This complaint with the NHTSA is to bring to your attention malfunctioning Sync 3 systems caused by an Over the Air (OTA) update Ford has pushed out to vehicles without permission from owners that has caused the Sync Systems to malfunction. Ford has stated that no software update is currently available to fix it. Replacing the APIM will fix the Sync 3 system. Vehicles under warranty are eligible for a no-charge APIM replacement. Vehicles out of warranty, like mine, are subject to +$1000 Ford repair charge. I believe Ford is responsible to repair all Sync 3 systems that they broke. These repairs should be made regardless of warranty. This likely warrants a recall by Ford as soon as possible. Rear coil spring is broken. Normal driving conditions and we noticed a significant vibration. Upon inspection of rear suspension we found a broken rear coil spring. I researched this issue and found that VW recalled several other 2015 models for rear coil springs breaking. This is a major safety issue. Currently we cannot use the car due to this safety issue.

The change in volume and music caused me to swerve suddenly while in downtown traffic. 3) The radio changed stations continuously for 5 minutes, changing screens and stations for 5 minutes until I finally shut it off. These are just a couple of the examples. Something happens every time I am in the vehicle, the extent varies. All of these situations cause the driver to lose focus of driving, and also create a shock when first happening. After investigation, I have found that many owners of 2017-2020 GMC vehicles with the Infotainment system have the same issue. Some have fixed the problem by installing new systems (GM offers an "upgraded" system that doesn't have the issue... Coincidence?). This leads me to believe that GM acknowledges there is an issue but will not fix it as a recall. The driver's door opens while the cat is moving. I spoke to the Service Manager at Vision Kia in East Rochester, NY and he told me this is a safety feature. I don't believe the doors are supposed to open when the car is moving at highway speed. They do lock o once the vet moves but still open from inside.

I cut the car off and it continued to smoke for approximately an hour. The car was about to catch on fire with no warning lights and the hazardous smoke out of the vents. The problem was diagnosed by Dan’s Auto Center. I can not move my car because it will smoke at the engine and cause a fire risk. The low coolant sensor came on a few days after purchased. I took it to get it diagnosed and the cost from that place quoted approximately 3,000 dollars. I put coolant in it and did not drive it for awhile. The sensor went off and the coolant was still full. There were no signs, no sensor, no overheating, just all the sudden huge clouds of smoke coming from my hood of the car. BMW has a lot of recalls for this same situation, but my car (year) is not listed.I do not understand this. Please add my car to the list, this is a 2000 to 3000 job and I have to get my car towed to a place if I ever can. Can I take this to a BMW Place and ask them to fix due to other recalls? During a cross country trip, failure of tire valve extender, resulted in loss of tire pressure. This sudden loss of pressure could have resulted in a vehicle highway accident. ... e was lost. The first failure was detected when we stopped for gas and noticed the right rear, outside tire was severely damaged/flat. Fortunately, the inside tire was undamaged and prevented loss of control of the RV on the highway. We had a service repair company replace the tire. During the repair, the technician, noted that the tire tread looked good, but discovered that tire extender valve and valve stem were both damaged, concluding this damage caused the tire to deflate. Since we were unaware of the flat while traveling on the highway, we had apparently driven on the flat for some period of time causing the additional tire damage. Two hours of travel after the first damaged tire was replace, we discover the left outside tire flat when stopping for fuel. Again, no warning from the vehicle alerted us. The next service technician, inspected the tire and discovered the valve stem had failed as a result of stress from the valve extender. After this problem, we had all other extenders removed for the remaining of the trip. Note: A recall was issued a year ago as a result of safety concerns with wheel liners and the extenders (concern was exact scenario I experienced twice!). Our thermo control valve (TCV) assembly failed and caused dangerous loss of speed and control while on the highway. Subaru is fully aware of the defect in their design as they issued a service bulletin to inform their service centers of a new, fixed TCV assembly that is retaining the same part number (a notice only sent to their service centers, NOT to owners). Instead, they are letting us put our families and other drivers in dangerous situations through sudden loss of control. I keep having electrical problems with my my radio UConnect and my powertrain. I take great care of my car only let the dealership handle my issues. I've read online that there was a recall for dodge chargers powertrain, but I've never been notified.

On July 4th, my vehicle lost engine power and flashed a quick prompt of "engine warning" before turning off completely, smoke from under the hood which resulted in a fire. I was able to extinguish it fortunately. I have since discovered there are three open recalls, which I received no notification about. I frequently check for recalls and all sites say there are none.
