Losing battery power has left us stranded, and the loss of outside lighting reduces our visibility for other drivers to see the vehicle. Upon research, this has been reported and reproduced numerous times to the manufacturer, dealers, and NHTSA with no solutions reached except charging the customer to repair the issue (this is unacceptable). My 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer is about 3 months old and it’s been making squeaky noises when I break. The squeaky sound is getting worse over time and I have an appointment scheduled with Chevrolet to get this resolved. My concern is a 2022 recall on this same vehicle due to the break system. Therefore, I am reporting this for the year or 2023 because my car is brand new and making screech noise
... s every time I break. Also, my electric system randomly stops working. For example, my touch screen Car play system pixelates and sometimes doesn’t even work. I turned off my car and the radio stayed on and the volume wasn’t going down. The car was off and the radio was still playing! After about 15 mins the radio stopped playing while the car was off. Something isn’t right with my trailblazer, electric and breaks. Lastly, in the images you will see as my millage goes up so does the remaining fuel miles I have left. The fuel miles left are suppose to go down as I’m using the car. Therefore, something is also wrong with my electric dashboard system and fuel meter. Please consider a recall, this is dangerous.Read more

Paint is peeling off in substantial amounts. The door pillars/roof rails are almost completely bare metal. There is a large paint bubble on the trunk that will come off soon. The roof, hood, doors all have paint delaminating and coming off. Its all getting worse by the day. I've discovered that this is a common issue with Kias in my year range (2014), model (Optima) and color (white) particularly.
... The paint started to delaminate about maybe a year ago and I let my local Kia dealership know and they said there was nothing they could do. It got so bad I went to a body shop in my area about 4 months ago, JJ paint and body shop in Bakersfield, CA, and he told me it should be covered by Kia, so I went through Kias customer care program with them intaking my information, getting photos, quotes and service records, only for them to take 10 weeks to deny rectifying this paint issue citing that the paint was out of warranty (3 years 36, 000 miles). I appealed to the BBB Auto Line and they took several weeks as well to come to the same result citing the warranty. This widely known paint defect is Kias fault, I know Toyota has had paint issues of the same type and they warranty it for 10 years. I wash my cars regularly and keep them up to date on service. It is unfathomable to me that I should bear the financial responsibility to repaint my vehicle. There's more damage than I could show, being limited to only 10 pictures. I'm hoping that this organization can give me recourse.Read more

I purchased my Mazda CX5 in July of 2017. In August 2018 I was driving on an expressway and the car started balking and cut out completely on the side of the road. The engine light was on. I called roadside assistance which I had purchased at the time I bought the car. They had no one in the area. After sitting at the side of the road with the hood up the car started. I took the car to an Auto Z
... one. They put the car on their computer and did not find a problem other than the engine light coming on. Since that incident the car has had identical problems in city driving and expressway driving. There is absolutely no warning other than the sudden balking and stalling. Twice I have been driving on the expressway at 75 mph in New Mexico and have had to limp to the breakdown lane with semitrucks going by within a foot of my disabled vehicle. We never let the car go below a quarter of a tank of gas. Mazda had recalls on fuel pumps in 2018 and 19 CX5s. The description of the problems on the recalls are identical to what happens with my car. That doesn't seem to impress Mazda as the dealership dismisses my problem as not being under the companies recall specifications. I checked with the dealership each time I brought the car in and got the pat answer, 'not covered under the recall list". I finally took the car to Crippen Mazda where I purchased the car specifically to check the problem. They had the car for the day, did not find anything and although they said they road tested the car it hadn't gone 1 mile according to their records. $130 charge. The answer, "bring it in when the engine light is on". The engine light does not stay on. I called "Mazda customer service" and was told to take a picture when the car stalled. Take a picture of what? They told me they would send an email which never happened. I wrote a letter to Mazda headquarters and have not gotten a response. I now have a car which has intermittent problems and no help from Mazda.Read more
