My vehicle has had a multitude of errors for 5 months now about the safety systems being disabled, seat controls malfunctioning, etc. Tesla refused to repair the car (despite only being months old) because I had requested a buyback due to other electrical issues with the vehicle. ... contacted Tesla about this months ago and after they pulled the logs from the car, I was assured it was just a generic error and assured me that the car was safe to drive. Today, I found out how to access "service mode" where I could read ALL of the service alerts. It turns out the vehicle is reporting electrical "resistance too high" errors with the airbags which is clearly a safety issue. These errors go back months and were present when Tesla lied about the vehicle being safe to drive. Could the electrical issues cause the airbags to not deploy in a crash or, worse, deploy when they should not which would likely result in a crash? The errors appear to indicate that as they state "The left seat airbag may not perform as designed" and "The farside airbag may not perform as designed". Meanwhile, it's been nearly 5 months since I requested the buyback from Tesla due to this vehicle not being safe to drive, breaking down repeatedly, etc, and they have STILL not responded to my requests. I am at a loss as to how a car manufacturer can get away with such egregious behavior that puts their customers in danger.Read more

The engine is knocking and stalling out. Lawrence Kia has had my car for three weeks, and nothing has been done. After investigating the issue, the failure is related to NHTSA Campaign Number 17V224000 (Engine and Engine Cooling). The recall is to replace engines. The manufacturer was contacted, and a case was opened. The failure mileage was 104,000.

This has been a consistent on-going issue with my brand new 2023 Tesla Model Y. ... ghway road trips and on both trips, the phantom breaking has occurred multiple times. Some of the incidents the car would go from 75MPH to 45MPH in a matter of seconds. From research done, this "Phantom Breaking" is a serious issue that Tesla says is due to software issues and not hardware issues. Our safety was put at risk because the person behind us might not be paying attention when cruising on open road, during daylight, etc and could rear-end our car. There have been no predictors or weather conditions that cause the braking. Usually, for us, has happened on sunny days on multi-lane highways with not a lot of traffic. This is in regards to Recall # 14S10 (Ford) and NHTSA # 14V393000. I was driving my 2013 Ford Edge when turning there was a pop, and vehicle would not engage into any gear causing an extreme safety issue. After being towed, it was noted that the intermediate shaft was broke and sheared the gears off. This is a very uncommon finding. We contacted Ford and was told there was not a recall on this veh
... icle. Therefore, we replaced, through Ford, the intermediate shaft and 2 new CV axles (ordered through a parts store). Once repairs were completed, the CV axle seal leaked and was also replaced. It started shaking upon acceleration. We then replaced the motor mounts and struts in an attempt to fix the problem. We also put another CV axle on passenger side at that time. At this point, after speaking to several different professionals regarding our problem, we were then informed that there WAS a recall for this very problem on 2013 Edge. We contacted Ford again and gave them the recall numbers. They then agreed that the recall should have included this vehicle but that our particular VIN number was not included in the initial recall. We were advised by Ford to bring the vehicle in and let them inspect it. After inspection, they found that when the intermediate shaft went out, it damaged the transmission. They also stated that looking into the history of this vehicle, this is not the first time for this problem with this particular Edge. They stated this should've been included in the original recall as this is the exact reason for the recall. We were advised to contact you with this complaint so that this Edge with Vin number can be added to the recall and fixed accordingly. This Edge is currently at the Ford dealer awaiting your response. I implore you to consider adding this VIN # to the original recall. The Ford dealer is in agreement that this is the exact reason for the recall. Thankfully, no one was injured during the initial incident which could have been serious.Read more

(Eyesight Assist, Vehicle Dynamic Control, Brake & Engine Lights), the vehicle started jerking back and forth and I lost all but maybe 5 miles of power. My choice at that time was put my blinker on and try and move to the right - letting the Tractor Trailer pass me on the right and HOPE there was not another vehicle behind so I could move over safely at that crawling speed or go to the left into the gully. This could have been a multiple car collision and maybe fatalities due to the speed and loss of control of my vehicle. After towing to the nearest dealer, they determined it was the Thermo Control Valve. I see now that there is a "service bulletin" and design change of this component and that other Subaru drivers have been affected the same way. This is a very serious situation. ... placed and the cost is $2500. After research, I found that the NHTSA had issued recall 14S06 for 2011-2013 Ford Explorers with the exact same issue I've reported. A quick Google search shows that Ford Explorers continue to have these same issues, yet another recall has not been issued. Had my steering wheel locked up on me on the 5-lane interstate I was on, I would have created a major accident hurting myself and many others. This particular interstate has over 2 million drivers daily and is the most dangerous interstate in the United States. It is unbelievable to me that Ford has not fixed this major failure in their vehicles. I've attached an article below that speaks to an additional recall and also mentions that the backup camera fails. Oddly enough my backup camera stopped working a couple weeks ago. Over the last two months, I've had over 30 incidences where the car will either randomly shift extremely hard into a gear or will hesitate, stutter, lose power while accelerating. Some of the shifts have been so hard that they've thrown me forward. Some of the losses of power are extremely dangerous as I'm accelerating at highway speeds. I have a full log of at least 30 of these incidents (and det
... ailed as best I could) and they are attached. I picked May 11th because that was the hardest shift/loss of power which caused me the greatest harm. I've been able to reproduce the errors in drive, sport, and Tiptronic mode. The errors occur in all gears, but are most common in 2nd and 3rd (although the higher gears are involved as well), which leads me to believe it's not the transmission, yet the mechatronics unit or something outside of the transmission and engine itself. The troubling issue here is that the car is recording absolutely zero fault codes for diagnosis; that is, the car is shifting, stuttering, hesitating randomly and erratically and no diagnostics are being provided to resolve the issue. Technicians are able to guess what the issue is, but cannot give a guarantee what the problem is without the fault codes. This is the greatest safety concern, but luckily no crashes so far. I was interested to learn that there was a recall on the same model by the Australian government related to the pressure accumulator and I'd like to see if this could be the issue, since I'm experiencing the same symptoms as those described in the recall: https://www.vehiclerecalls.gov.au/recalls/rec-005369.
