're not sure we can trust this vehicle not to do this again. Not checked with a dealer. (All manufacturers blame drivers for sudden unintended acceleration.) The vehicle is being repaired at a body shop. Damage was to front and underside. There were no prior warnings or symptoms.Read more

Currently having issues for my active recall with no remedy available
Incident date: Apr 1, 2025
Intermittently, when leaving from a stop the car will have just enough power to pull forward about a car length before losing all drive power. The engine revs, but behaves as if it were in neutral. This happened a couple times when making a left turn from a stop sign leaving the car in cross traffic, powerless, with cars coming from the drivers side for a second or two before it had power again.
... It seems to happen in hot weather. It is intermittent. The dealership could not reproduce the problem. There were no warning lamps. I could make the vehicle available for inspection upon request. The first appearance was last summer. It did not do it over the winter. It happened again yesterday. When it happens it tends to happen for a few minutes before driving normally again. It may happen at start up or after the car has been driven for some time.Read more

The vehicle was looked at and was told it didn’t have sensors for the problem, I can’t believe the vehicle didn’t have sensors for that problem when the rest of the vehicle has sensors for everything else. The vehicle should be recalled to have the sensors put on for safety concerns. I have a camera but no warning sound when object is detected.

I first noticed this issue in October of 2023. When approaching the passenger side of my 2016 fwd Honda Cr-v it would unlock without touching the door or the key fob. This caused my car to be left unlocked multiple times without noticing it which is a major safety concern. Additionally I would go to get in the driver's seat and before the car was on the seat adjusted itself to the full upright pos
... ition. Those two issues paired with the battery dying 7 times in the 8 years I have had it makes me think the electric is failing and causing the battery to constantly run which drains it. One time when the battery was not working they said it was the starter and charged $700 to fix it yesterday this is still happening. Another time this left me in dangerous situation when returning from work travel to the airport over an hour from my home and my car not starting. I had to call a tow truck to get it jumped. I called a Honda service center and the person I spoke with had never heard of these issues before. There are no warning messages when this is happening. I do not have $1000 for them to look into it.Read more

I own a 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 with a 6.2 liter L87 engine that is currently part of class action lawsuits. While driving down the highway with a car full of passengers at around 75-80mph, the vehicle shut down and would not accelerate. Frantically from the left lane, I crossed traffic almost causing an accident multiple times, to the shoulder of the highway. I then called for a tow truck t

The dealer diagnosed some mechanical issues that they said were the issue and “repaired” the vehicle. I picked the vehicle up three days later. Three weeks after that I was driving down the highway at about the same speed, 75-80mph, and my vehicle shut off again and was unresponsive. I had to then cut across three lanes of traffic frantically again and I coasted off of the highway due to an off ramp being right there and me acting quickly. The vehicle was unable to start for about 20 minutes and when I finally got it started it was making a loud audible knocking noise. I shut it down and called for a tow truck to the same dealer I had it serviced at a few week prior. I got a call the following day stating my vehicle needed an engine replacement and that I was most likely going to have to wait four months or more for it. They stated that they did not have any loaner vehicles available for me due to four other 6.2L engines needing replacement and if they had any available in the coming months, they would all be midsize SUVs. They stated that there was nothing they could due to get me a truck and only a midsize was offered which would not be any time soon anyways. "Secure vehicle against rolling" warning light comes on when vehicle's gear is shifted into park. 3 Separate Major Problems: 03/23 - 8500 miles. Driving at 70mph on highway, received message on drivers display "Conditions Not Correct For Shift", car went into Neutral, no acceleration possible. Noticed flu

Was without car for 3 months. Further research online found that others experienced the same issue while driving and had engine failure at speed resulting in life threatening driving conditions. 4/25 - 31000 miles. Last weekend, driving at highway speeds and came to traffic standstill in left lane on major highway. Went to accelerate, and received "Conditions Not Correct for Shift" message, car went into Neutral and would not accelerate. Turned car off, and tried to restart and car was stuck in Park. No way to access Neutral, leading to blocking of left lane where cars were approaching and avoiding us at highway speeds. OnStar was notified immediately with the severity of danger stressed (2 adults, 2 children and dog remained buckled in the vehicle). However, CHP took over 1 hour to arrive, shut down highway and somehow was able to start the car one time and get into Neutral for CHP to push car safely to shoulder. Dealership alerted me to failed "Fuel Control Module" To have to 3 major engine related incidents that could have lead to accident or death is unacceptable. Online research shows these issues have been common for this vehicle engine and is absolutely unacceptable. For a driver to not be able to safely engage a Neutral override is absolutely unacceptable. On 11 Apr 2025, I was driving my 2023 Honda Passport at night on a toll road in clear weather when my infant son began screaming in distress. As I did, the vehicle suddenly began rolling forward despite being in Park
... with the door open and the seatbelt off. I fell trying to exit and had to roll away from the vehicle as it continued moving. A passenger jumped into the front seat and stopped it. This wasn’t a lurch or slight movement the car rolled enough to put me in danger. It behaved as if it were in Neutral, not Park. I later tested the same conditions (engine running, door open, seatbelt off), and the vehicle auto-shifted to Park as designed. This confirms the safety feature failed in that moment. No warning lights, alerts, or error messages appeared before or during the incident. I reported the issue to Honda and asked the dealer to inspect the transmission and interlock systems. No faults or diagnostic codes were found. The service advisor said Park can take a second to engage, but the movement I experienced was excessive and unsafe. This is a serious safety concern, especially with children in the car. I’ve also seen other reports of similar issues in Passport and Pilot forums. The engine (1.5L EcoBoost) has suffered a failure due to coolant intrusion into cylinder 3, which has led to repeated engine misfires. Trouble codes P0303 (misfire cylinder 3) and P0316 (misfire on startup) were found. The vehicle is currently available for inspection, and a diagnosis was performed by two Ford-certified mechanics using a borescope, confirming the presence of coolant in the combust
... ion chamber. The misfires cause rough running, hesitation, and potential stalling, especially during startup and acceleration. This creates dangerous situations in traffic, such as loss of power while merging or crossing intersections, increasing the risk of a collision. Both technicians concluded the engine has coolant intrusion and recommended a short block replacement as the only viable fix. I was quoted approximately $10,000 for the repair. The vehicle has been inspected by the manufacturer (Ford), but despite acknowledging this is a known issue with the 1.5L EcoBoost engine in various Ford models, they are unwilling to assist with covering the cost of the repair in my case. The Check Engine Light initially came on intermittently and then became constant.
