... signed a consent to extract EDR (event data recorders) for inspection but denied me to be onsite or a copy of the files, The data retained from EDR is the property of the owner, per section 563.5 of title 49, Code of Federal Regulations. 4. 4 weeks later, Subaru issued the results of this vehicle indicate it has no brake, accelerator or throttle abnormalities. Also quoting the police report that I provided. 5. There was no EDR saved in the accident, Subaru cannot provide any summary or why the computer did not capture any of the events, the brake pedal, gas pedal, etc. 6. There has been over $12,000 damage on the Subaru, over $7,000 on the parked car, and the garage door. The insurance repair for the vehicles only address body work and no mention of the EDR testing, engine and throttle, eyesight, etc. 7. Subaru should be more transparent and issue the summary of the inspection from the team, not the Adovcacy (advocating for Subaru). The car battery went completely dead on March 14, 2025 and was told there is nothing wrong with it after the dealer service center look at it on March 15. The inspector was going to determine if the vehicle is drivable. 8. The car is under 3 year warranty with extended warranty for 7 years. ... been inspected by a mechanic who verified the concern and attempted a factory reset (which did not solve the issue), and they continue to claim there's nothing they can do since their OBD scans return no fault codes, even though there are numerous TSBs (filed with NHTSA) that point to available software updates that should be applied to address infotainment-related issues. This appears to be a widespread issue based on the numerous reports found on user forums online, affecting the same model year vehicles (for multiple examples, refer to [XXX] ). It is also interesting that most of the users experiencing this issue, also report it starting around the same time (Jan/Feb 2025), and they all have similar software versions, and likely production dates. This should be considered a safety issue, as the reboots can happen in the middle of a reverse parking maneuver, and they render the backup camera and obstacle detection sensors completely inoperative until the system reloads. They also impact safety on the highway, as the reboots completely disable the navigation screens, and require multiple user input to restore, while driving. The engine mounts—normally last 10-14 yrs before needing to be replaced—suddenly failed. Wiring harnesses weren’t secured, not informed of new engine warranty coverage being only for 1 yr. 2nd Engine Failure (Dec 2024): Less than 22k miles later, the engine failed again—this time 4 months outside the so-called 1-yr warranty that I was never told about. Now, I’m expected to pay out of pocket for another engine, which would conveniently include a 3-yr warranty this time. Why wasn’t the 1st replacement engine covered under the same terms? Purchased with: 45,000 miles 1st engine failed at: 53,594 miles, Coolant hose/engine mount issues: 61,000 miles, 2nd engine failed at: 84,193 miles if inspection is needed, I have photos. It has been confirmed by northpark lincoln dealership. It was inspected by the manufacturer and other mechanics, not affiliated with dealership. No warning signs no warning lamps no codes thrown no nothing until the loss of acceleration and torque combined with the amount of white smoke coming out of the tailpipe in the middle of the summer. It was the only notification it was too late by that point the damage has been done. On both occasions, the exact same thing happened no warning lights no check engine lights no MIL lights, or codes thrown just simply a huge cloud of dust coming from the tailpipe, and you lose almost all power and acceleration. The CVT valve body was diagnosed as defective by the Subaru Dealership service department. The car was taken to the dcealership when the A/T OIL EMP, HILL ASSIST, ABS and TRACTION CONTROL, STABILITY CONTROL lights came up. The valve body is still available for inspection. The car was taken to the dealership for a Brake Light Switch recall that has the same simptoms.

I pulled off the road and ate and got back in and all lights gone however 3/7, 3/18, 3/21, 3/22 it all came on again but was gone on arrival to dealership. I had brake fluid checked and it was almost empty, unusual and I know if it leaks and gets wet it corrodes discs, and that is the recall and that is what happened. So far no satisfaction from Mazda other than me paying to have it fixed including a complete brake system flush which should NOT be due till about 50k. I know CX 30 was recalled for this issue, they missed mine. Last service invoice In August says brakes are good, all fluids topped off, yet brake fluid was almost empty and corrision is not even front to rear, salt air is the same on both sides of my car. And why and where is the fluid? I had a third party check it before going in for service (he didn't touch because I'm under warranty but is experienced person in business) .. The engine is failing. Our vehicle continues to experience tremendous oil consumption and it's all of a sudden gone into "limp mode" where we lose engine power even after the knock sensor recall update was performed. ... or us as we try to drive the vehicle. The dealer / Hyundai had us do 2 oil consumption tests but would not do anything to fix the issue. They informed us they needed to replace the engine after the first oil consumption but then they backed off of that and didn't fix the issue. It’s just gotten worse. We also had a transmission service done and they said the transmission looked fine. We took it in for a diagnostic just after this as the power issue began in "limp mode" where we lose engine power. They are trying to say it needs a new transmission but with the known issues with the Hyundai oil consumption and engine issues where the vehicles go into power loss / limp mode, we’re reporting this issue for our safety and the safety of the community as it’s unsafe to drive this care. We hope you will push Hyundai to do a recall for the engine not just for us but for all Hyundai Owners who are dealing with the same issue.Read more
