Good Evening, I'm writing to request a callback in regards to my 2014 Toyota Prius which is subject to a recall. I recently just moved back to South Florida, I was living in NJ for a few years and had the Inverter malfunction earlier this February, 2023, forcing the car to enter the fail safe mode described giving me the warning to "Check Hybrid System, Stop the Vehicle in a Safe Place". The car was at Toyota Universe, Little Falls, NJ for about 45 days, since this was going to take the complete replacing of the inverter and an update of some sort of software. After receiving the car back around March 17th, I moved back to Florida about 2 weeks later. This evening around 5:30 returning from work, the car stalled again while I was driving surrounded by dense traffic, wouldn't accelerate with all lights flashing. Thankfully I was able to pull over slowly into a parking lot after which my steering wheel locked, and my car was no longer able to be put into Drive or Reverse. Car was only able to shift into Neutral and Park. This was the most terrifying experience of my life had something worse happen in the middle of traffic. I have dropped off my car to the dealership parking lot and will be checking it in first thing in the morning. I'd like to ascertain what I should expect from Toyota Manufacturing should this issue be unfixable? I am more than happy to let them attempt fixing it, but I also need to live a normal life and don't feel the need to be responsible for a manufacturing defect putting my life in jeopardy every time I go drive.Read more

The Ford F53 Chassis built for motorhomes has a Ford Factory Advance Trac Warning System. When this system detects a fault the chassis looses Cruise Control, Hill Assists Feature, and Anti Lock Brakes. I am still having to pay insurance & car tag fees for my truck while I wait for an answer from the dealer, I have no idea if they will warranty it or when the truck will be repaired. On a separate note there is also an open fuel pump recall on my truck that is close to a year old with no ETA on a fix. This time, repairs were more extensive and the wiring harness was replaced. I was traveling with work yesterday (34,458 miles on truck now) and the "Service 4WD" light came on again. I've contacted the dealership to schedule a time at the end of week or early Saturday to take the truck back again. While reviewing other complaints, I noticed a similar problem where the customer indicated the "Service Tow System" light was coming on. It too was allegedly caused from moisture intrusion. I'm currently over 3 hours from home through the end of the week. I'm hoping the truck will make it home without creating a catastrophe on the Interstate between here and there.Read more

I was experiencing intermittent Bluetooth connection issues along with vehicle not powering off and the gear shifting to park when moving the vehicle at (very) low speed without the seatbelt buckled. ... sla diagnosed the problem as a faulty seat occupancy sensor (SOS). Tesla told me that the driver side seat SOS is “sticky” that the car didn’t consistently know there was a driver in the car when I sit on the seats (which explained why the car would put itself in park when driven at low speed (<3mph) without seatbelt on, and why the engine kept running even after I stepped out of the car when the car wasn’t locked ( like, when the car is parked in the house’s garage). Further research on the web (https://www.carproblemzoo.com/tesla/model3/2018/seats-problems.php ) shows that other teslas had faulty seat occupancy sensors at both driver side and passenger side. Faulty sensors may lead to improper, or failed, airbag deployment. This is a safety issue that Tesla had known and should have performed a recall and fixed, or the very least sent a billeting to its service centers so that they would check the seat sensor when someone’s complaining about any of the three symptoms I had. When I took the car to Tesla in Feb 2023 their (mis)diagnosis was that I had too many wires plugged into USB ports and that’s why the Bluetooth didn’t connect. I didn’t complain about the vehicle going to park by itself - as I thought it was a “safety feature”. After a small pebble hit my windshield, an extremely large crack appeared and grew within moments of the impact. It has spiderwebbed all over the windshield and obstructed the vehicle's EYESIGHT cameras. A second impact within a few days has done the same right in front of the driver's seat. The spiderwebbing of the cracks was near immediate and grew faster than 3 inches per minute.

Steering wheels seems to stick while turning at low speed and highway speeds steering does no respond correctly when trying to do turns steering wheel will stick to where its moved and wont move back itself to original position. At high way speeds car is hard to keep in lane because of steering wheel feeling like it sticks.

CVT Transmission issues The car looses power starts high RPM and will not shift then accelerator fails to respond altogether causing car to suddenly slowdown in traffic. This is second time this has happened; first occurrence was on 3/27/22. the dealership reprogramed the cars computer that time. 4/23/23 This time I had to have the car towed back to the dealership.
